The 2.0L engines do not have a map sensor. The ECU meters intake air through the mass air flow sensor to calculate how much fuel to inject.

The 1.8L engines should have a similar setup installed on them but I dont deal in those very often. Hope this helps.

KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM With the keyless entry keypad, you can: • lock or unlock the vehicle doors without using the key. Your vehicle has a factory set 5 digit code that operates the keyless entry system. You can also program your own 5 digit personal entry code. The factory-set code is located: • on the owner's wallet card in the glove compartment • or at your dealer. When pressing the controls on the keyless entry keypad, press the middle of the controls to ensure a good activation. This system will disable the power door lock controls. These will not work until the vehicle is disarmed. Programming your own personal entry code To program your own code: 5. Enter factory set code (keypad will illuminate when pressed). 6. Press 1/2 control within five seconds of step 1. 7. Enter your personal 5 digit code. Enter each digit within five seconds of previous one. 8. After the code is entered, the locks will cycle, confirming that the new code has been set. Do not set a code that includes five of the same number or presents them in sequential order. Thieves can easily figure out these types of codes. Your personal code does not replace the permanent code that the dealership gave you. You can use either code to unlock your vehicle. If a second personal code is entered, the module will erase the first personal code in favor of the new code. I know it's located under the drivers side next to the frame. But there are hose connection that I don't know how to remove. I would like an answer to how they come off.

The Ford 300 has a side cover for this purpose. It is hard to get at in a van.

stonemkr here and I would start by removing the inside door panel and get a visual. You could go online and get the specks for that model and electric scamatics ! Or yell at it and get it over with. Good Luck and patience is required here. Remove inside door panel and work lock while looking at mechanics of lock. Remember think safe!!

It's a latching push button switch. To operate this type of switch, you press the button, which then latches into place. To switch off, you press the button again, which returns to its home position. Just like the power switch on your TV or HI FI.

Straight pipes or some type of aftermarket exhaust will clear the emissions systems out and help the engine "breathe" better for better fuel economy. A K & N Cold Air Intake will help too. That also helps the engine breathe better. If you put these mods on a V10 your mileage would still be poor, but you'd get about 2 mpg better. Boosting the average V10 mileage of 11 mpg to 13 mpg. I used to have a 2001 F-350 V10. I got 11.5 mpg average with the truck stock. I used a K&N Cold Air Intake, True Dual Magnaflow Exhaust, and I SCT Tuned it and I achieved diesel-like power and got 14 mpg average. These V10s are reliable, powerful engines but the mileage is just extremely poor.

The kick plate is at your feet on the right side of the vehicle. You will need to take off the scuff guard, the flat horizontal piece on the right of seat on the floor. Just pry it off carefully. There are no screws. Then pull the door seal away from the lower front portion of the door and pull the plate out. Again, it has no screws so you will just carefully pry it out.

The answer depends on what your engine size is. I am almost certain that all diesel Excursion either came with the 7.3 Liter or the 6.0 Liter. According to my Chilton repair manual for all Ford Excursions on page 1-39, they say the capacity for the diesel engine is 15 quarts. Their disclaimer states "*All capacities are approximate. Add as necessary to bring to the appropriate level." In my "7.3 Liter Power Stroke Direct Injection Turbo Diesel - Owner's Supplement Guide" it also states that the engine oil capacity is 14.2 L (15.0 quarts) and that this includes 1.9 L (2 quarts) in engine oil filter. When I change the oil and oil filter every 5000 miles in my 7.3L engine, I usually put in about 14 quarts of oil and then "add as necessary" after I run the engine. If you have a 6.0L, a simple ratio equation indicates that you should use about 12.3 quarts of oil. So I would start with 11 quarts and "add as necessary". It is best not to overfill any fluids on a vehicle.
