How do you turn up a dodge cummins 12 valve and specks on the injector pump?

1984 Dodge A-413 transmission. Can the differential bearing be changed without pulling the transmission?

No. The access cover for the differential is only an inch or two forward of the K-frame/firewall in most applications. In order to replace the bearings, the differential carrier must be removed from the transmission; there is not enough clearance to do so with the transmission mounted to the engine, assuming you could even get the differential cover plate off. You will have to remove the transmission. The best way is to support the engine with a jack under the oil pan, unbolt the transmission, unbolt and mark the torque converter with respect to its position on the flywheel, and then lower the transmission out of the bottom of the car using an engine hoist.

unless you drop the k frame, you will need to separate the lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends steering intermediate shaft and power steering hoses (if you only drop the frame down and don't completely remove it you wont need to touch the power steering hose) and the 4 bolts that hold the k frame to the unibody. anybody who has worked on a car before can probally do this. that should give lots of room to get at the diff.

What is the location of the transmission dipstick on a 1988 Dodge Aries?

On a manual there isn't one. You must pull out the plug at the side of the transmission and stick for instance for finger in the hole to see that it's filled up as much as possible.

On a automatic, there is a short stick on the front of the trans. near where the hoses hook on.

How many freeze plugs on a 5.9 liter Dodge engine 2000 Durango?

Core plugs, or freeze plugs, are actually the holes where the sand is drained out duringthe casting of the engine block. These holes also interconnect the passage of the coolant inside the block. It was called a freeze plug because it is supposed to protect the block from freezing damage, since water expands when it freezes. There are three plugs on each side of the block of the 5.9 liter Dodge engine. There are also two at the rear above the flywheel. And one each on the rear of theheads.

How do you boost the turbo on a 1985 Dodge Daytona Turbo?

there should be a ajusting sleve (looks like a nut) on the wastegate rod....the wastegate is the round deal on the turbo with a rod on it....and it has a vac line on it from the manifold....it controls how much and when the wastegate opens....and how much boost the turbo will produce....hope this helps....dave

go to the dodgegarage.com go to turbo database and look how to convert a t1 to t2 then go to a hardware or pet store and get a aqurieum bypass valve (metal no plastic will melt in heat of engine) hook it up in the vacum hose that goes to the wastegate (be sure to have a a/f gauge and 20 psi boost gage) close the valve completely and then start making little turns drive after each one till u here a knocking sound (detination) and your a/f gauge goes red during boost turn down till the knocking stops at full boost. i have a 88 dodge daytona that ran safely 16-17psi with out detinating. if you dont want to convert to t2 then due the same thing to your present car my 85 lancer t1 with ran at 14psi of boost. if u want to know more spoolinlancer85@aol.com

I had a really nice 1985 back in the late 80's and one day the rubber waste-gate control hose got a hole in it...wouldn't open the gate so it stayed tight shut and would peg the boost gauge! Full Boost and hold on...had so much fun I drove it that way for a few days but was careful not to give it full throttle with that much boost...didn't need to anyhow as just lightly pressing on the gas was equivalent to full throttle before!!!..Did replace the hose as I got nervous I was gonna pop the engine:) Indiana... What is the best after-market exhaust for dodge trucks with the Cummins engine?

Not to be short with this answer; they all are best over the stock system. I looked at all their spec. and dyno readings. They are all about the same & priced high. After all the looking around. I just built my own twin system. With a cummins & straight out the back it really sounds different than all the others.

How do you take fuel pump off dodge cummins 1992?

(1) For a fuel transfer or lift pump. The transfer pump is kind of like a 1970's gas engine fuel pump. This pump is located on the left side middle of engine. Disconnect the batterys (Both). Remove starter. Place a drain pan below the pump. Remove the both fuel lines. (May have to loosen other end of the steel lines). Remove two mounting bolts. Lower pump down. Take note: some Cummins engines have a spacer between the transfer pump & the engine block that requires two gaskets. Not to sound short for this part. (2) For an injection pump. There is a lot of timing issue here. Take it to a mechanic that you trust and is a cummins tech or get a factory manual (Dodge or Cummins)
