Urban-rural migration simply refers to the movement of people from urban areas to rural areas. In recent times, rural to urban migration has become more common, as more people move to urban areas in search of jobs. Urban poverty simply refers to the poverty people living in urban areas experience.

Unemployment leads to poverty because without employment a person has no reliable source of income. Every person has certain needs and wants (this could be related to consumption etc.) without any income a person cannot fulfill his/her basic needs. Poverty is a situation in which a person is unable to satisfy his/her wants. Now employment may be denied to a person because : that person might not have basic skills needed to accomplish the task(illiteracy),Or because of ill health, or because of discrimination /social exclusion. These reasons are either causes/outcomes of poverty. So you see unemployment leads to poverty but poverty too leads to unemployment.

Well, actually poverty can affect anyone at some point! Without knowing how a student of social studies would answer this question.. I would expect that poverty can affect the rich. For one thing if wealth becomes too concentrated and there are too many people at the low end who can't contribute to the cost of society (taxes to maintain infrastructure for instance) then more of that burden must fall to the wealthy. The wealthy who derive their wealth by selling goods and services to a mass market will be affected if the market dries up because too many individuals are too poor to be able to buy the goods/services. People suffering from poverty may become enraged at the despairity between themselves and the wealthy and may express that rage through a violent revolution and redistribution of wealth. Some wealthy individuals may feel concern about such a despairity and choose to give some of their wealth to better the condition of the poor or to help the poor find a way to prosperity.

Technology is the physical devises of technical performance. It is marked by number of classes for different purposes such as medical services, household appliance, transportation and internet access also helps to get agricultural and educational information to villagers. To remove poverty majority of private and government companies of poor countries are actively participating to increase Information and Communication Technology in rural areas.

Communism has been established terribly. While designed as a future utopia where government will eventually cease to exist, communist states usually turn into authoritarian or even totalitarian states. The less democracy in a country, the more poverty. This is because freedoms are dismantled, citizens usually pay high taxes, jobs have lower pay for "fairness", etc.

Poverty in the Philippines is a huge problem with many different causes. The Philippine Aid Society was founded to fight poverty in the Philippines. Its mission statement is "to provide critical goods and services to Filipinos in desperate need and where possible equip them with the means of self sustenance, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Create jobs, educate, end illegal immigration, educate, stop trickle down voodoo economics, educate, protect home ownership, educate, recreate the middle class, educate, create a health care safety net, educate, reduce the distance between the haves and the have nots, educate, and if in doubt, educate some more.

The ability to organize plan and execute that plan creates wealth. Wealthy people tend to have a single minded goal while many poor people tend to plan on working on a plan tomorrow.

There are exceptions to this rule, but this tends to be the norm. I have a great number of friends that made their wealth from ground zero. This is the common factor. Working 60 to 80 hours is a light week for most wealthy people.

There is no easy solution as to get out of poverty, it is still, and probably always going to be a problem the world will always have. Much like the fact that there will be people that are greedy, and people that will hate because someone or thing is different.

With so many people moving into the city taking up more space than needed this causes crowding which in turn can cause social discord amongst the people living there. Due to the overcrowding and loss of cultural togetherness there tends to be a need for more services such as police and medical needs. There tends to be a overwhelming rate of crime is such areas as well, which leads to more law enforcement housing (jails).

people are trying to give money to the poor, starving people all over the world. People are creating websites to enable people to send money to other countries, without the possiblity of the money getting lost. there are other things too, but thise are just a few.

National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) 2005

was passed in September 2005. The Act provides 100 days assured employment

every year to every rural household in 200 districts. Later, the scheme will be

extended to 600 districts. One third of the proposed jobs would be reserved for

women. The central government will also establish National Employment Guarantee

Funds. Similarly state governments will establish State Employment Guarantee

Funds for implementation of the scheme. Under the programme if an applicant is not

provided employment within fifteen days s/he will be entitled to a daily

unemployment allowance.

National Food for Work Programme(NFWP),

was launched in 2004 in 150 most backward districts of the country. The programme

is open to all rural poor who are in need of wage employment and desire to do

manual unskilled work. It is implemented as a 100 per cent centrally sponsored

scheme and foodgrains are provided free of cost to the states. Once the NREGA is in

force, the NFWP will be subsumed within this programme.

Prime Minister Rozgar Yozana (PMRY)

was started in 1993. The aim of the programme is to create self employment

opportunities for educated unemployed youth in rural areas and small towns. They

are helped in setting up small business and industries.

Rural Employment Generation Programme(REGP)

was launched in 1995. The aim of the programme is to create selfemployment

opportunities in rural areas and small towns. A target for creating 25 lakh new jobs

has been set for the programme under the Tenth Five Year plan.

Swarnajayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY)

was launched in 1999. The programme aims at bringing the assisted poor families

above the poverty line by organising them into self help groups through a mix of

bank credit and government subsidy.

Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yozana (PMGY)

launched in 2000, additional central assistance is given to states for basic services

such as primary health, primary education, rural shelter, rural drinking water and

rural electrification.
