Dodge Durango

I have had my flasher unit go bad. I was surprised when neither myself, a reputable auto parts store, nor the parts dept. at the local Dodge dealer knew where it was. A peak in the biggest parts book revealed it to be part 1-56021915AA, and it is located on a fuse block attached to the main block behind the driver side access door. The relay is accessable from under the dash, its way up high on the fuse block and its green in color. There may be bundles of wires blocking its access, having small hands would help also. I hope this info helps out somebody.

I recently replaced the fuel pump on my '97 with the 4.0 V8 and I would guess that the procedure is the same. First I went to the public library, found a repair manual, and photocopied the appropriate sections. After removing the hoses, belt cover, belts, etc. you'll get to the pump. The pump is strictly the impeller and pully wheel. I spent about $50.00 at NAPA for my unit. You will, however, need a special Cadilac/Buick/Olds removal tool for the Northstar engine. GM prices run from $100 to $180.00 on this tool. However, you may find a tool rental shop with the unit, so make a few calls. I ended up purchasing the too from a MATCO Tools distributor for $26.00. It worked and I'll probably never need it again, but $26.00 is much better the $100.00. After replacing the pump, replace everything else per the manual innstructions. The job goes rather quickly when you have the right tool. Hope this helps.

Well, after removing the door panel and disconnecting all of the necessary parts(please be careful in doing this, some of the parts will break quite easily), look toward the inside front of the door (near the hinged area) - there's a track located there that extends all the way up to the top of the door and this is probably the reason your window keeps coming off track( this was the case with mine) - There's a bolt that holds the track in place. Loosen it a little to get the window back into the track. Put the window back into the track but make sure that the rubber guide on the upper and lower part of the door remains around the windows edge, re-tighten the bolt and then reconnect the window controls to test it. It should flow up and down as if new. .

I've encountered this several times on kia products, The soultion is the headlight relay--not the control relays on the left of the steering column under the dash but the hihg voltage relay which ic only available from the kia dealer---yea , abummer but it's true ...

I don't have a durango, so I'm not an expert, but it probably has a sticker somewhere under the hood that shows you the correct routing of the belt. Other places to check is the cardboard thing the belt came in, and your owner's manual. If by some act of God, you still haven't found it, just buy a Haynes Repair Manual at your local auto parts store. They're relatively cheap, and full of usefull info, diagrams, and procedures reguarding just about everything on your vehicle.

On my 2000 Mountaineer, One side is accessibly from top. Other side, take off wheel. take off mud covers and access was easy. Not sure if this will be helpful on 97.

It is located on the engine block behind the right cylinder head. The electrical connector will be somewhat near the distributor. If you are replacing it, it will be much simpler if you remove the Passenger side front tire and also remove the plastic inner fenderwell, this will allow you a little more room to remove it as it is located in the bellhousing just behind the exaust manifold....... On the 4.7 it is located on the block

The power steering pressure switch is screwed into the pressure line on the back of the power steering pump. The oil pressure sensor on the 5.9 L V8 engine is to the right of the distributor (left as you are looking at the engine from the front of the car), on the top of the engine block towards the rear below the edge of the hood opening. You may need to use a light to find it, as it's behind the carburetor and tucked under the distributor wires.

I had the same issue of getting the right size so I called up a Dodge dealership. They said use a 7mm hex (or allen). Not a typical size, but you should be able to find it at a Sears in the wrench type or socket (which I prefer). It should only cost a couple of bucks, around $5 tops.

it should say in your owners manual. but i have a 5.4L and it takes 5 Q so im guessing yours would take maybe 6 Q but to be 100% positive look in your owners manual or call the dodge dealer ship and ask them

there will be roughly 4 screws on the dash, 2 by the guage window and 2 by the radio/ heat controls. after removing pop out the dash. you will have to lower the steering collum, after the dash is off you have 4 screws holding the stereo in place.

It should be located under the passenger sent on the second row. Lift up the handle for the folding seat to lift up and it should be there.
