How do you replace the front blower on a 1983 Chevy G20 van?

Looking at the procedure in my 1980 GM service manual and comparing it to my 1984 G20 van, it apears to be simple process. 1983 should be very close. Negative battery cable must be disconnected. Coolant recovery tank and power antenna need to be removed. Blower motor lead wire is disconnected. Blower motor mounting screws (number may vary) are removed. Blower motor and wheel (cage) are removed as an assembly by prying gently on the blower flange. The sealer may be damaged in the process. The wheel can be removed from the motor. Apply new bead of sealer to the entire circumference of the mounting flange of the new motor. Installation is reverse of removal.

What it the towing capacity of a 1981 Dodge 350 custom van?

It depends on the engine you have, the 318 or the 360, and the rear differential. The lower the gear, the more towing capacity you will have. A transmission cooler usual adds towing capacity as well. My 2001 3500 van with a 360 and 4.10 rear end will tow 10,000 lbs.( I think).

What causes the fuel pump on 1988 Suzuki Samurai to go bad?

I used to own a number of Samurai's, and had the mechanical fuel pumps go bad a couple times. But not the way you'd expect: It would still pump fuel, but I'd have engine oil leak out of the tube that came out of the pump and run down the back side of the engine and over the bell housing. It seemed to be the diaphragm would spring a leak, at least that's what I think it was. And since the mechanical fuel pump was bolted to the passenger side of the head near the back of the engine is powered by a rod that gets driven off the camshaft, if there is an internal fault in the pump you can end up running low on oil! I think it is just something that happens..no big deal, not hard to replace. Good luck!

Can 17 inch rims fit a Chevy G20 van?

As long as they have the correct bolt pattern, yes. If they are wider you may need to check clearance, and you might also need to get wider fender flares to keep the van road-legal. I think it's generally acceptable to have a third of the tire's width exposed, but you'll need to check your local regulations.

You'd also need to get new tires, but you know that already.

Why doesn't the heater on my 1992 Chevy G20 work?

If you are getting no heater fan inside, then probably the heater blower motor resistor or fan motor. If the fan blows and you get cold air, then check the coolant level in the radiator first. If coolant level is good, then check to make sure the heater control head in the vehicle is actually on heat position, with regards to the heat door down below under/behind dash. Sometimes the actuator door/heat blend door get's stuck or broken in one position. Also could be a stuck thermostat or clogged heater core. If a clogged heater core, could try switching hoses at firewall to unclog.
