Your question is not understood. Why on earth would you want to disable a safety device? And, why would Ford put a disabling switch on the dashboard. What do you REALLY want to accomplish here? And why? If you want to remove the passenger seat, and fix the safety restraint system properly, you will have to buy a new sensor. These are not cheap, but you can buy one that works only the driver's seat. If you are not removing the passenger's seat, I cannot imagine why you are asking this question.
Disabling the passenger airbag, could be needed if a carseat is placed in the passenger seat, there are alot of cargo vans, with only the 2 front seats. Everyone says that unplugging the harness under the seat will disable the passenger airbag, but this is not correct. It will disable both air bags. This is the inertia switch that controls both airbags.
The only proper way, which would be illegal, immoral, and not covered under warranty would be to find the seat pressure sensor that detects how much weight is in the seat, and overide it's signal to put a "no weight" signal out. The airbag on the passenger side, will only activate if there is "weight" in the seat. this saves the costly $$$$ repair if in a crash and the airbag deploys to an empty seat. However, there have been instances where, small objects have been able to trigger the sensor in the seat. (laptops, purses, boxes, etc).
So save face and find another vehicle if you need to put a carseat or small child in the passenger seat of a 2 seat newer van. Thanks Ford! Way to miss that one.
99 Honda Accord won't go into drive?
EX?, HX? LX? ES? Either way it is likely that the tranny is shot. Hondas have a good tranny design, but everything will break. HX trannys are VERY EXPENSIVE to fix. On my '98, the stoplight switch went out...twice...and that, or a blown STOP fuse (under hood fuse block) would keep the brake lights from working as well as the cruise and the auto tranny control wouldn't come out of park. Until I could fix it, I simply pulled up the plastic ring that covers the edge of the tranny control lever and pushed a key into the slot on the left side (toward the front) which would release the lever where I could then put it into drive or reverse.

Will changing dirty oil fix clacking valve noise?
Most likely not. I've heard of additives, or valve cleaning products to lessen the knock... but if its loose/broken rocker arms/lifters/valve springs/valve clearance problems then the only way is to actually replace/ recondition those parts. Thinking that the problem is gone after using those products could cost you in the long run or even worsen other parts in the engine.

How do you remove valve covers?
The toughest part of replacing valve cover gaskets is to clear a path to the valve covers proper. On engines with a lot of components, this can be a challenge. Remove the air filter and detach the spark plug wires (be sure to number the wires so you don't mix up the firing order). Remove any other parts (hoses, for example) that are in the way. It's also a good idea to disconnect the battery. Remove the bolts that hold the covers in place and lift the covers out. Cover exposed engine parts with a heavy cloth to keep dirt from falling into them. Use a putty knife to scrape off (carefully!) the old gaskets from the covers, and then clean the cover and engine surfaces thoroughly. Apply a gasket adhesive ONLY to the valve cover side of the gasket. Then re-install the covers, taking care not to overtighten the bolts. Gaskets range in cost from about $10 to $40, and the adhesive is about $2.

the unit of torque is NM.
Torque has dimensions of force times distance. Official SI literature suggests using the unit newton metre (N·m) or the unit joule per radian.[8] The unit newton metre is properly denoted N·m or N m.
Torque, moment or moment of force is the tendency of a force to rotate an object about an axis.
The magnitude of torque depends on three quantities: the force applied, the length of the lever arm[2] connecting the axis to the point of force application, and the angle between the force vector and the lever arm. In symbols:
whereτ is the torque vector and τ is the magnitude of the torque,r is the displacement vector (a vector from the point from which torque is measured to the point where force is applied), and r is the length (or magnitude) of the lever arm vector,F is the force vector, and F is the magnitude of the force,× denotes the cross product,θ is the angle between the force vector and the lever arm vector.
