I have not changed one on an Aurora, however, I have changed other types and they all seem similar. Usually getting at them is the hard part. You will remove 2-3 bolts, 1-2 vaccum lines,sometimes a metal tube, clean off the old gasket and reverse the procedure.Before I would replace one, I would spray(soak) it with 'DEEPCREEP' made by the SEA FOAM company. Most EGR valves stick because of carbon build-up and this product will dissolve carbon. It may require a couple appications. I hope this helps you. Mark

in one of the fuse panels either under the hood in the panel on the dash right by the drivers door or under the rear seat next to the battery in one of the 2 black boxes just pull up on the front of the back seat to remove it

Most likely it is either 185 or 195 degrees Fahrenheit. This may vary with engine options.

The on/off lead is a light pink on the first harness on the Bose amplifier (bigger clip). Keep in mind this is the 8 speaker premium sound package but im sure the 6 speaker package is also the same. The amplifier is located on the back wall in the trunk on the left side, just remove the plastic cover!

remove the up down window switch the door panel.IT has clips that pull out, but you will have two in the center, pull the bottom open and use a long pull bar to unclip the center

THE STARTER FOR THE 2000 INTRIGUE IS LOCATED ON THE FRONT BANK OF THE MOTOR. LAY DOWN IN FRONT OF THE CAR AND LOOK TOWARDS THE FRONT BANK AND YOU'LL SEE IT. The starter on 3.5L engines is on the backside of the engine block slightly towards the drivers side. I just changed the starter on my 2000, 3.5L, V6, Oldsmobile Intrigue. I think both answers 1 & 2 are trying to say the same thing. I was confused by their use of "Front Bank" and "Backside" of the engine. Follow Answer 1: lay down (on your back) in front of the car, start wiggling under the car, go under the radiator, a few inches later you should go under the starter (slightly on the drivers side as stated in Answer 2), if you kept going you would go under the engine. Bottom line, it is on the side of the engine that is closest to the radiator, not the side closest to the interior of the car. The starter is held on with 2 bolts. I needed a 12 inch socket extender to get to them (actually two 6 extenders together). All in all not a bad job.

Your Aurora has 2 Crankshaft positioning sensors.

I just replaced both of the CPS on my 2003 Aurora on 6/2/2012. They are located under the car, near the oil filter. If you raise the car, laying down looking up at the oil filter- The sensors will be to the left of it. To me, this was not an easy fix. The hardest part was getting the connectors off. I took off the oil pressure sensor, to allow more space to work. The sensors are held in by one #10 socket.

If those sensor were located right under the hood.. this would be a 5 minute job. Its the location of the sensors that's a pain in the a$$.

Could be hydraulic shock (water hammer)

On my 1998 Aurora with 4.0L v8, the air intake temperature sensor is located on the air filter housing on the driver's side of engine compartment.

The bearings are an integrel part of each wheel hub. You are looking at big bucks to put in new ones. The brake sensors are also part of the hub; when the sensor fails you must replace the hub and bearing too.

This light is trying to tell you your oil may be low before it does damage to the engine. Please check your oil level and add if it needs it.

Bad traction control module--bad wiring at the module or a bad pin on the module control connector. Also you might try this remove the traction control module connector and reseat it . It may take 2 or three times of doing this but it worked on mine . Question --does your battery light stay on ?? and then after a few seconds goe off?? if so then definitely try this. I spent over a thousand dollars trying to fix mine before I reseated the connector .

Depends, the 'low pressure' side is the side generally serviceable with a can of R134A you can buy at your local auto parts store. This side generally runs between 35-55 PSI, give or take, depending on ambient air temperature, elevation, etc. The high pressure side is generally not serviceable by the average consumer. if you're faced with a leaking line, take it to a pro who has the equipment to capture any refrigerant that needs to be released from the system. mother earth thanks you.

REPLACE THE OUTSIDE SENSOR.THE OUTSIDE TEMP. SHOULD SHOW ALL THE TIME,INSIDE ONLY WHEN INSIDE CONTROLE IS MOVED..........

It is on the passenger side, right above the headlight.

There should be a diagram of the belt's routing somewhere under the hood. There is on my Aurora.

You don't. The only place you pour coolant into this car is into the reservoir, and the piping to the radiator will be sealed by radiator sealant as it's a pretty small diameter tubing - much of the coolant system on this car is pretty small as the engine is small.

Smaller cars are a lot less tolerant of these types of fixes, you'll be lucky if you don't mess up your water pump, radiator, hoses, etc. If it were me, I'd replace the radiator and skip a possibly far more expensive repair.
