When you get a stain on clothing, don't let it sink in, start cleaning it right away: If it is an oily stain- a good way to get it off, is with dishwashing soap. (just apply a little of the soap and then scrub it in and rinse right away with water.) Other stains: Buy a good stain remover, spray it on to the stain and scrub it for a few minutes, afterards rinse it off with water. If the stain doesn't come off, try doing the above steps again. Note: Don't ever put garment into drier before the stain is completely off, once it went through the drier, it is almost impossible to get it off.

How do you remove and replace the keyed ignition switch on a 1985 Ford Ranger?
Here's hoping that you still have the proper key. With the key in the ignition slot turn to run position. 2. from the bottom of column(directly under switch) insert a drill bit/nail in hole provided. 3. push up with drill bit and pull out key switch. 4. slide replacement switch into hole completely. 5. return new switch to off position, all done (same instructions are found on new switch packaging) ***alternately, if key is lost you will probably need to drill it out(risky and time consuming) I had to do it this way, and then found the original key. I spent about 3 hours. a little at a time to prevent damage to rest of column. good luck.
Oh yeah, these crank sensors break off if you live in a rust-prone region such as NJ or the Midwest US. If this is likely to be a problem, follow this procedure:
1) Get a fire extinguisher handy. You shouldn't need it, but safety is a concern.
2) Unplug the crank sensor and get the wires away from the immediate area. Remove the bolt from the sensor.
3) Get a hot flame about 4 inches and bright blue ready. Hold it to the sensor for about 45 seconds. Remove the flame, the sensor should produce a small yellow flame. If the sensor is burning, blow it out and go to 4, otherwise heat it up some more.
4) Pull the sensor out. The outer layer of plastic is melted, allowing safe removal of the sensor.
AnswerCheck for failure of crank or cam sensor. If you haven't got access to a lab scope, just replace both. It's probably the crank sensor though. On some applications, removal of the cam sensor may require moving the upper intake. A new gasket should not be required, but check for vacuum leaks after you're done.

Does a 1997 Ford Ranger come with dual airbags?
The passenger side airbag has been available in Ford Rangers as an option since 1996. So it's a possibility.
There are 2 on the engine, there is one next to the thermostat housing that sends a signal to the engine computer that takes a 1 inch wrench and there is another one that sends the signal to the Dashboard gauge and is located on the rear of the engine on the passenger side of the vehicle and you need to take off the cabin engine housing to get to this, this takes a 11/16 wrench and has a push on plug, be sure to de-pressurize the system prior to taking off these units, a ground will send the gauge to the hot side and an open switch will keep it on the cool side, so test the wire to be sure the gauge works first.

Why is there no heat in a 98 ford econoline with the top hose hot and the bottom hose cold?
I assume you mean the bottom radiator hose which means the radiator is doing a good job in cooling the water. Most likely the thermostat is stuck open and the block temeperature is not getting up enought to give you "hot" water through the heater core. Now if you are talking about the heater hoses then there may be only a small flow because the heater water control valve is only partially open or clogged, Maybe the hose collasped or the heater core is clogged. Remove the hoses from the engine and check them and the heater core flow with your garden hose water pressure. First check to see if the heater core has been bypassed, usually done when a leaking core is present during the summer time. Then check for flow with water hose, if a coolant system stop leak was ever added to the cooling system the heater core is the first to get clogged ,due to the smaller ports. If all is ok there check to see if the air flow vane is being actuated to change the air flow from cold to hot. The vane is usually either vacuum or mechanically operated. On the vacuum style the hoses crack and sometimes the mechanical cables malfunction, either way the vane doesn't engage when the heat setting is applied to allow the air flow into the heater core housing/box.

Why does 94 ford ranger your engine have no power?
You might see if the throttle cable is loose, as they get stretched out rather severely over time. You can check by looking at your gas pedal, and lifting it up, if it can be lifted more than a quarter inch, then the cable is likely stretched out. The fix for this is simple and cheap, if it is a little inconvenient due to having to contort yourself with the driver's seat in the way. To fix the problem, you need to get 3-4 zip ties and look under the dash at the top of the gas pedal assembly, where the throttle cable comes through the top of the pedal, and then through a spring, you'll probably find that the cable is sticking out past the spring pretty considerably, what you want to do is hold the pedal up with something, and use zip ties to act as an extension of the spring. You don't want to push against the spring, and make the cable too tight or you might end up with a truck that would always have a partially open throttle. Once you've applied the zip ties, remove the block from under the pedal, and go for a drive.
