Check the transfer case and the wheel hubs. Use any noises the jeep makes to locate your problem. Keep playing with it, most likely the t-case is out of alignment with the tranny. 87 Cherokees don't have locking hubs. A good place to look is the vacuum-diconnect on the front axle near the passenger side wheel. There will be several(plastic) vacuum lines connected to it that often break/split (especially with a 19 yr old vehicle) that also connect to the back of the transfer case. I don't remember exactly how to check it, but I think even the Haynes manual tells you how. First of all you need to buy yourself a shop manual for your car and it will give you a step by step instruction on how to change your fuel injectors. Chilton is pretty good... I'll give you a hint it requires removing you intake manifold to take out the back 3 injectors if your not up to that trouble i suggest take it to a professionals. That's all.

depends on what tranny you have ect. call ford dealer,auto parts, they give you information you need. 1989 302 aod trans, full change 12 quarts.

(Fuse # 23) is a 20 amp fuse for the data link connector and cigarette lighter in

a 1998 Ford E-150 van ( located in the fuse panel below and to the left of the

steering wheel by the brake pedal , there is a cover on the fuse panel )

If you have the Owner's Manual, you can find out what the GAWR rating is for your van by looking at the van's manufacturer's ID plate located on the inner side panel of the driver's side door. Look at the model number and cross reference the letters with the corresponding tables in the owner's manual. This will tell you how what is the maximum towing/loading capacity of your particular van.

My 1992 E150 has a 35 gallon tank so I'm guessing your E150 is the same even though it is only one year newer than mine.

Open up the gas tank and stick your hand in all the way and feel for a little knob. Open it up and then run a copper wire through the knob. Take out the copper wire and soak in bleach ( Great battery sustainer) and then pull all the way through the hole then close. If your engine doesnt have the knob you can drill a small hole in the corner and pour the bleach in there. The bleach acts as a contreceptive to the corrosive chemicals, thus helping your battery life. Hope this helps.

Did it fix your problem when you replaced the fuse? Or did the fuse blow agian. If the fuse blew right away it is a common problem to have a penny or a coin down in the bottom of your lighter and this will cause the fuse to blow. If you have repaired the fuse blowing problem and your instrument cluster is still acting up it is also common to have and instrument cluster failure or could maybe be a ground problem It sounds like it may be the Body control Module (BCM). I think BCM's need to be programmed, so check with a dealer or parts store for more info on that. Good luck.

If it is anything like my 99 f-150, then you might try pulling the stearing wheel and there is a part that looks similar to a spool of tape, it is actually a wiring assembly. On mine, the wire tape had got folded backwards and snsped in half. Just a suggestion, hope it helps

Possibly knocking valves, incorrect ignition timing, fuel injectors in need of cleaning or replacing, worn or improperly gapped spark plugs, worn or damaged ignition control module and/or ignition coils, vacuum leak from a hose. Before even going to a shop, try running your car on just premium fuel for the next couple of fill-ups and see if that doesn't help dramatically. You can also add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the gas tank, or an octane booster. If these options don't fix the problem, try checking the spark plugs and wires for wear and tear. If you're going to replace the plugs, I would go ahead and replace the wires as well, and vice versa...anything more serious than that would probably be best serviced by an experienced mechanic. you have a bad fuel pump

About 5 feet tall, 6 feet wide, 14 feet long. Big enough for 15 people.

The easiest way is to unhook the battery for a minute.

The fuel pump is at the top of the fuel tank. Tank must be lowered to gain access.

You should look at the brake lights first. If the brake light switch is adjusted to be too sensitive, the signal from the brake light switch will turn the cruise control off just by hitting a bump in the road. It could definitely be some other problem, but check that first since it's far more common than other problems.

pop the hood. when you are standing in front of the motor you will see the fuel line coming out of the carb. follow that down to the passenger side of the motor. there you will see the fuel pump. you may need to remove the smog pump, to get access to the fuel pump bolts. just remember to replace the fuel filter as well. best to be safe then sorry. also helps you to remember that you have replaced it. in case you haven't done that yet.

Can you open back seat and look fuel pump then replace fuel pump easy job. I did my car. Wendell
