It depends on what you trying to do. If disconnect battery and reconnect it the immobilizer activates automatically. So you will not be able to start the car with key with chip.

3 places idle is controlled on 94 Eclipse GS:

Fast idle (when cold) is controlled by a passage built into the throttle body (at the bottom). As the engine heats up, warm coolant moves a diaphragm and the fast idle returns to normal idle slowly.

Regular idle: Is computer controlled. An "IAC" motor located also at the bottom of the throttle body is controlled by the engine computer to set the idle. These often fail. When they do, they sometimes damage the control circuits in the computer. If you replace the IAC and the computer still cannot control the idle, this may be the case.

Base idle: Normally you dont mess with this! But if your IAC fails and you need to limp it around for a while without a new IAC, the base idle can be turned up. Technically, this can cause the car to fail emissions. Base idle screw is under the little black cap (if still there) at the top of the throttle body looking at you if you are staring at the engine. Its right out in the open at the very top. Turn counterclockwise to raise the idle. Go in 1/4 to 1/2 turn increments.

If you are going more than 2 turns, something else is wrong.

You can disconnect the battery although this is not recommended. You can also use a code reader to read and reset the codes. If you fix the issue, it should reset by itself.

There are large plastic panels that form the sides of the rear seat passenger area. Take those off by pulling the "pins" from the top. There is a screw holding the bottom down under the rear seat, which comes off by pushing the lower front of the seat backwards about 1". You'll feel a black clip where you should push - located where the back of the shins of a seated passenger would be. You will probably need to replace the "pins", as they don't seem to last long. Once the plastic panel is off, unscrew the speakers themselves, rather than the larger black metal "bass box" they are housed in. Disconnect the two wires when they are a few inches free of the box.

Radio codes are all different. Go to the dealer and give them your VIN#, they will get you the f*** with your mama

the covers do not pop off. you have to take off the entire side panel. im not sure but they are probobly 6 x9's.

the listed horsepower is 210bhp, this is an average number based on the engine, with a +/- 2% variance.

Bumper cap? ...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle(parts store or dealer), and a local library should have professional shop manuals available in the REFERENCE section for free...make copies of the appropriate sections...read up and good luck :)

I very doubt it. If I am not mistaken GSX has all wheel drive system and turbo charged engine. Any of those make it incompatible with any other transmission.

on mine you use the preset buttons to type in the code.... others you use the seek and scan buttons.... once the code is entered you press the tape or CD button

Still need this answer? I have a 97 eclipse turbo and the original owners manual - it's part of the CD player controls but i don't feel like going outside (cold) to get the manual unless u still need the answer. I had this problem a few times myself after having the dealer work on my car.

The VSS is above the rear differential, mounted on the bottom of the truck bed, very simple to install, its about $30 at autozone.

I'm pretty sure all u have to do is turn the wheele in the direction it is looked in and then turn the key. With most cars the wheele is putting too much presure on the lock to allow it to spring free.

pull your negative cable off for 15 min to reset your ecu. that might work

Even so eclipse uses distributor based ignition system, I'm not sure that you can adjust timing. The timing you can adjust is idle timing. But it basically never needs to be adjusted.

It should be behind the front bumper, in the front part of front left bumper.

You need to call a your dealership. They will ask you for the serial number off the top of the stereo unit. To get to the serial number - First remove the consul by removing the two screws located underneath the radio. Just go to the edges of the radio and follow it down going underneath the dash. You will need a small Philips head as there isn't much clearance especially on the left side. You can then pull away the plastic exposing the radio itself. The serial number is on the top edge of the stereo on the left hand side.

Well, you've got a leak somewhere. It can be a bad heater core, a bad windscreen seal, something wrong with the intake plenum for the passenger compartment fan or some other leak. A heater core leak should show up as dropping coolant levels, so unless you've got that it has to come from outside. My suggestion is - once it's dry, get in the can and have a friend hose it down with you in it. It'd give you a chance to spot where the water is coming from.

Yes, the same harness was used in the non turbo as well as the turbo, Unless you have the 1.8 liter or the 420a engine.

yes but it is expensive and time consuming as you need MUCH more than just the turbocharger... it would be easier and cheaper to find a used fwd ot awd turbo eclipse,talon, or laser. the parts needed would be a 1g or 2g exhaust manifold,14b or 16g td05 turbo, 91-94 turbo ecu, 450cc "blue top" fuel injectors, 1g turbo intake manifold, 1g turbo throttle body, 1g fuel rail, 1g turbo gauge cluster, a new exhaust system from the turbo back, new pistons and rods (non turbo pistons will hold aprox 3lbs of boost due to compression ratios and piston shape... 2g pistons on 1g "big" rods work nice) complete intercooler piping with compressor bypass valve, after market clutch such as the act 2600, and a whole bunch of odds and ends i will not mention. it is a labor intensive job (i did it with a 92 eagle talon) but i had a another dsm (91 Plymouth laser rs turbo) that was wrecked in rear. it took me and 3 friends a little over 6 months to complete on weekends and our spare time. i ended up selling it and getting a 1990 talon tsi awd. so like i said it is possible, but it depends on how much work you want to put in it.

Im running 20 psi on an NA motor, its possible ya just gotta watch knock like a hawk
