What does it mean if you have oil in your air filter?
Check the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve. Failure in the pcv ? Usually it's piston ring blow by caused by worn piston rings. Get a compression check. I'll bet this has at least 100K miles on it. Its called "blow-by" you need to replace the piston rings. Over time the rings and cylinders get wore out allowing oil to go past the oil compression ring. Also check to see if there are bubbles on the dipstick to your oil, thats an indication of bad rings too, its gas in your oil. Check if your PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is ok

How do you disarm the seat belt alarm in a 2008 dodge 1500?
if the ignition is cycled, driver's seat belt is unbuckled for
more than 10 seconds and the vehicle speed is greater
than 5 mph (8 km/h).
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be enabled
or disabled by your authorized dealer or by
following these steps:
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not recommend
deactivating the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert).
1. With all doors closed and the ignition switch in any
position except On or Start, buckle the driver's seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait
for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the
ON position, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver's
seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending
with the seat belt buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn on
while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt.
It may be necessary to retract the seat belt.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A
single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.
The Enhanced Warning System (BeltAlert) can be reactivated
by repeating this procedure.
NOTE: Although the Enhanced Warning System
(BeltAlert) has been deactivated, the Seat Belt Warning
Light will continue to illuminate while the driver's seat
belt remains unbuckled.
How do you remove the fan shroud on a dodge durango?
My vehicle is a 1999 Dodge Durango, I cannot speak for cetain on other models. To remove the fan shroud, you have to remove the fan and clutch at the same time. To get the fan off can be a pain. Disconnect your negative battery cable first. Look downward behind the fan and you'll see a large nut (about 1 7/16") attaching the fan clutch to the water pump pulley. You have to turn this bolt counter clockwise while keeping the water pump pulley from turning. There are 3 possible ways to do this.
1) Press down hard on the serpentine belt and hope it keeps the pulley from rotating with the nut.
2) Take of the serpentine belt and use a strap wrench to hold the pulley.
3) Make your own tool taking advantage of the holes drilled in the water pump pulley to hold it in place.
Once that nut is broken loose, DON'T REMOVE it yet. There are four bolts to remove on the fan shroud. Two on the top and two underneath. Take all four out, pop the shroud out from the radiator, and move it over the fan. Now take the fan clutch nut the rest of the way off and lift out the fan, clutch, and shroud together.
<< I had no luck with these options. I was able to get the fan clutch off using a 6" C-clamp on the water pump pulley and a 10" pipe wrench with the help of a cheater bar (metal pipe) for leverage on the pipe wrench. Crank the C-Clamp on as tight as possible on the water pump pulley but out of the way of the nut so you can lock the pipe wrench onto the nut. Use the pipe wrench and cheater bar to loosen the large fan nut. The pully (and C-clamp) will rotate initially until the C-clamp jams up against the engine block.

How do you remove dash faceplate in a 1998 Dodge Ram?
If it's anything like my 2000 quad cab it should snap off. The facing has plastic tabs that slip into metal clips. The clips poke through holes in the plastic dash. I found this out when all the plastic tabs eventually broke and the whole thing fell off. I found a replace at the junk yard, saved all the metal clips and popped everything back in place. Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel fiter located?
On a 1990 Bronco II it is located inside the left frame rail, about by the driver's side door. It is an in-line unit, about the size of a soup can, a little shorter.
First U have 2 make sure U have Vaccume @ the belt driven Vac.Pump, then U have 2 repair the Vac.Leak. Some Dodge truck have Vac.lines near the battery & Bat.Acid will make the Vac. line Brake. Some of the Vac.Hoses are in a plastic loom that keeps the hoses & wires 2gether.Loss Of Vac.2 the control is the problem.
I have a 2001 - my problem solution was the vacuum hose that is located right under the weatherstriping for the hood. Just about the center of the block, there is a rubber elbow that faces down and bends to the rear of the truck. The is a small vacuum line that is in a plastic wire loom that should be connected to this elbow. My hose fell out of the elbow and was against the firewall. I re-connected this hose and put a small zip-tie on it(to avoid the problem in the furture) and it now works perfectly! P.S. The 4 wheel drive will not engage the front tires with this hose off either. I found this out the hard way as I got my truck stuck on a slimmy boat ramp trying to pull out my boat!
Is speed sensor and abs sensor different on a 1999 dodge ram 1500 truck?
Answer Yes, they are totally different.
The speedometer signal comes from the rear axle abs sensor.
What makes a 1995 dodge ram 360 magnum motor lose power and sound like there is a vaucum leak?
Could be a restricted catalytic converter
A restricted cat would cause a loss of power but not the vacuum leak sound. I would look into the Idle Air Control Valve-IAC, battery voltage, and O2 Sensor. The IAC controls the amount of air bypassing the throttle body, though it is likely the IAC is not the real problem. A low battery voltage on starting can cause improper IAC calibration. A bad O2 sensor will also cause problems and turned out to be the problem on my truck.
