From viewing a similar answer for a '95, and upon personal inspection, it appears to be behind and above the drivers side fuse panel. If you remove the black panel below the steering column, I think that you will see the socket assembly for it behind the left side of the instrument panel. Perhaps more later as I conclude this myself.
Where is the coolant bleeder screw located on 94 Oldsmobile Achieva QUAD 4?
I cant think of any cars that are built with coolant system bleeder screws. However the drain petcock is normally located on the passenger side bottom of the radiator usually on the fan side. I have never needed to bleed or burp a coolant system, the top of the radiator is always the highest part of the system and the air will naturally find its way there, I always fill the last bit slowly and gently squeeze the upper rad hose to help the bubbles find their way up.
How do you replace the old serpentine belt on a 1996 Olds Achieva?
There is a tension pulley located on the left side and down about half way down with a arm attached to it, you have to pull the tension arm up to release the belt. actually on the 96 model it not that simple just to change the serpentine belt you have to disconnect MOTOR MOUNT before you can remove belt i know that sound crazy but i have a 96 acheiva sc v6 that i change belt on not pretty!
my brother and I used a hole saw and drilled thru the wheelwell. He had to heat the bolts with a mapp gas torch. But it worked. john

I have the same problem. I have noticed the oil guage sticks at 40psi even after overnight. I dont know why this is but it may be related. I am trying another sending unit tonight. I'll let you know how things work. OK I had this problem to it's a plug in the dathbord just live with it. I fixed mine but not worth the truble.

I have the same problem with my Acheiva as well. It seems that the condensor for the ac has a shield that tends to rub against the pulley where it runs along the belt.

No, a bad fuse will not cause a malfunction. O2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. there may be more than one. Any auto parts store can provide this info.

i have a 93 and mine was comming on too and it was the two wire on the plug that went in to the wheel sensor they broke off on the front right wheel. your break work fine just wont have the abs to pump your break on wet or snow surface.
if it keeps blowing fuses, look for a bare wire going into the fuse panel or a bad ground wire. There is a direct current all the time to keep blowing the fuse.

To my knowledge, Oldmobile did not make a stock 3.4 liter engine. I'm guessing this question is about the 3.1 liter V6 engine. On the 3.1 Liter V6, finding the thermostat housing is simple. While standing at the front of the vehicle, look to the right side of the radiator to find a large hose connected to the radiator. It will lead you to the thermostat housing. The thermostat is located inside the metal pipe at the other end of the hose. Exact mounting details vary with model year. Generally, there are two bolts, one above and one below the housing that must be removed to access the thermostat. The heat shield for the exhaust crossover pipe partially blocks access to the bolt heads, so some tricky tools are needed to remove it. On mine, I removed the EGR sensor and heat shield so I could access the bolt heads. Once removed, the thermostat is very simple to replace.

Several possibilities, (I am assuming there is air actually blowing, but it is cold), your not getting circulation through the heater core, coolant level is too low. i had the same prob my front defrost would not work what i found is that it was a small plastic tube that runs the side of the motor that is connected to the vacume. those plastic tubes get very brittle and break easy, once i fixed that tube my defrost worked

I am about to attempt this same procedure on my 97 also, according to the Haynes Manual, theres a screw on the parking brake handle that you have to remove, and one on the shifter also, after that its just a bunch of plastic fastners. once you remove the console and the floor panels, its supposedly just held in by 2 clips.

If it is just water and not coolant, then more than likely the A/C drain line is plugged. Crawl under the car, passenger side, and find the drain line near the firewall and unclog it. If it is coolant then your heater core is leaking and needs replacing. Test the water and if it smells or taste sweet it is coolant.
