Usually these are symptoms of a blown Head Gasket or a critical seal beteen the coolant channels in the engine and the cylinders. What the white smoke means is that water has gotten into a cylinder and is being turned to steam as the piston fires. Whoever did the work probably did not reseal the system correctly and you have water or coolant in the cylinders. If you get enough water into the cylinders the engine cannot start because the cylinders cannot fire properly. I hope this answers your question sufficiently. ----
Why would gas come out of the exhaust pipe?
Don't want to doubt you, but I'd definitely check to make sure it feels lightly oily or even soak some a few drops into a paper towel and see if it ignited (careful of course). Assume it's not running rough / missing occasional firings, right?
This can also be caused by a defective fuel pressure regulator. (Ford Ranger)
Usually less than 9 months. Depending on the environment & driving conditions.
them darn confounded contraptions are on every vehicle ive ever done bought. I just end up cuttin them off anyway, so i can have buddy hang out the window listenin to her purr when i rev up the gas peddle when we are out loggin with my 10 inch bar electric chain saw. and after a long days work of cuttin down a few twigs to fill a picnic basket we go in to the mill to cash it in for about 60000

How much to replace muffler with hole?
I paid a total of 580 Canadian dollars. They had to do some complicated cutting and installing when attaching the muffler. The muffler cost just over 300, but tax, labor and an extra part really killed my wallet. A muffler with a hole in it will usually cost you lots in gas and you can fail your emissions test. An awful expense when it comes to older cars.
What would cause backfire and exhaust smoke?
It could be timing is off. Need more info. Is it Fuel injected or Carburated? Exhaust smoke? Is it black? Black indicates alot of carbon built up. May mean the fuel is burning way to rich.
The question could be improved to read: "Why does steam come out of the exhaust when I first start my vehicle?" Answer: condensation. When you shut-off your engine and the the exhaust pipes cool down, water will condense on the interior surfaces of the pipes from the warm air in the exhaust pipes. This water pools there until the engine starts up again. Then, it starts to evaporate and exits the tailpipe as steam. After all the liquid water evaporates and the exhaust pipes get too hot for water to remain on their surfaces, the visible steam will cease to emerge from the tailpipe. So, no; it is most likely not from a blown head gasket or a crack in the engine. If you are not losing coolant then all is well, drive happy
Is dIEsel exhaust fluid dangerous?
It's not classed as any sort of hazmat, although you want to make sure not to ingest it or get it into your eyes. Used properly, it won't be harmful to any vehicle systems.

What exhaust is the loudest on a 2001 mustang gt?
GrannyMaster's Super 80 series has a nice hum.
The best exhaust that i know of that is H-pipe. I have it on my 2000 gt. It is seriously loud. My friend has a 5.0L mustang cobras with straight pipe and it's not even close to as loud as the H-pipe on my 4.6L gt. Roush has a kit, which is what i have, but that'll cost a $1000 for the PARTS ONLY. I would highly recommend this kit, even on a stock gt it sounds absolutely amazing.
What could cause the engine light to come on in a Vauxhall Cavilier?
Hi,if you trawl through the other posts you will find many questions similar to yours. The engine icon is for "engine electronics",it means there is a fault or fault with a sensor, that is monitoring your systems.I maintain that the cheapest cure is to run the vehicle to a garage, not necessarily vauxhall,as long as they have the diagnostic kit.Phone up and ask.I use a local private garage. Most times it is a sensor problem rather than a component. For instance,my daughter's corsa started throwing in large amounts of petrol, making black smoke and choking to a stop at junctions.I guessed it was the coolant sensor but still had it confirmed on the computer. The sensor was telling the ECU that the engine was cold so it put in the extra fuel.
What causes White smoke from oil cap?
This is most likely a severe failure somewhere internally in the engine that resulted in coolant in the oil. different root causes are probable. oil should be checked regulary (do a oil sampling) after it has been replaced.
Why would smoke be coming out of the tailpipe?
Smoke is a sign that something is wrong. Blueish smoke indicates its burning oil somehow. White smoke indicates its burning antifreeze, which is very bad on oxygen sensors. Black smokes indicates too much fuel is being put into the engine. Have it checked out by a good, knowlegeable mechanic you feel comfortable talking to. It needs to be checked out before you have major problems.
What would cause muffler to get red hot on john deere lx173?
A muffler on a John Deere LX173 can get red hot due to several reasons, including a blocked exhaust system, which restricts airflow, or a lean fuel mixture that causes higher combustion temperatures. Additionally, burning oil due to engine wear or a malfunctioning carburetor can contribute to excessive heat. If the engine is working harder than normal, it can also lead to overheating of the muffler. Regular maintenance and inspections can help prevent these issues.
Is room temperature reduce with exhaust fan?
Yes, using an exhaust fan can help reduce room temperature. By expelling warm air from the room, the exhaust fan creates a lower pressure that allows cooler air to enter, thereby promoting ventilation. This process can be especially effective in warmer conditions or in spaces with high humidity, as it helps improve overall air circulation and comfort. However, the extent of temperature reduction may vary based on outside conditions and the size of the room.
