I went to my local AutoZone and ask that question they gave me a (free) key like thing that goes under your dash (they even showed me a picture of where to place the key)turn your ignition on and count the flashes on your service engine light, then call AutoZone and they will tell you what the flashes indicate the problem is. And it is all at no cost.

Sounds like the torque converter is staying locked up when it should be unlocking as soon as you touch the brake. I had this problem with an 88 Beretta. It could be a sticky solenoid valve in the transmission, or the torque converter is bad. A transmission shop could better diagnose this by seeing the vehicle.

The heater core is just below the top of the dash, below the A/C condensor behind the radio. You will need a manual, and a good aftermarket heater core of 100% aluminum. The factory one is half plastic that is why the plastic tube(s) broke coming out of the firewall and dumped coolant behind the engine. Jake McCahn

it depends on what motor it has.if its the 4cyl unplug the spark plu wires from the coil pack that is on the back of the motor.if its the 6cyl same thing but the coil pack is on the bottom front of the motor

Well it depends on what you are looking to do. First you know jack it up, pull the wheels, take off the drum. That might be difficult depending on when the last time they were taken off. Then you need to take the springs and clips off the shoes. You need a special tool to do this. Its cheap dont worry. Just undo everything, and it all goes back the same way. Do one side at a time so you have the other to check if you get lost. Its easy. Good Luck

Well, you haven't given the year of your Corsica, nor if you're looking to change the front or rear bulb. I'll start with the rear... Open the trunk, and on the inside where the rear light clusters are, you should see 6 plastic wingnuts (you may have to peel back any interior carpeting if equipped). Remove these wingnuts and set them aside. Remember the taller ones go to the 4 corners and the short ones with the open top threads go in the two middle positions. Once this is done, grip the rear tail light assembly (removal is mirrored on the opposite side) and pull straight back evenly on all sides. The light cluster will come free, and you can access the light sockets on the back. You have to turn the bulb seats about a 1/4 turn to remove them from the cluster housing.

Reassemble in the reverse order you disassembled.

Take the vent off which is all connected, start at the vent and pull from the top of the vent. Once that is off in light go to the hood and remove the black battery cable the ground. Go back to the car an unscrew the screws and the nuts attached to the radio. After that pull the radio out the antenna cord will pop out and you have to pull the retaining clip off and pull out the radio like magic.

There are several located in back of radiator close to the starter.

If it's for a starter, it's on the starter itself you'll see a big positive on it with ground and signal up front near radiator small round connected to big round is a starter with cylinoid If still not found websearch with year

Loosen the tensioner pulley on your 1988 Chevrolet Corsica. When the tensioner pulley is loose the serpentine belt will easily come off. Put the new serpentine belt on and tighten the tensioner pulley.

If it is still under warranty, take it to the dealer. Sounds like the timing is off.

Never remove this cover. It is glued, and once opened it is trash. My guess is that your low coolant light stays on. If this is so, and you have been told to replace the sensor, DON'T. It is probably not the sensor, but the sticking float inside. The sensor is a smooth finger like thing that plugs in from the bottom of the reservoir on the side nearest the engine. It doesn't touch the water. Amagnet on a float just inside the reservoir activates the sensor. When the reservoir is hot and full, bang on it a few times(gently- don't break it). There probably are several possible causes, and I will provide those which I can recall. In order for the heater core to heat the air passing through it, there must be HOT water [engine coolant] FLOWING THROUGH the core. Obviously, in spite of the replacement parts you installed, something MUST BE preventing that flow of hot water. Most, if not all, vehicle heating systems which use engine coolant as the source of heat, have a control valve [linked to the heater controls on the dash] which "turns off" the coolant flow when the control is off, and vice versa. If THAT valve is in the off position, hot coolant CANNOT flow to the heater core. Possible causes for that failure of coolant flow could include: 1) The control VALVE is "frozen" (stuck), in the CLOSED POSITION. This could be caused by corrosion, or a broken or disconnected control cable linkage. 2) Some kind of BLOCKAGE ANYWHERE in the system. This could be in any of the hoses, or in the the connector "elbows" to the engine, or some other point in the engine cooling system. 3)Unless you have had the vehicle since it was new, a previous owner may have installed an extra, inline cutoff valve somewhere in the system, in order to fully shut it down during the heat of summer. If such a valve exists, it could be in the closed position. In addition to the above good answer, the thermostat may be installed upside down. Spring goes toward the engine block. ______answer---- All of the above are good answers, on my 92 Corsica there is a heater door controlled by a vac switch. If the switch is bad it will not allow heated air to the cars interior, it's unusual but there is no inline valve on the heater hose it's self.

the fuel injectors sensors are turned off by the anti-theft device ? my 99 blazer did this and had to reset the device.. turn key on and to the start position leave on for 10 minutes , then try to start it , if it doesn't start just repeat this .. one mechanic says it had to be done 3 three times in a row. in order to fix the problem.. i learned this, only after replacing a working fuel pump .......... who knew! the fuel injectors sensors are turned off by the anti-theft device ? my 99 blazer did this and had to reset the device.. turn key on and to the start position leave on for 10 minutes , then try to start it , if it doesn't start just repeat this .. one mechanic says it had to be done 3 three times in a row. in order to fix the problem.. i learned this, only after replacing a working fuel pump .......... who knew! I have been experiencing the same problem, I have changed the fuel filter several times, and replaced the fuel pump the problem still exists. As far as I can see the only thing left to change is the fuel pressure regulator?

Check on and near the steering column under the dash. If one side works, turn it on and follow the sound.

hey raise the hood 2 plastic 1/4 turn hand held screws above headlight remove them and cover reach down and unplug 2 bulbs one is hi beam one is low unplug twist out to remove this car is a hard one to work on do u know how to change the heater core on this car if so respond to spapaanddama@wm connect.com
