How do you open the cover of engine coolant in Chevy Corsica 96?
Never remove this cover. It is glued, and once opened it is trash. My guess is that your low coolant light stays on. If this is so, and you have been told to replace the sensor, DON'T. It is probably not the sensor, but the sticking float inside. The sensor is a smooth finger like thing that plugs in from the bottom of the reservoir on the side nearest the engine. It doesn't touch the water. Amagnet on a float just inside the reservoir activates the sensor. When the reservoir is hot and full, bang on it a few times(gently- don't break it). This should free it up for quite a while. Jake McCahn

How do you replace the heater core on a 1991 Corsica with V-6 engine?
go to the librery and find a repair book. most of them have how to do the replacement in it. There are several books by different authers.
There probably are several possible causes, and I will provide those which I can recall. In order for the heater core to heat the air passing through it, there must be HOT water [engine coolant] FLOWING THROUGH the core. Obviously, in spite of the replacement parts you installed, something MUST BE preventing that flow of hot water. Most, if not all, vehicle heating systems which use engine coolant as the source of heat, have a control valve [linked to the heater controls on the dash] which "turns off" the coolant flow when the control is off, and vice versa. If THAT valve is in the off position, hot coolant CANNOT flow to the heater core. Possible causes for that failure of coolant flow could include: 1) The control VALVE is "frozen" (stuck), in the CLOSED POSITION. This could be caused by corrosion, or a broken or disconnected control cable linkage. 2) Some kind of BLOCKAGE ANYWHERE in the system. This could be in any of the hoses, or in the the connector "elbows" to the engine, or some other point in the engine cooling system. 3)Unless you have had the vehicle since it was new, a previous owner may have installed an extra, inline cutoff valve somewhere in the system, in order to fully shut it down during the heat of summer. If such a valve exists, it could be in the closed position. In addition to the above good answer, the thermostat may be installed upside down. Spring goes toward the engine block. ______answer---- All of the above are good answers, on my 92 Corsica there is a heater door controlled by a vac switch. If the switch is bad it will not allow heated air to the cars interior, it's unusual but there is no inline valve on the heater hose it's self.

How do you remove and replace starter for 94 Chevy Corsica?
first disconnect the battery. *note (if your car is equipped with the delco loc 2 audio system be sure to deactivate this first before disconnecting battery)if it allready is not active disconnect battery cables you will need an 8mm wrench for that. next locate starter under the vehicle on the lower front side of the motor. remove the wiring from the starter this will require a 13mm wrench and an 8mm wrench.place wiring to the side noting where each of the wires go *note hold wiring near the connections so you don't break the terminals on the wires allthough easy to fix it is a pain in the but to do so.now you will need to remove bracket at front of starter this takes a 13mm wrench for the bolt to the block and a 10mm at the front of the starteryou may only have to loosen bolt at the block and remove the nut from the starter and bracket should be able to be swung to the side. now take a 15mm socket and ratchet with small exstension bar. remove final 2 bolts that mount the starter to the block.again note if a shim plate is used between the block and starter because you will need to put this back in when the new starter is installed.will cause starter hangups and wreck your flywheel if it is not. install new starter with shimplate if it applys to your vehicle.do not tighten bolts until all bolts and brackets have been lined up and started. than tighten bolts. install wiring making sure you got them in there right spots than reconnect battery.and anything else you may have had to remove. front engine splash guard etc.tahat should do it good luck and i hope this helped.

91 corsica engine stalls while in park or when slowing to a stop?
Stalling when stopping can be a sign of a bad lock-up torque converter solenoid. But if it stalls while in park, it may also be a very bad vacuum leak, especially if it idles rough. I am assuming it has good plugs and plug wires.
