How do you take out the stock radio in a 1998 dodge durango?

1. The trim bezel around the gauge cluster, A/C controls and radio is held into place with two 7mm or Phillips head screws that face down above the gauges.

2. Once those two screws are removed the rest of the bezel is held in place with pressure clips.

3. To make removal easier, lower the tilt on the steering wheel and pull the gear selector down to Low.

4. Using only your hands (prying with a tool will leave marks or dents), pull on the outside perimeter of the bezel until all of the clips are pulled out. I like to start around the air vents above the radio and work my way around counter clockwise.

5. Once the bezel is loose it can be removed completely and set aside.

6. The radio is held in place by two 10mm bolts, one on the upper right, one on the left bottom, remove these and the radio pulls right out.

How do you replace air filter for 2007 Durango?

Remove air hose on top of the black air filter cover.

Unsnap the three metal clasps holding air filter lid in place.

Unscrew the two bolts holding the air filer to the frame (13 mm socket).

There are two hinges in the lid of the air filter cover that slide into slots. The hinges / slots are on the side where the bolts to the frame are located.

Once bolts are removed, the unit will dip... allowing the cover to come off.

Remove air filter and replace with new one.

Reverse steps above.

We had to rebuild our engine last year because of engine faliure at 70000 miles and the oil pan was the hardest. The frame is in the way and you have to lift the engine to remove the pan. Does it just need a gasket or new pan?

AnswerThe 5.2 and 5.9 are the same.

Look on top of the intake manifold. It should be listed there. If not look in the owners manuel.

How do you get antifreeze out of your oil?

By repairing he problem, which is more than likely a blown head gasket. Do not drive this car as severe engine damage will occur. My two cents:

Note that other leaks can cause this problem. GM 3.1L and 3.4L SFI engines get this problem from a lower intake gasket. Chrysler OHC V6 Engines (chain timed) will do this if the water pump leaks.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1999 Dodge Durango 4x4?

The fuel filter is a part of the fuel pump assembly located in the gas tank. It cannot be cleaned or replaced by itself, you must replace the fuel pump. If your problem is hard starting, the fuel pump is probably not maintaining fuel pressure at the injector rail. check the pressure using the valve on the driver side rail when you've just shut the truck off and compare it after 1 hour. The fuel pump should maintain a good pressure. i think is's supposed to be around 48psi. There is a special guage to check the pressure available at your local auto parts store. If you have to replace the fuel pump, don't worry. It's pretty easy to drop the tank (it's plastic). The job takes about 45 minutes.

Will bad spark plugs make a 99' Durango die?

Wires would be more likely to be bad. there really isn't much to a plug to go wrong. Even with extreme fouling, enough should fire for it to run rough anyway.
