With key on engine off it should be 23-31 psi

P0300 Diagnostic Code - Random Misfire

Symptoms.
Engine may stumble or miss
Engine may be hard to start
you may notice no issues

Cause
Failing spark plugs or spark plug wires
Bad coil or coil pack
Failing oxygen sensor(s)
Bad fuel injector or more than one
Stuck exhaust valve
Bad catalytic converter
EGR valve or valve passage clogging
Bad camshaft position sensor
Bad PCM or ECM

The Fix
Best first action is a tune up, new plugs, wires, inspect all hoses and wire connections then reset the code. If it returns you will need to narrow it down to a system, coils and coil packs should be tested, catalytic converters for function ( do you smell rotten eggs?). A misfire that jumps cylinders could indicate a lean condition, do you have any other codes along with the 300? this will help clue you in to the source, check valve function to make sure they are opening and closing fully.
This is probably pone of the most difficult codes to troubleshoot, so start with the basics and work your way into the more expensive options, in many cases a good old tune up solves the problem, back it up with a fuel system cleaning and see where you stand.

I believe you have to go in underneath the hood and unplug the headlight from behind, that's about all i know.

Yeah if you open up the hood there will be a plug that is in the back of the headlight. To remove it all you have to do is twist it to the right or left I'm not sure but it just pull right out after you do that.

1. The first thing that you need to do is to disconnect the two wires that are connected to the back of the alternator. 2. Loosen and remove the upper bolt for the adjustment on the alternator. 3. Loosen the lower alternator bolt so that you can take the belt off of the alternator. 4. Move alternator forward so that you can remove the belt. 5. Take the lower bolt out and remove alternator from below. 6. To reinstall repeat steps 1 throw 5 in reverse.

There are three sensors related to coolant temperature on ford aspire - one for dash gauge, another one for the radiator fan and the third one for the ECU.

The one which controls the fan is mounted on thermostat housing - so, it is the closes to where upper radiator hose meets the engine.

REMOVE CLIP TO SENSOR INSTALL SOCKET AND USE A BREAKER BAR TO LOOSEN ,ONCE OFF BUT A GENOROUS AMOUNT OF ANTI SIZE LUBRICANT ON TREADS THEN REINSTALL. TIP: OXYGEN SENSOR WHEN PURCHASING BUY UNIVERSAL IT HAS NO CONNECTOR DONT WORRY!! SOLDER THE TWO WIRES TOGETHER AND SAVE GREAT AMOUNT OF $$$$$$MONEY$$$$$$ BELIVE ME.

The 1995 Ford Aspire would have a rough idle cut off of power at high speeds due to mis firing. There is also a rev limiter to control how fast you can go.

Look on the end of the clutch cable, if you can't find it have someone push the clutch, theres a nut, 12 mm I think but mine turned by hand easy enough, unscrew to make the clutch engage closer to the floor. The exact spec has you measure the free play at the top of the pedal, I don't that info handy, you can do it by feel, trial and error.

I used a old time E-brake cable adjuster. Basically it connects to the cable on either side of a J type hook when you tighten the j-hook it pulls the slack out of the cable. Be careful not to tighten to much as the cable would break. Some cables are enclosed and this cable tensioner won't work, It worked on my aspire OK.
