On a 2000 Durango, the MAF sensor is known as an "ambient air temperature" sensor. Follow your air intake to the manifold. There could be multiple reasons for this problem. I would start with the simple one first changing the air filter and using a good fuel injector cleaner (I recommend Lucas) This will also improve your miles per gallon (MPG). The next step would be running a computer scan to verify that your car is properly tunned. A low transmission fluid could also be a factor as it gives your computer incorrect reading. Changing the transmission fluid & filter helped in my case.

you have to do it from the inside ...pull the light out careful not to break the tabs .after you pull the light out the cover will pull out at the center enough to get your arm back behind it reach down by the latch at push the white tab toward the latch ....once thats done it should open !!!

this is a 1998 Chevy blazer 4 by 4. recently as in yesterday my transmission fluid was drained and had new put in. it feels like its slipping now and won't go to overdrive and a hard time with first gear to. any answers out there?? i think maybe not enough replacement fluid being that it was fine beforehand.

You put in enough to get the level to the safe zone on the dipstick.

It's a real pain in the neck. You have to remove your timing belt cover, and fan belts just to get to the pump bolts. Once you get all of that off then you can get to the pump. You'll have to remove the pump pulley before you can remove it. I'd suggest you loosen the bolts holding the pulley on before you take anything else loose. Once you have them loose, you can proceed with taking the belts off and then all of the timing cover bolts and the harmonic balancer. Of course you know to drain the radiator before you start. The big bolt on the harmonic balancer is a 17mm in case you're wondering. That is if you have the 1.3 four cylinder. This is if you have the 1.0 three cylinder.

Unload alternator. Remove crank pulley from underneath. Remove timing belt cover. Remove timing belt. I've read that this is an interference design engine. Putting the timing belt on wrong could slam the valves into the pistons when you start it. This is a great time to replace the timing belt

Remove the lower rad hose and drain, the block itself has no supplied drain. You can also use the drain petcock on the radiator lower drivers side but it is prone to leaking after use.

I'm not sure what year Dodge started this , but we have a 2000 Durango and we were told they do not have greasible grease fittings they are sealed factory fittings ! Cannot be greased !
