to clean the heater core, which you have a 40/60 chance of it working, these are the steps : 1: undo the coolant lines coming from the heater core which will be connected to the heater control valve,undo them from the valve so that you can use the hoses for easy access to the heater core.2: take an air compressor with the blower attachment and put it into the inlet line and block the return line for moments at a time.3: pour rubbing alcohol with water into the inlet line and block off both lines for about 20 minutes.4:undo the blocked line and put a hosepipe into the inlet line and flush it till the return line looks clean. ive done this a million and 1 times and if the heater core can be cleaned this is the best way, josh

Have done similar procedure on 1999 Passat. Please verify that haze is on inside. Mine was actually on the outside of lense cover. I used a Maguires product called PlastiX to polish the haze off of outside of the lense. It takes a lot of work, but end result is clear lense cover. For the inside, you might be able to remove the lense assembly by removing the spring clips from the adjuster bolts that attach the lense assembly to the body. Similar to what you would do if you had to change the light bulb.

However the problem is back every day and now the rear interior light won't shut off. All the doors are shut and there is nothing blocking them. could be a number of things!! check that plug,wire,coil pack that fires that side of the plugs!! its prolley somethin stupid!! check em out!!

Check the water pump and the radiator. If the impeller on the water pump has worn it may not be able to pump water. The problem could also be a partially blocked radiator.

On top of engine you will see a black colored plate with KIA DOHC 16 V printed into it. This plate is secured by six (6) phillip head screws. Remove screws and lift off plate. You will see two (2) plug wires and two (2)ignitor blocks. Carefully remove plug wires as you would any other, Ignitor blocks are secured by two(2)screws. BE VERY CAREFULL removing wires and blocks as the sparkplugs are recessed about three (3) inches into the block. Use only NGK brand plugs as Autolite and champion will only work well for ashort period if at all. I know from experiance. It is recommended to replace plugwires every 30,000 miles when you change plugs. Plugwires from aKIA dealer will cost you about $20.00 each. Yes, power = voltage x current = 54 x 110 = 5940 watts. But the odd thing is the rated horsepower. I was taught that one horsepower = 746 watts, so 135 hp = 100,000 watts. Are you certain that the pump is rated at 136 horsepower? Or can anyone else address the discrepency? W=volts X amps; therefore W= (110)(54)

Follow the top rad hose down to the water outlet, remove the 2 bolts that hold the outlet down. Old coolant will drain. The stat is in the water outlet; look at how it sits in the outlet then remove it, clean old gasket, install stat same as old one was, install gasket with sealer, snug bolts EVENLY so as not to crack housing.Add coolant to rad, leave rad cap off for 20 minutes to bleed air out of system and top off. Take the battery out and find something to cut the old wires off and attach the new ones you will also need a crimping tool
