Does fascism allow private business?

Fascist States, of which Nazi Germany was a subset, are states built on a strong traditional, militaristic, and corporatist outlook. In terms of Corporatism, Fascists allow businesses to function as independently-owned monopolies, whose monopoly is protected by the state in exchange for permitting government direction. So, while privately-owned businesses are permitted, extensive government regulation and commandeering does occur in fascist states.

The abridgment of citizens freedom to worship or not to worship as they please is prohibited by the?

The Free Exercise Clause

The free exercise clause is also controversial because sometimes religions forbid actions that society thinks are necessary or require actions that society finds disruptive. The Supreme Court has consistently maintained that people have the right to believe what they want, but are more cautious about the right to practice a belief. The Supreme Court has never permitted religious freedom to be an excuse for any behavior. The Court has held that religious freedom takes precedence over compulsory education laws.

What does liberalism and utilitarianism have in common?

Utilitarianism is, according to Wikipedia, a theory in normative ethics that holds that the proper course of action are things that increase utility, usually defined as maximizing happiness and reducing suffering. Usually, Conservatism sees the responsibility of such things as belonging to the individual, while Liberalism sees that responsibility as falling on society.

By extension, utility would be based on what is necessary based on the above framework rather than based on ideals. Conservatism is more focused on ideals, whereas liberalism seems more focused on the challenges of life.

Classical utilitarianism is essentially hedonism. Modern utilitarianism is a form a consequentialism. Consequentialism holds that the consequences of one's conduct are the ultimate basis for any judgment about the rightness of that conduct. That fits with the notion many have of liberalism that if something feels right, you should do it.

How may states would go republican if there was a tie?

It entirely depends on which states went Republican. Not all states have equal numbers of electors since they have different populations. For example, Alaska (the smallest state in population) has 3 electors, whereas California (the largest state in population) has more than 50. However, you can add it up to get 269 electoral votes, that is how many states you would need.

How old is communism?

The creators of communism were not Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. They were both born in Prussia. I do not know so much about Engels but I do know much about Marx. Karl Marx first thought of Communist views in the 1840's. Now basically he bealived that the working class deserved much more then what they recieved. The word "Marxist" or "Marxism" comes from his views. Marx died in the 1880's in his 70's I bealive, and Engels died in the 1890's in his 70's. They both are known as the "Fathers of Communism", more Karl then Friedrich. There views did not die, for the super power of the USSR came after the Russian Revolution of 1917, with the leader of Vladimir Lenin. There are many different forms of Communism but most people here in North America think of Joseph Stalin when they hear of it, or they think of radical kids and adults fighting the government. I myself am 14 and i find myself to be Marxist. The only reason people hate Communism is because it is the opposite of Capitalism of which is North American. If you wish to find a very inpirational man then search up "Che Guevara" North Americans find him to be a symbol of rebelion but i find him to be a man of the people of poverty, he was a hero. I hope I helped!

What are some opinions about whether President Obama is a Nazi?

Note: This question is asking for opinions. Please keep the tone friendly when adding yours. If you disagree with another opinion in these answers, do not put that here, that is what the discussion section is for. When adding your opinion, put it below those opinions before yours.

No, he is far from being a Nazi. Nazism is the extreme right wing ideology that Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party espoused. On the spectrum of political beliefs, this ideology is about as far to the right as one can get. Conversely, the Communist ideology that Josef Stalin espoused is an extreme left wing ideology that is about as far to the left as one can get.

The extreme far right is afraid of the left. And the extreme far left is afraid of the right. Many times in American politics, conservatives will see anyone who is to the left of them as extreme liberals, whether they are extreme or not. It might also be said that members of the extreme left might also see any conservative as an extremist.

When President Barack Obama is painted as a Nazi, he is being painted by people who are far closer to Hitler than he could ever be - Just because his views are left of center and not right of center. The apparent purpose of those calling him Nazi is not to be correct, or even fair, but just to create anger and anxiety, preventing him from accomplishing his Presidential goals.

To call President Obama a 'Nazi' is a stretch of the word beyond all belief. Like the term 'socialist' or 'Marxist', 'Nazi' is not a term of political ideology so much as an insult in American politics: when you don't like someone, you call them a 'Nazi'.

To be clear, Nazism entails a series of commitments, such as militarism, nationalism, eugenics, dismantling of capitalism, destruction of class differences, opposition to liberalism, democracy, and conservatism, and even support for revolution. President Obama, as much as he may be disliked by sections of the U.S. society, clearly does not meet all of these requirements. Therefore, it is false that he is a Nazi.
