Is there a difference between lifetime rights and a will that states someone may live in a house or basement as long as needed and the other owners can do nothing?

What skills knowledge behaviors do you need to develop to maximize your success?

People skills. The power of networking trumps all others, even education. It's always 'who you know' over what you know. Consider what job your in now - how did you acquire such? Did a friend/family member tell you of such? The clear majority of job openings are never posted. The ability to interact with like minded professionals will go along way. Once you are in the position, maintaining a positive reputation to perform tasks on a timely matter. Take risks when they have a 'more than likely' favorable outcome, or a minor negative if failed. Work at any given profession for a min. of 2 years - but after 2 start looking for 'greener pastures'

How does the narcissist develop the ability to psychologically penetrate his partner and is this action a symptom or a learned skill of the narcissist?

I have learned and do believe that N's have abusive and/or traumatic childhoods, that they have either seen or been subject to abuse. What they learned and experienced from either or both of their parents/or abuser developed them into people they are. To us laypeople, it is a confusing explanation, best look it up under ask.com...narcissism. Anything by Sam Vaknin is very revealing. Look for examples of what YOU have been through and match it up to his examples...it made perfect sense to me...certainly though I am not a mental health provider and there is lots of room for error. But the N's lack of empathy and all the baggage of their acts and their posing and their drama rings true under the definition of narcissism. Peace...mbme

Read the following link:

The narcissists learns emulation skills and build their own "emotional resonance table" as to others people's reactions. Because narcissists are emotional vampires, they have from a very young age learned the actions and reactions of other people. Over time, they have developed their own state of mind as to how people will react to certain situations. They constantly read other people, and every move and action by the other person is taken in by the narcissist, and calculated by through their emotional resonance table.

Also, abuse victims, which many narcissists are, develop what can be considered emotional and psychological antennae's. These antennae's were developed primarily in infancy, and can be thought of as a form of synesthesia. They were used by the infant to help them escaped the abuse that they suffered from. As the narcissist grows older, they continue to have these emotional antennae's to see into people's minds.

But, everything depends on a reaction from other people. Narcissists are cold and calculating. They have an innate ability to penetrate the psyches of other people.

====

Maybe everyone has the ability to penetrate their partners mind... but they do not have the motivation. Ns use it because they have some sort of hate/thirst in them. Also Ns have experience in using that.

Narcissist comportment is not conscious. In their head, narcissists are good guys, they hurt the other person because they "love them" etc... They do not have easy control over these actions.

How do you make a speech as a new comer in the company's welcome party?

Ahh.................Most of all, be yourself. Thank executives that have already welcomed you, and name names. Tell them how excited you are about this great new opportunity and that you will bring this same excitement and energy to future challenges that may be presented to you. You are a TEAM player. Smile and be happy. If you can find an appropriate short story or joke put it in your speech; it relaxes everyone. Then close by saying that "we are a team with the same goals; and they are the success both now and in the future of this spectacular company, name company." Then just say thank you everyone and listen to the applause.

Practice your speech and remember to talk slowly while practicing. When you stand in front of people, most of us tend to speak much faster than we normally do. When you practice with a slower pace, you will speak more normally when you give your speeach. Pause at places to emphasize a statement. Take your time and you will be listened to. Wait until the room is still before you begin or people could miss your introduction. Have their attention and then begin. Remember to look for a funny story or joke perhaps on the internet or in a book on speeches at Borders etc. You'll do great. Keep it short and everyone will be happy. Wishing you the very best. I sincerely hope this helps.

What is the polite way to ask someone to leave?

If it's in a relationship just say were having differences right now and I'm really feeling as if I need my own space and I think we should stop seeing each other. If it someone who has worn out their welcome just say I enjoyed your company and I've given you plenty of time to get yourself together but now it's time for you to leave I understand this may not be good time for you but it is for me and you know if need me call me but you have the rest of the day to get your stuff out. or the end of the week or whatever. You know how to talk to someone so you know what you would like to say but say whatever it takes to get them out sometimes people take your kindness for weakness so don't just say it without authority say it like you mean it if it's just GET OUT!! then say that so just say it It's time for you to go GET OUT!!! Good Luck!!! Politely mention that its getting late or that you have things to do. Mention it twice and if they do not respond say," Im sorry but I have things to do so its been nice talking with you but now its time to leave." Also you can ask them what time it is, that is usually a kind hint to leave.

How can you stop yourself from turning red when you are speaking to a large group?

Many people have to deal with this but most of the audience never notices. When we are nervous our adrenal gland goes like a locomotive sending blood rushing to the face. Some people have a ruddier complexion than others so their faces appear redder. Here are some things you can do: Before speaking, jog, jump on the spot, run up and down the steps of the building or go outside and run down the block. This action calms the adrenal gland. A very wise old man told me once that when I spoke to a large audience or even to a boss, to imagine them with their pants down around their ankles sitting on the toilet! Well, I laughed so hard, but, I put it into practice and it made me realize that most of those people wouldn't have the guts to stand on a platform or stage and give a speech and I was proud of myself. It also made me realize we are all the same and no one is super special. Red-faced or not, I was getting the word out on the subject I was passionate about. All in all, it really doesn't matter if your face is red because those who are there to listen are more interested in what you are saying than what color your face is. Good luck Marcy Practice in front of small groups of your friends, then eventually you won't get nervous.

How can a shy person build their confidence for public speaking?

"How do you get rid of your shyness and get confidence to present a speech for a large number of people?"

I suggest a voice coach. I'm currently planning to take voice coaching lessons to overcome my tendency to be reserved unless angered when publicly speaking. In my career i speak to large groups of people but nothing in terms of speech giving.

I think the most important thing is to rehearse your material and know it thoroughly. If you are speaking to a public gathering on some matter, more than likely, you are the expert on that material, at least relative to the people to whom you are speaking. So, know that you are the expert and you'll be surprised at how much more confident you will be.

A couple of tips on speaking in public. First, project your voice. Speak loud enough so you can be heard. Second, enunciate. People who are nervous public speakers tend to run their words together or speak quickly. Don't. Just speak in a normal cadence, but try to enunciate your words a little better. Third, maintain eye contact with your audience. You don't have to catch someone's gaze and hold it. But make sure you are looking at them, cast your glance all around the room. The worst public speakers are those that read from their notes. Finally, if you are going to use PowerPoint or some such tool, DO NOT CLUTTER UP YOUR SLIDES. You want your main points to be succinct and to the point. You don't want whole paragraphs on your slides. If you do that, your audience will spend too much time reading and not listening to you. You may as well just pass out handouts and skip the presentation.

If you feel as if you've dishonoured or failed yourself and are thinking about committing sepukku what should you do if you both can't and don't want to talk?

Well, it sounds like you've taken a lot of your energy to get to this plan of yours by not talking and thinking of committing sepukku. Think again! You're wasting your energy! Unless you are mute, there is no reason you can't talk to each other and one of you has to start, so since you're the one on the board why don't you start talking to your partner? If they are unreasonable then it's time to move on. Instead of taking your energy and pouring it into a more positive direction, you're being stubborn as is your partner! You sound like an intelligent person and I am shocked that you actually think you can go through life not communicating or making mistakes. My question is, "What makes you think you are the leader of the pack when it comes to feeling dishonoured or that you've failed." If you are as smart as I think you are try this one: EVERYONE on this earth (famous or infamous) makes mistakes and there are parts of their lives they aren't proud of. Life is making mistakes! If we don't make mistakes we never learn a blasted thing in life. It's like a baby learning to walk. They fall, they roll, and they waddle, but they get back up! They do it until they get it right! So, if a baby can do it, what the heck is wrong with you? Life is about falling and getting up and dusting yourself off and doing it until you get it right. It's about listening to others and opening your eyes up. You have actually became anal retentive in life. I am not trying to put you down, but it appears you are stubborn and a matter-of-fact person and are missing out on your partners feelings and not stopping to express to each other how each of you feels. When you do decide to do this you will be truly amazed how you can work through your problems and come to some middle ground where both of you are happy. So, stop with the sepukku and get with the process of learning from your mistakes, communicating and realizing you are just human and will continue to make mistakes. The only bad thing is ... not learning from those mistakes. Good luck Merry Christmas Marcy

What year did the LA Clippers start?

The Los Angeles Clippers first came into existence as the Buffalo Braves in 1970. The Braves were one of three expansion franchises to join the NBA that year (the Portland Trail Blazers and the Cleveland Cavaliers were the other two), as the league dueled with the upstart American Basketball Association for prominence. After struggling through their first few campaigns, the Braves soon found playoff success under the coaching of the legendary Dr. Jack Ramsay and high scoring Bob McAdoo. Unfortunately, drastic changes in the organization's ownership during the 1976-77 season threw the team into a tailspin, resulting in back-to-back losing seasons. Following a proposal by then-NBA attorney David Stern, the Braves were allowed to leave Buffalo after the 1977-78 season for San Diego. The deal was a complicated one, as Buffalo Braves owner John Y. Brown traded places with Boston Celtics owner Irv Levin. Levin, a California businessman, was unhappy in Boston and relished the opportunity to own a team in his home state. Levin immediately renamed the club the Clippers due to San Diego's bustling harbor and seaside locale. Under Levin, the Clippers posted respectable records, but could not seem to reach the playoffs due to a loaded Western Conference. In the Clippers' first San Diego season, their 43 victories were impressive, but just shy of playoff caliber. That year, six Western Conference playoff teams tallied at least 45 victories. After missing the playoffs for the third straight year, Clippers ownership again changed hands as Beverly Hills attorney and real estate mogul Donald T. Sterling purchased the team in June of 1981. Despite the play of new additions Tom Chambers and Terry Cummings, the Clippers continued to struggle in San Diego over the next few seasons. Injuries plagued the team and box office numbers plummeted. Finally, with attendance averaging fewer than 4,500 fans per game for the third consecutive season, Sterling moved the team north to Los Angeles in 1984. On November 1, 1984, the Los Angeles Clippers debuted at the Los Angeles Sports Arena with a 107-105 win over the New York Knicks. The arena became the team's home for the next fifteen seasons, during which the franchise snapped a playoff draught, hired NBA legend Elgin Baylor as Vice President of Basketball Operations, and landed 2 #1 overall draft picks in a 10 year span. The 1998-99 campaign marked the Clippers' final season at the L.A. Sports Arena as the team again changed addresses. In 1999-00, the franchise moved just up the street into the new state-of-the-art STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles. Since making the transition to STAPLES, the team has broken attendance records in each year of its residence and has added a crop of talented young players that have dazzled Los Angeles crowds.

Should illegal immigrants be granted a public education?

Yes. Specially the children who are blameless for being here illegally since their parents or relatives brought them here. They (the children) did not have a choice. i agree, of course they should. i am a teacher and believe all children deserve an education. Answer . Definatly not. Why should the local taxpayers have to support the education costs of other peoples children who pay NOTHING. This causes a strain on the resources that should be going to teach the children of those that are paying for it. This is why emergency rooms and hospitals are closing up all over the U.S.

What does it mean to have the ability to be bonded?

To be "bonded" means the insurance company of your employer must agree to insure them from any losses or damaged caused by you, their employee. Generally, you must be of good character, with no or few relevant criminal convictions, and sometimes no record of being fired from a job for misconduct. It means that you are trustworthy, and can handle cash and valuables.

The bonding company will do a background check on you, possibly going back to when you were a student in high school, and talk to your provided personal references, at least three of them, and also your past employers and maybe your friends, to find out if you really are honest, and not a crook.

Once they are satisfied that you are "bondable" they will send a report to your prospective employer and offer to "bond " you. This is like an insurance policy that will pay the employer IF YOU STEAL FROM THEM, while working for them. Once a person had been bonded, it is a great factor in being hired in the future, as it proves that you are an honest and trustworthy employee.

Can you be emancipated if you'll be 18 in five months and your home life has always been unstable and you are ready to support yourself and you have a job and a place to live?

Emancipation is not a quick process. It takes times. It would not happen in 5 months. Wait it out. There are many misconceptions about the process of filing an early emancipation petition. First and foremost every state that allows such an action will have a "catch" In many states the parents or legal guardian have to consent to the emancipation of the minor. In other states the state compulsory education laws play a part, meaning the minor would have to stay in high school while trying to work enough hours to pay for housing, food, clothing, medical care, and so forth. The court will not just accept the word of the minor when assessing their ability to live without adult intervention. The petitioner must present clear and valid proof requested by the court, and must pay all legal fees and court costs. And that is only the "short version" of an emancipation process.

Does a Narcissist lack communication?

They have minds like steel traps, but they don't communicate well because they don't care about the other person's opinions or feelings and it's all about them. They put themselves on such a high level (in their own minds) that they feel only their opinions count. They are incapable of giving an opinion, listening to someone else's opinion and meshing the two together to come out with a better resolve to any problem. Marcy A narcissist is very good at superficial communication in that the 'false self' continually boosts itself. This can result in very amusing, and entertaining conversation with the narcissist enjoying 'playing' with the other person until he gets the response he wants. If the person involved in communicating demands true feelings or emotions, then conversation from the narcissist abruptly stops. Another aspect is the power that a narcissist can project through unconcious communication. They are very adept at manipulating the other person's emotions and subconciously this too can become a game for the narcissist with the aim being to elicit emotion from the other person. As long as this does not go too far and both parties are happy with this type of communication, I feel that it is not a problem. The problem often is that the narcissist does not know when to stop and the other person is 'sucked dry' before they realise what is happening.

If you're on a track team and run two hours every day will that make your butt smaller if it is already small?

If you're butt's already small, what's the problem? Running a lot will definitely burn body fat reserves if there is a deficit between your energy intake and your energy output. You might consider working out your metabolic rate and your average daily energy output if you're worried about this occurring (talk to a nutritionist for instance) and try to ensure a balance in energy input vs output. If a still-shrinking butt is what you want, then just keep training and burn more energy tan you eat & drink. But remember - if your back just becomes the back of your legs with nothing inbetween, then your pants'll fall off and there'll be no superb athletic butt for women to be jealous of & for men to admire.

What is the proper way to vacuum a pool?

Answer

Attach a pole to the vacuum with wheels. Place the hose into the hole on the bottom of the vacuum. Lower the hose and pole, with the vacuum body with wheels into the water. Lower the hose fully into the water, so that it fills up with water - no air. Cover The end of the hose with your hand. Lift the end of the hose up and into the strainer area. With the skimmer baskets removed, place the hose into the water there, and place it into the black hole, or jet system, inside the skimmer area. That starts the vacuum. Move the vacuum head, pole, and hose around, while picking up all dirt and debris. If there is a lot of dirt and debris, clean out the lint strainer, and backwash. You must backwash, otherwise you will be sending out dirty water to clean with. After the backwash, continue until complete. After you are complete, backwash one more time, after cleaning out the lint strainer.

Never backwash before removing the vacuum hose and plate, and cleaning skimmer basket and pump basket. Any flow restrictions reduce backwash effectiveness.

Answer

If you have an above ground pool, you must place the cover over the skimmer that has a protruding end (it should have come with your pool). The vacuum hose fits right over the end of the cover.

What does 'cancellation based on underwriting' mean?

Cancellation based on underwriting means an insurance company decides to cancel a policy due to the policyholder's increased risk or changes in their risk profile that were not disclosed during the underwriting process. This could include a change in health status, driving record, or other factors that affect the policy's original terms.

What does 'working out of the stretch' for a pitcher mean?

When there are no runners on base, pitchers take a "full windup", which usually entails a lot of motion with the legs and arms; it takes a relatively long time for this windup to take place and the ball to be released. When there are runners on base, they are allowed to steal the next base and could easily do so if the pitcher takes his full windup. So to counter-act that, pitchers "work out of the stretch," which means they stand with their back foot parallel and adjacent to the pitching rubber. After getting their signal from the catcher you will see them bring the ball to their glove and come to a stop before pitching. From this position they can quickly throw to the base where the runner is to make sure they aren't getting too big of a leadoff. And when they do pitch the ball they just take a fairly quick step forward and fire the pitch. This step is much faster than the rocking motion they use when in the "windup" and therefore there gives much less time for the runner to steal a base. Many relief pitchers will always "work from the stretch" even without runners on base. Since they come into the game with runners on base often, trying to keep consistent with two different pitching deliveries isn't worth it.
