How many quarts of oil does a 2000 Toyota 4runner need?
Just brought my own 5 qt jug of Mobile Synthetic 10W30 (super cheap at Walmart) to the Toy dealership and it required just short of another qt of oil to fill.. I would recommend just under 6 qts of oil for the 3.4 V-6.
Most all vehicles need 5 quarts when completing an oil change. If there is any doubt then put in 3 and check the dip stick. Then add till it comes up to full. Then start the vehicle and get it to pressure allowing the oil to get into the cravities and oil filter. Turn it off and wait about a minute so the oil will settle. Check again and fill as necessary to the full line. Then double check how much you put in.
Why do your brake lights not work on a 2001 Dodge Durango?
There are a number of things to check:
If all brake lights are out, it is unlikely that all the bulbs would blow at same time but it is a good idea to check them.
If bulbs are fine, check the under the hood fuses (black box next to the battery). The 5th square fuse closest to the battery should be a 30A. This fuse supplies the power to the brake light switch. It's hard to tell whether this type of fuse is blown by looking at it so test it. You can get a cheap tester in packages of bus fuses.
If fuse is working then you need to test the brake light switch underneath the dash. If you follow the brake pedal up, you will see a wiring harness attached to the top. The pink wire with dk blue tracer is the one that supplies the power. Use a test light, if you push the probe into the harness beside the wire it should light up. If it does, test the white wire next to it, when you press on the brake pedal with the test light in the harness the test light should light up.
If this is your case you need to replace the brake light switch.
The part will run you about $15-$20 depending on where you get it.

Will a 2006 dodge 4.7 liter motor fit in a 2000 dodge durango?
yep but you need to take motor mounts and ecm and wiring
Wouldn't be your thermostat, its going to be the fan motor for your cooling system. Because the wind that hits the motor while driving cools the motor but when you come to a stop and idle there isn't anything to cool the motor
How do you replace the water pump on a 1997 Oldsmobile LSS?
in order to change water pump without taking out the engine you need to loosen the power steering and that will give you enough room to remove the water pump
Looks like this person above did not provide any steps or any help.
I have actually done this to my 1997 Oldsmobile LSS. After you have loosen the belt, and flushed out all the antifreeze, you'll need to remove the water pump pulley. Then unscrew the power steering pump to easily pull out the water pump. There are multiple screws that are different that will have to be taken out so be careful not to mix up and keep organized. Remember to remove any gasket pieces that are left over on the water pumps place.
After the removal process you'll have to replace the new one. Before applying, glue back the new gasket on the new water pump. (apply glue on the pumps edges, then place the gasket on top, then place another layer on the gasket). Once done, replace the pump back to its place. screw back some of the screws to support it. Now, screw the power steering pump, then screw on the remainder screws to the pump. Make sure its tight and the screws are screwed in right. You might need to replace the pumps original pulley (optional). But, I did. Before you add antifreeze, check and make sure all the hoses connected to the radiant does not have cuts or scratches, bulges, bents, and leaks (VERY IMPORTANT), if it does have all or any of those problems Replace every hose you see just to be on the safe side. Then you'll have to replace the thermostat cap with a new. (do that every time you replace the water pump). Now, screw in the pulley, and put on the belt, refill the antifreeze (check for any leaks), If there are no problems what so ever, you can finally start your car. Still check for any leaks need to check now that the car is on and running, if no problems occur. I have to tell you that you have successfully installed your new water pump.
If this has help you I greatly proud that I can assist you in any way.
Finally, the manufacturer recommends adding GM Part #3634621 Sealer with any complete coolant change. Other than this, the above is right on.

Check the headlight and clearance ground wires. There's a good possibility that the headlight and clearance light use the same ground wire. If the ground wires is not connecting properly it will feed back to the turn signal indicator
How much money does a thermostat cost for a 2000 Dodge Durango?
Most thermostats are $25 or less, probably closer to $15. If you're going to do it yourself, however, make sure you get a new thermostat housing gasket as well so that it won't leak when you put it back together. On that note, make sure you have a tube of RTV or whatever the recommended sealant is before you start so you aren't trapped needing to go on a parts run with an undriveable vehicle.

How do you replace the water pump on a 1992 Geo Storm?
This actually no easy task. First you need to jack up or place a wooden block under your oil pan - NOTE - First jack up your car a good distance. Insert a wooden block under your oil pan but make sure it does not touch the plug. The block should be large enough that it WONT fit under tha pan when the car is not jacked. Let the car down on the block until just a little bit of pressure is releaved from your motor mounts yes motor mount! Next you want to remove your motor mount on the left side (if you're in front of the car facing the car) where the tmiming belt cover and WATER pump are located. If the mount is hard to remove and fall down while you remove the bolts, lower the car some more to let the wood HOLD THE ENGINE. Removing the power steering pump is GREAT help, don't actually disconnect the hoses, just unbolt it and set it aside. Once the mount is taken off (left side only!) you can start to remove the timing belt cover and screws. Once the belt cover is of you can slip off the belt and you will deffinately see the water pump as it is the MIDDLE SPROCKET NEXT TO THE TENSIONER. From here out it's pretty straight forward. Just re-assamble everything in reverse order and you should be fine. Don't rotate the CAMSHAFT or DRIVESHAFT or you're going to deal with the timing and that's hard.
