No. A mercury tracer is similar to the ford escort and they have a different bolt pattern altogether than a focus. While they look very close, there is just enough difference that they will not fit. Mercury tracers have a 4x100mm bolt pattern and a ford focus has 4x108mm.

It is 1-3-4-2 and the dist turns counter clockwise and #1 is at the pass end of the engine. Good luck Joe

in the 1.9 liter engine it should be from 35-45 psi

The dash must be completely removed in order to gain access to the heater box. Then the heater hoses are disconnected and the heater box is removed and opened up. That gains access to the heater core for relacement.

There's little xmas tree plastic tabs that hold on the paneling along the bottom and up the top of the door. There's also two screws in the arm rest. If the tee's break (and some will) when you remove them, you can find them at auto parts places, no big deal. There's also a U setup holding the door around the window, lift up to pull it off.

First make sure it's getting power. Then i'd make sure it's in correctly and that it's engaging the gears in the engine. After that, it's possible the reason the first starter failed is that the engine is seized up.

look in the gas tank ;-) Specifically, I don't know. Generally, it will be under the dash, often combined with a fuse block that has relays on it; in the engine compartment also in a relay block that may be under a plastic cover; sometimes it is plugged into a pigtail on an electrical harness by itself under the dash or in the engine compartment. You will need the exact service manual for this location or someone who is familiar with your exact vehicle model. As you can see there is no set location by manufacturer or carline or model. My 93' Topaz had it attached behind the steering column with a plastic bolt of some sort. It required taking off the plastic panel below the steering wheel, then the metal one behind that. The metal one had 4 bolts, two plainly visible on the bottom, and two under cover plates on either side of the steering wheel. From there, the relay was quite a ways up and behind the wheel, and required breaking the afore-mentioned plastic bolt to get it loose.

No, there will not be engine noise, but you may notice a decrease in engine performance. The 1.9 liter engine is a freewheeling engine which is not damaged by incorrect camshaft timing or even by a broken timing belt.

A/C condenser drain line is stopped up. Clean it out. == addition to answer= I asked this question because water was leaking into my car, not out of it, when the AC was on. Many people said the drain tube was clogged. My husband finally found it located on the passenger side, in front of the firewall,directly behind the condenser. The tube itself sticks out only about 1/2 inch, he felt it rather than saw it. To clear it, he took a section of aquarium air line tubing, duct-taped it to the hose of a shop vac, stuck it into the AC drain tube & sucked out whatever was blocking it. The tube now drains freely.

Along both sides of the block below the head. Several in the head and two on the back of the block between the motor and the transmission.

On the 93 escort, brother to Tracer, there was only a breather valve at the top of the transmission and fluid needed to be added by removing an access bolt OR it had a small yellow dipstick at the top of the transmission.

The Mercury Tracer heater core can be found behind the passenger side kick plate. The heater core can be removed by disconnecting the water supply lines and removing the retaining bolts.

First guess would be low on refrigerant, causing the compressor to quit running after a short period. Could also be a buildup of pressure in the system, causing the system to shut down. Also possible that the fan clutch or some assembly on the compressor only works for a short period. . .

There is no ignition timing on the Tracer it is computer controlled. If you mean to ask how to time the engine when installing a timing belt, there is a pointer in one of the holes in the camshaft gear that should point to a dot in the cylinder head behind the gear (straight up). There is a small tab on the crankshaft gear when the pulley is removed that points straight up to a notch in ridge just above that gear.

buy a 3157LL bulb for $6 at any auto store. Unscrew the two screws on the inside panel beside the light cover. use a prybar on the outside lightcover to lift the cover off the car(it's a lot easier than it sounds). unplug the bulb from the casing and switch it out.

pretty easy .unplug the temp sensor remove the 2 bolts that hold the housing on which is located on the end of the top radiator hose. now you dont have to take the radiator hose off of the housing. the less crap you have to take off the better haha. now clean the houseing and the block of old gasket and grime . remove the thermostate out of the block. remember which way the thermostate is faceing put your new thermostat in and install new gasket and put the houseing back on . tighten the bolts. plug the temp sensor back in and fill it back up with coolant and your done

This is a job that can be messed up so I suggest you get a manual on your car from the parts store or from AUTOBOOKSONLINE.COM.

I may have missed it, but I couldn't find anything that new on autobooksonline.com. Most of the material I saw was for really old cars.

Was the blower motor defective, or where you just guessing. Did you apply 12 volts to the old motor to see if it was bad? Did you check the Fuse. It may be a defective blower motor resistor pack which is a common problem on this car.
