Where is the MAP sensor located on a Pontiac Fiero GT 2.8L V6?
it could but, there are many things you should check first before you start throwing parts at you car.some things you can do yourself.check for vaccum leaks by removing you air cleaner assembly(if 4 cyl.) and listen for any out of the ordanary hissing sounds, also visually inspect all hoses related to vaccum.the beautiful thing about a fiero is it was very advanced for its time. If you take it to a garage they can put it on a scan tool and check for codes, they can also watch the sensors on datastream.this should point the finger at a faulty sensor if that's the problem
Where is the fuel tank located on a 1988 Pontiac Fiero?

Where is the ECM located on a Pontiac fiero?

How do you remove lock from door out of a1986 fiero?
Window height may need to be ajusted to gain access to lock cylinder. Remove the two screws by the interior handle to remove the cover plate(one under the handle, one under the fiero symbol). Remove the three fat screws for the arm rest. The interior door panel is just fastened with plastic clips, but they have a tendency to pull out of the pressed fiber panels so use caution. Once the inner door panel is removed you should be able to see the linkage attached to the lock cylinder. It's held on by a small retaining clip. Take a small screw driver and pop it off(it's gonna go flyin so pay attention) and remove the linkage. Just ahead of the lock cylinder(1/2 inch) you will see an inch high piece of metal sticking out(usually, but not always, rusty). Pry forward to release. Once removed, push the cylinder in from the outside. Done. Hope this helped.
How do you remove wiper blades on 1987 Pontiac fiero?
I am assuming you mean the wiper arms - They just pry up off the posts. There is no "release" on them. They should pry up using a large screw driver. Try to hold the spring tension off of the post so they come up straight and don't bind.
What does the fuel tank look like on a 86 Pontiac fiero?
It looks like a long plastic box that an idiot has left out in the sun.
Staggerd idle 1986 Pontiac fiero 2.8 v 6?
Your IAC valve next to the throttle body is likely stuck open. Remove it with a 1"1/4" socket, clean it and let it sit overnight, and then reinstall it. If it continues to stick open, it is defective and you will need to purchase a new one.
The IAC, when it is stuck in the open position, causes the 2.8L Fiero V6 to feel like it has a sluggish idle. You should also be seeing problems periodically when you start it, such as the idle jumping up when it first runs, and then dropping below 1k RPMS.
Where is the ecm test connector on a fiero gt 2.8 19 87?
It is behind the little cover where the cigarette lighter is.
And that is basically under your right elbow sitting in the drivers seat.
How do you change the oil pressure gauge on a Pontiac Fiero?
First, make sure it's actually a gauge problem. A lot of times it's not on Fieros.
If the gauge is "pegged" then it's not the gauge, but the oil pressure sensor. This sensor is located between the batter and the vacuum tubes running alongside the motor. You'll see a rubber connector attached to it coming in from the top. Unplug it, and you'll see the sensor - likely covered in oil.
If the gauge is indeed inoperational, then it's simply removing both the auxiliary gauge beauty cover and the radio surround beauty cover. You then have to unbolt the auxiliary gauges from the console skeleton. Once the whole assembly is removed, look underneath the gauges and you'll see four bolts. Remove these, and they'll separate from the trim piece, allowing you to remove the gauges.
Where is the ac relay located on a 1986 Pontiac fiero?
Kind of tucked in behind the air cleaner behind the driver on the fire wall.
It is identical to the fuel pump relay and I do not believe the AC relay is listed any more but the fuel pump relay is.
Where is the horn relay on an 87 Fiero?

Can 20 rims fit a 2007 Monte Carlo?
Yes. I live in Miami and have seen 24" rims on them. They might need to get lifted at that size but 22" rims fit just fine. I own a 2007 SS and will be doing the same soon....

How do you replace door latch on 1987 Pontiac fiero?
There are about ten diferent parts in each door that coulb be a "Latch"
All of them have a similar repair proceedure.
Remove the inner door panel, to do this remove trim around the inside door handle, the is a philips crew hidden under a little trim button. Remove the arm rest, three screws, two acessed from the bottom and one you remove a little rectangel at the top of the handle portion. The sliding door lock thingy slides to the unlocked postiion and is suposed to snap off if you pull on it. There are little grippy tree retainers into the door around front bottom and rear of the door panel, use a trim removal tool to work them out, if you are not carefull the door panel will be damaged. Once it is loose, window down and lift it up and off the door, remember you have door lockswitch wires to deal with once you have access.
The door handle has little sheet metal nuts holding it on and a little rod clip. To change this the window must be up. The normal socet size is 10 mm, the dificulty level 8/10. Special tools are magnet, and 1/4 drive set with "U" joint and several diferent extentions.
The interior door handle is very easy once the door panel is off.
The main latch mech is very dificult, the last one I did I removed the outer door skin for better acess and was still a 10/10 on the pain in the butt scale.
Remove inner door panel as above, remove mirror, remove door handle as above, there are a bunch of plastic screws around the inner side of the door holding the door skin on. Remove. Remove large screws holding it in, fight with the link rod clips, reassemble reverse of dissasembly.
If you can finish the job with out a blood transfusion you did well
If it is loud (louder than other GM cars of the same era with fuel injection) I'd suggest you get it replace BEFORE you are stranded. Running out of fuel damages the fuel pump. They all do make some noise, but the noise is not "loud" Sometimes the baffels in the tank break and pieces of the baffels lodge in the fuel pump.

If the chain fails, there is usually no internal damage other than the chain, but the engine must be removed to service, unless you like doing it the hard way.

How do you replace the clutch in a Pontiac Fiero?
The easy way to change a fiero clutch is to use a hoist raise the car off the engine/trans/cradle assembly, Remove the transmission and access the clutch. (THERE IS A LOT LESS WORK TO BE DONE IF YOU SIMPLY UNBOLT THE EXHAUST AND THE MOTOR MOUNT AND PULL THE ENGINE FROM THE CRADLE AFTER YOU HAVE PULLED THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY! THIS WAY THERE IS NO REASON TO PULL ANY BALL JOINTS OR AXLES. AND THE ENGINE HAS STOCK PULLING EYE POINTS TO GRAB IT WITH.)
Next hardest is to raise the rear of the car so the rear of the car is raise a minimum of three feet clear of the ground. Remove rear wheels disconect park brake cables etc. Support the engine, i ussualy do this by using a crossmember above the engine suported by the shock towers. Next loosen but do not remove the front cradle bolts. Disconect the following, exshaust at the down pipe where the system conects to the engine from the portion mounted on the cradle. Disconect the control arms at the ball joint and pull the half shafts out, usually I can get away with only pulling the drivers clear of the wheel bearing and hub assembly, the other I can usaualy get clear of the trans without disturbing that hub assembly. Unhook all conections to the cradle, engine mounts ground cable etc. Remove the rear cradle bolts, the cradle will need to be lowered to the ground, heavy and dangerous, it should pivot on the front bolts to alow access to the back of the trans. Carefull with the hydraulics as these are getting very rare or expensive as are the shift cables. Reinstall reverse proccess. This is dirty dangerous and no fun. I only do this if I powder my clutch far from home and can't aford to have a trany shop do it. But it can be done with basic hand tools and some patience.
The hardest way is to pull the engine out the top. It will come as long as the exshaust manifolds are pulled. Allow several hours to drill out broken exhaust manifold bolts any time you disturb them. The only time I did this type of engine pull on a fiero I covered the rear window with cardboard to protect it from my stupidity.
How do you remove the spark plugs from a six clylinder fiero engine?
On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being so easy My mom could do it in ten minutes to 10 meaning the engine has to be removed from the car and will take 40 hrs work this is a 2.5
Follow the spark plug wires to the spark plugs.
Pull the wire off the plug using the proper plug wire boot pulling tool.
Use the correct spark plug socket and a ratchet, a 3 inch extension and a universal joint will be handy for this process.
Remove one wire and unscrew the selected spark plug, Inspect, Select and inspect a new plug, checking the Spark Gap as you do.
Screw in in and tighten it up, 24 foot pounds of torque is the target, using a torque wrench for the first one makes it easy to get close enough on later Plugs.
Reinstall the wire onto the Spark plug, It should "click" into place.
Repeat
The spark plugs on the front of the engine are a bit of a pain but easily doable.
