Santa isn't real because what about all those children who live in poverty and are homeless that are good but still don't receive presents from santa?

Sometimes it isn't physical gifts that matter. It is the people in our lives, people that mean everything to us that are the real presents. Maybe its for just that reason that Santa does not deliver gifts to everyone. To make them/us realize what really matters in life is not gifts, but instead the people we love and cherish.

What is the poverty rate in America?

The stats have been greatly under-estimated in the U.S. (and Canada.) The stats are covered-up basically to make the government look productive (shoved under the rug so to speak) and there is no need for ANY poverty in either the U.S. and Canada (two very flourishing countries.) There are many studies done on the poverty levels and each come up with different percentages, but here goes: (This is the U.S. only)

  • 13% of the U.S. population fall below the federal poverty level and is under-stated!
  • The U.S. has the high poverty level in post-industrialization developed world.
  • Each year the poverty level gains by 12 - 15% and in 10 year periods up to 40%.
  • In 2001 minors were 14.8% and African American minors 30%
  • In 2004 poverty levels for minors rose 12.7
  • In 2006 poverty levels for minors rose 21.9%
  • More than 37.0 million people were below the poverty level.
46% African American children & 40% Latino children, 14% Caucasian.
REASONS:
  • Economy is poor
  • Cost of homes - Real Estate rise
  • Drug abuse (including alcohol)
  • Lack of education
  • Single teen mothers
  • Crime
  • Natural disasters
  • Lack of work ethics
  • Minimum wage
  • Institutional racism
  • Limited job opportunities re race and ethnic groups
They can research the stats to death, but the bottom line is ... someone up there is getting rich at the expense of a high majority of hard working, God-fearing people! It's time people stood up for their rights and fought back (in a peaceful demonstration.) There is absolutely no need for a country as bountiful as the U.S. of A to have ANY poverty level. It's time that both the U.S. and Canadian people started to do something about this. Those of us that are in the middle class get the buck passed to us by high taxes and there is an extra high percentage of middle-class people fighting to keep up with their mortgages on their homes. Still, with all the taxes that middle income people make there seems to be few improvements made for those in poverty. Do the math! Someone up there doesn't love us or the poverty stricken people.
