We are proud to be Indians. Apart from our culture, civilisation, brotherly attitude towards all religions, casts and communities, the most important binding factor is our National Tricolour which symbolises all that our society stands for. Even after 60 years of independence we celebrate the day with utmost serenity and commitment because we know the struggle and sacrifices our forefathers did to gain independence for our mother India. There may be minor lacuna's and deficiencies but I have no doubt in my mind that but for their struggle and sacrifices, we would not have reached where we are today. According to me, the message of our tricolour is to use our freedom for building friendly neighbourhood, providing care and comfort to the needy, using the national resource for the upliftment of the down trodden and above all to hold the values of our country at the highest peak of global tower. Maybe you could look up two monologues (I know, not a speech but listen to me) make sure they are contrasting. Then, tell your opinions about those two, making sure you dont make the audience think that you looked it up.

Well depending on where you live like if you live in Maine or not I think in many MAine book stores that i have been in like borders and such they have books on towns and areas I hope that answers your question

Depends who your audience is. If it's around middle school or highschool age, do something interesting that will keep your audiences attention. For example: A magic trick. Bake cookies. Pack a hiking backpack. Put on ski/hockey/football gear. Draw. How to tie a tie. How to sell something on ebay. How to jump a hurdle. Positions for dance/ballet. A card trick. A dance routine. Playing the drums/piano/guitar/violin etc. How to study for finals. How to make a demonstration speech. How to make a speech. How to survive teacher's lectures. Getting people's attention. Etc. You can pick anything and make it last up to 3-4 minutes, just by giving history, giving step by step, and explaining each step for a few seconds.
