Where is the Water Pump located and how do you replace it on a 1990 Chevy Corsica?

there is no timing belt on a 318cu it has gears and a chain for timimg

it is right above the fuse box on the drivers side kick panel. It is the one that has I believe four relays on a white plastic strip, should be third one from left. It is the only one of the relays that is not square. I believe it is half black half grey.

Was having the same problem. Guy at gurage said to use a oil flush to clean out the junk that build up in the engine. After the flush i had no build up for seversl years.

This happens because the pcv valve is lower than the top of the cap and the cap is ice cold, you will notice that you do not get the yellow sludge in the summer. what you need to do is either wrap the oil fil tube with insulation ( not too good of a fix) or the prefered way, drill and tap the oil cap with a 1/8 27 npt tapered thread and put a platic fitting with a quick release air disconnect into the hole. this can be purchased from home depot then disconnect the pcv valve air supply but leave the old valve in place to fill the hole. now run a 1/4 inch line from the fitting to an aftermarket pcv valve and reconnect to the vacuum line that was on the old valve. this will remove moisure from where it naturally occumulates (at the highest point.) this will also prolong your oil life and eventually your engine from pan sludge which causes oil pump failure. if you want some photos of the complete job e-mail me it is about a 10 minute job and costs about $2. you cant go wrong. wouldn't suggest an oil flush unless you have them regularly as this could loosen a lot of gunk which will only end up in your oil pan, and then recirculate back in your engine.

If it is the seal between the cover and the engine, drain the coolant, remove the hose from the housing on the engine cover, remove the screws/ bolts, scrape the old gasket, dry the area, apply rtv sealant to a new gasket and reassemble. If it is an o-ring leak, remove as specified, install new rings, and reinstall. If the pump is leaking, or the bearing is substantially worn, replace, and reassenble.

Replacing the water pump and replacing the timing belt are both part of the 60K maintenance.

From 1997-2003 the Dodge durango is the same chassis as the dodge dakota, same powertrain.

On the 3.6L bank one is the passenger side. On other engines it is driver side.

It means look at your gauges. Something is wrong! Does your temperature gauge show that it is overheating? Is the oil presure where it should be? Check your fluids.

As the own manual states, the license plate bulbs can be replaced by first removing the plastic lens/dome that is covering the bulb. Turn it 1/8 turn anti-clockwise to unlock it. Then the bulb can be pulled out (straight, no turns). Push in the new bulb, clean it to remove grease and acid, and put the lens back on. There are two such lights.

I own a 97 dodge ram 1500. My Haynes book says the code P0720 Output speed sensor is malfunctioning. My educated guess is it has to do with the cruise control. I will research further.

The 2005 Dodge factory amp can be located in the fuse box. The location of the amp can be found on the inside cover of the fuse box.

buy the Haynes or Chilton's repair manual. I bought to manual for my Dodge Ram 1500 it had part of them there.

If it is like a dodge van the clutch fan has a large nut on the back of it you need to trun it counter clockwise to remove it,it might have locktight on it so you will need to leave the belt on and apply preasure to it as you turn the nut and try some heat some times that will work,be carefull not to bend the fan they are balanced,a bent fan will wear out the new waterpump.

It should be in the fuse box in the 2000 models. On 2001 and newer, it is under the driver's side dash, just above the data link connector. For 2000 Durangos only: More correctly it is the square green relay looking unit located at the top and back side of the fuse box. IE it must be removed by reaching up to the top of the fuse panel from underneath the dash. Get a Toyota shop manual before you attack the dash. There are a number of screws and clips that are not obvious, and there is a good chance you will get frustrated and break something if you just go at it.

On the Sienna, I had to remove a good portion of the dash just to change light bulbs on the instrument cluster.

I have a shop manual, and the job went smoothly. But I would have not figured it out without the instructions.
