Where to buy a fuel pressure solenoid for a 19 96 eagle talon?
The Mitsubishi dealer will be the only place to get the right part. It will run about $80.00. Your local parts shops will try and convince you it doesn't have a solenoid and sell you a fuel pressure regulator instead. They are definitely different and if your CEL is indicating P1105, you definitely need a Fuel Pressure Solenoid. It is located on the drivers side firewall and has a vacuum hose connected to the fuel pressure regulator.

belt is stretched dose not take much to stretch only rubber and metal
also remember the pulley that takes up the tension is not on center the hole thats
in the pulley is eccentric -off center ..you must set it so its up the pulley so it holds the belt tighter hope you understand i took my belt off 6 times all ok remember the tension pulley is eccentric not on center............

I had the same issues with my 1995 eagle talon and if you have the battery unhooked, the car takes up to 40 or so miles for everything to reset, ie, air fuel mixture, computer, etc. It gets better the more miles you drive it after it has been unhooked. Also, I had issues with my o2 sensor going bad which caused some hesitation.

i have the same problem i think it has to do with a short between the fuse box and the before the plug because i pulled the plug that connects to the switch and the running lights stay on but the head lights turn off your best bet is to follow the wires from the box to the plug and make sure they aren't burnt or connecting to any other wire

if its doing it by itself, try replacing egr valves. the engine is adapting to how much fuel its receiving. if the engine revs very low gas it slightly for about 5-10 seconds and it shoudl stay level for a bit Answer It's the air idle control servo, not an egr valve, you can just take that off and plug the hole in the intake with a bolt and it won't do ne thing, but the air idle control servo is either bad or is dirty where it seats into the throttle body, it's a very common problem with the eclipse talon and laser, only other thing that could cause an idle surge is the tps or throttle position sensor, but if that was bad the car would be runnin bad, good luck and be careful about the answers you get from here cause I personally wouldn't use this forum for good answers, if you want real good info on your dsm, go to dsmtuners.com, you'll get trustworthy answers there

How do you change the trans fluid on a Manual 92 Talon?
It has a similar drain plug as the engine oil has. Just drive up a ramp, locate the drain plug on the tranny and remove. Will drain better if warm. Clean the plug and drain area. The fill plug is facing the front of the vehicle and the 80/90 weight gear oil will go in easier if you have a hose and fill from above.
The talon doesn't have a boost controller unless you install one. There are several ways to do so though. The best way is to go out and purchase an after market boost controller. It is also possible to get a valve, preferably a needle valve, and insert it into the the vacuum/pressure hose going into your blow off valve. Fine tuning it will restrict the pressure going to the BOV, and cause it to open up and release later and allow it to build up a higher amount of pressure. However, it is a bad idea to do this without first getting an accurate aftermarket boost gauge. Your factory gauge is not suitable for setting the boost in your car. If you put too much air into your car, it wont be able to supply the necessary fuel, and you could experience the whole "Fuel Cut" which feels like running into a brick wall. Other problems often caused by boosting your turbo pressures too high without the necessary upgrades are melted piston heads, and generally fried and blown engines. There is some room to increase the boost with everything else remaining factory, but not very much. i think it was something around up to 21 psi, as opposed to the 15 psi generally possible with the stock turbo and BOV. I stumbled on it while searching on how to modify the stock EBC. Contrary to the above, I know that the 2g talon does have a boost controller, and there are websites out there that tell you how to up the boost a couple PSI and no, you don't put it in the vacuum line of the BOV, because it is precisely for that purpose.. a vacuum line that when the BOV sees vacuum in the intake manifold, after the throttle is closed, it will open the BOV and allow the excess boost on the other side of the throttle body to escape. To find the boost controller, find your turbo wastegate (which is what actually controls boost), and follow the vacuum/boost hose back until you run into a little module that has another hose plumbed back into the intake hose. Everything else from the above post sounds good to me. Hope this helps, as I use to think the same as the above.....
Yes it is much more likely that the problem is with the speed sensor than the guage or the computer.
