Make sure all the bolts are there and tight and in good condition. check your brake rotors. If they are warped it will make your car shake when you brake. Make sure the lug nuts on your wheels are all tight. check the balance of your tire. check your ball joints

First off block off the rear wheels, put the handbrake on.
Jack up the side that you want to work on first.

Remove the axle nut, its the giant nut usually 32mm directly in the middle of your brake rotor.
Now, comes the tricky part, remove the cotter pin and nut that is right underneath the hub assembly, it holds the lower ball joint in place. now what i do is take a giant hammer and pound on the lower control arm, its the arm that the lower ball joints piece sticks out. what ever you do don't hit it on the threads where you just took the nut off at.
once you just it a couple of good whacks it should kinda drop and loosen up allowing you to manuver the hub assembly away and take the axle out.
Keep in mind the passenger side may have a intermediate shaft, under the car towards the center that you may need to unbolt also.

Remove brake caliper and hang it out of the way with a piece of wire. Remove brake rotor. Disconnect tie rod end from steering knuckle. Separate and detach lower and upper ball joints from knuckle. Using a puller, push the drive axle out of the hub. Remove steering knuckle. Remove axle assembly. Torque front axle hub nut to 103 ft lbs during assembly.
Once the CV boots have failed (unless you were watching when it happened) the cv joint inside has gone bad from grit and running dry. Don't mess with an individual CV joint. Replacing the whole axle makes much more sense in the long run, since it is actually less effort and you will end up with a new axle and 2 new CV joints. The axle half-shaft includes both CV joints for that side of the vehicle.
