On the cam gear sprockets you will see a Factory notch cut out in the grove in the side of the tooth. Also if you are looking straight at the sprockets there will be letters on the left side of each sprocket if you start with the exhaust sprocket then you will see 2.0L or 2.4 L on the right side of sprocket it will say numbers example 609. on the back of sprocket on a 2.0 it will have an arrow that says Up that has to be up.

there is one under the hood on the right side towrds the front..in front of the computer and the other is under the dash on the driver side...its on the side and theres a plastic panal u have to take off

take the car to a mechanic you dont want to tackle the clutch on an eclipse it totally sucks. you will definitely save yourself time money and headaches by just going to a mechanic

You need to go to a parts store and buy a repair manual for your car, it would have the diagram well picture to know you what you need to know. I like Haynes repair manuals in that they are easier to understand but Chilton is just as good. Oh if you can not find a repair manual then try your library they also carry repair manuals for cars and then you could find what you need there. If your car has two belts, then the power steering belt and the air conditioner is on the same belt. Then the other belt the drive one, runs the engine, water pump and powers the power steering and air conditioner too. But a picture would help you understand that better so the repair manual.

why don't you know what you're talking about next time before you give someone bad advice. any eclipse 95+ has 4 belts, timing,balance shaft, power steering, and serpentine. Besides the serpentine belt each one only does 1 thing the p/s belt just runs the p/s pump, the balance shaft spins the balance shafts in opposite directions, the timing belt keeps time and the serpentine runs the altenator,water pump, and a/c if you have it.

Depends on the problem. If their attitude is interferring with business and they are creating a hostile work environment, then they have to go. Just because they choose to be sour about something doesnt mean everyone has to come to work and walk on eggshells, you have to think collectively. If they are having issues with arriving on time, sicktime, etc, well, they sign an agreement knowing full well that they had a certain time to arrive and what they get as time off, so address the issue with paper in hand and give them two weeks to get back on track, write them up in a warning and state if it happens again, then they will be terminated. I always thought an open forum for discussion was a good idea, when you have quite a few employees, you also can take a anonymis poll and see what issues they have, to get them thinking of solutions to their own problems and when you instill those solutions and they still dont like the environment, they have only one place to look. The strong arm tactic never works because you create anamosity. Alot of the time subordinates just want to know that there voice is heard and dont want to feel less then. I know there is a pecking order, but you do get more with honey then vinegar.....Good luck.

You can find the starter relay switch in your 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse in the fuse box. The starter relay switch will be in the third column, at the top.

The plug hole is near the right belt tensioner just to the outside along the edge of the engine block where the crankshaft position sensor electrical wiring enter the front casing or near where the a/c belt pulley bolts up to the engine block.

The fuel pump relay is located under the hood next to the brake booster there should be 3 black relays switches the 1 closest to the brake fluid reservoir

Discon nect battery positive terminal for at least 30 mins then reconnect.

there are timing marks on the pullies that need to be lined up. also notches on the cam gears. once they are lined up and the #1 cylinder is at top dead center. you put the belt on and release the tensioner.

follow the positive wire of the battery and it will lead to the starter becareful not to touch it because it will shock you

Fast idle (when cold) is controlled by a passage built into the throttle body (at the bottom). As the engine heats up, warm coolant moves a diaphragm and the fast idle returns to normal idle slowly.

Regular idle: Is computer controlled. An "IAC" motor located also at the bottom of the throttle body is controlled by the engine computer to set the idle. These often fail. When they do, they sometimes damage the control circuits in the computer. If you replace the IAC and the computer still cannot control the idle, this may be the case.

Base idle: Normally you dont mess with this! But if your IAC fails and you need to limp it around for a while without a new IAC, the base idle can be turned up. Technically, this can cause the car to fail emissions. Base idle screw is under the little black cap (if still there) at the top of the throttle body looking at you if you are staring at the engine. Its right out in the open at the very top. Turn counterclockwise to raise the idle. Go in 1/4 to 1/2 turn increments.

If you are going more than 2 turns, something else is wrong.

It depends on what you trying to do. If disconnect battery and reconnect it the immobilizer activates automatically. So you will not be able to start the car with key with chip.
