Or less likely that you have 4-6 glow plugs that have opens and are not working.... start with the module or relay (depending on year) and go from their. Good luck.

Where is the block heater plug for 1997 F250?
Look behind the bumper, on the driver's side of center. It will be held up by a cable tie, if it's never been used before.
i dont know how they work, but i do know that why they would stop engaging is a few reasons,
1.not enough pressure from the slave
2.not enough lube for it to move ie. gears are frozen
3.water was gotten in and frozen the gears.
these are just a few of the problems the auto-locking hubs can have. would say put it on some jacks and see if it will enguage. as that is what i had to do to find out that mine didnt work. you can replace them with asini manual locking ones or warn manual locking or the superwinch ones. personally i like the superwinch, but many people will tell you asini is the only way to go, but good luck finding ones that are in decent shape to use and trust.

Where is the plug in for the electric brake controller for a 2000 Ford Excursion Limited?
Well...I have a 2002 Excursion and hopefully its at or near the same place. It took forever for me to find. I found it behind the heater/radio dash panel. It was clipped to the metal braket to the left, once you have the panel off, about the same height as the heater controls. Hope this helps.

Removing a Serpentine belt 2004 Chevrolet silverado?
first make sure you note how the belt is run so that you can replace it in the same manner. there may be a routing diagram somewhere either on the underside of the hood or on/near the radiator shrouding. make your own if not. next find the tensioner pulley--black, kind of round, with smooth running surface. stick the proper sized wrench into the center of the tensioner pulley and twist. this should allow you to loosen the belt enough to remove it from any one of the other pulleys.
Which fuse controls the cruise control on a 2000 ford excursion?
Why is there a yellowish colour on my oil cap?
A yellowish or off cream color is not uncommon. Combustion gases can combine with oil and create this often foamy or film type residue. Small amounts are nothing much to worry about but spoonfuls of it may be an indicator of excessive engine wear. The best prevention is regular oil and filter changes, 3000 or 3 months for heavy usage. Never more that 6000 mile or 6 months normal usage.

Is it hard to convert the front of a 2008 F350 ford to a 2000 Excursion?
Before you do a swap like this check your specs on the front end of your excursion with a true FORD HD truck shop mechanic. You will be pleasantly surprised to find out its true capacity is and what Ford used in the factory build. Sure you can swap any banjo if you have the time and money...and ability! My Excursion with the v10 has a HD rating on par with your needs of a 350, and can pull down a house and uproot an oak tree. I researched what platform Ford used and was amazed that its a true Heavy Duty Truck converted to haul a bunch of people while towing a houseboat! Think about suspension mods to the chassis like a lift kit with dual HD shock absorbers for more ground clearance, and bigger tires with HD rating's so weight is not an issue. The costs will be similar in the end if you di it yourself and you will have a cool looking truck to boot!
The Excursion is built on an F350 platform; however, with the added weight of the sheet metal it is rated as a 3/4 ton.
How to change glow plugs on a Ford powerstroke?
It not very hard at all. I just replaced mine in my 96 350. First you need to remove the valve covors (all metric) and then you will see all the valves and the top electrical part of the injectors. be careful when removing not to damage the gaskets b/c they are REUSEABLE, be carefull what you use to clean them with. you should have 2 electrical ports per gasket which go to the glow plugs and your injectors. next remove a black plug that has 1 wire going to it and under that will be the glow plug. just be easy loosening the glow plug not to twist it off, if you twist it off your screwed. I highly advise you to buy all of your parts from an international navistar dealer insted of ford. also if you have to replace one you might as well replace them all so your not doing it agin for a while. Does a 2003 f 350 diesel come with a block heater and where is it?
I understand that all of the 6.0's have them, the factory jsut doesn't provide the connection cord except in certain cold weather states. My 2006 (in NH) did not have one, can you believe that one, I raised Cain with the dealer and they provided the cable and installed it at no cost. The heater is located in the block near the freeze plugs top left hand side, looking at it from the front. Tough to find, I had to trace the cable back to locate mine.
On my 2000 F350 lariat 4x4 7.3 its behind the grille assembly near the bottom right of the grille (engine side/inner grille) Theres a 110 house hookup cord that extends outward of the grille to plugin to extension cord,....... hope that helps

At what Temperature does gasoline evaporate?
In theory, any liquid will evaporate to some extent at any normal Temperature. Evaporation rate for any fluid is, for all practical purposes, determined by only two factors ... the Vapor Pressure of the fluid at the ambient Temperature, and the Degree of Saturation of atmosphere into which it is evaporating.
In short, the Higher the Temperature of the Gasoline, the faster it will evaporate from an open container.
