Do yourself a favor. If you are planning to install an aftermarket radio, buy yourself a radio wiring hardness that will fit into the factory wiring hardness. It will cost under $20.00. And it will save you lost of headaches in the future. No short, or problems... Remove Stock Ford Radio To remove the radio you will need a "Radio Removal Tool". This is a "U" shaped pin with a dent at the end. This can be commonly found at auto parts stores or, WalMart, etc (widely available for $3-$4). I tried the wire hangar solution but went and bought the tool anyway. Either would probably work, but the tool is a bit more sturdy / stiff. Here are the instructions that come with the tool: * Disconnect negative battery wire * Insert the removal tool into the holes on either side of the faceplate * Push the tools forward about 1 inch until the retaining clips are released * Grasp the tools tightly and pull apart slightly as you pull the unit from the dash

Just contact your local dealer with the original registration and some proof of ownership and they will provide the key ....some dealers may charge for this service ...others do not .

No there is only one wire for the radio antenna unless you have an extension on it or after market part . But then again I'm not sure if i know what your trying to ask . But that's the best i can do for you with the info I'm getting !

Mine is 7508 ('92 400e) It had a card in w/ the paper work, I'm inclined to think they are different.

You need a "Torx" wrench - Size 10.

1) You remove the knob by pulling it striaght towards you.

2) In the 6 o'clock position (right underneath the remaining knob), there's a slot for the Torx wrench

3) Put the wrench in and turn counter-clockwise and the radio just pops out

4) Slide out and you're done

The best material to use on these types of connections is a rubber amalgamation tape. This can be purchased at any electrical supply house. After applying the rubber tape overlay it with ordinary electrical tape. The electrical tape has UV protection that will stand up under the sunshine and protect the rubber tape. When the electrical tape starts to look dried out and starts to crack just re install new electrical tape, the rubber tape will be alright and not need to be replaced.

Radio waves are generated and modulated with the transmitted information at the transmitting station and radiated by its antenna. These radio waves are picked up by the receiver antenna, filtered from all the other transmitted signals, detected and demodulated by the receiver to recover the transmitted information.

When an electrical field changes sign, some of the energy will radiate into space. When the sign reverses the field will change again.

Thus radiated into space at approx the speed of light will be a series of electromagnetic waves.

These waves can also carry modulation - a characteristic of the wave may be varied. In the simplest form, the amplitude of the radio wave (commonly known as the carrier) may be varied by applying a speech signal for example.

Speakers can be mounted in the rear parcel shelf,, but you will need to find or make an opening for the speaker wires between the trunk and the footwell. Once you get the wires into the footwell, you can run them to the back under the carpet. Run the wires along the sides or the center tunnel, and not under the middle of the carpet.

There is a common problem with these radios that the lighting goes off. The problem is a weak point in the soldering. You can purchase directions on how to fix these on eBay. You can also find people who can repair these on eBay or Craigs list.

Probably depends on the year/model of the VW. For a 1999 thru 2002 Jetta, you would need to do this. Obtain the unlock code that was shipped with the vehicle. If you don't have the unlock code, your local dealership can pull the radio and look up the code with the serial number. Once you have the unlock code, then turn on the radio. You should see SAFE displayed. After about 3 secs, "0001" should appear. Use the station preset buttons 1 thru 4. Preset 1 changes the first digit of the code, and preset 2 changes the second digit, etc. Enter all 4 digits of the code. After code is entered, press right side of "Seek" button for about 2 seconds, until an audible signal is heard. If you hose up and get the wrong code...will go back to SAFE displayed. You will get another chance to enter the code. After 2 failed attempts, you have to wait 1 hour again for it to unlock. So carefully enter the correct code the first time.

For a 1993 Fox: Turn on the radio. You should see SAFE displayed. Hold MODE and SCAN. After about 3 secs, "0001" should appear. Use the station preset buttons 1 thru 4 to enter your unlock code. Preset 1 changes the first digit of the code, and preset 2 changes the second digit, etc. Enter all 4 digits of the code. After code is entered, hold MODE and SCAN for about 2 seconds, until an audible signal is heard.

A search of USPTO revealed patent No. 4,628,528 with a date of December 9, 1986. Patents filed at that time expired 17 years from the "issue date", so that patent is most likely expired. First: Check the owner's manual. If you're lucky, sometimes the dealer or former owner will have written down the security code number somewhere in the manual (inside the front cover, or on the page that describes the radio operation, are favorite places). Also check the interior of the glove compartment - sometimes the dealer will affix a sticker containing the radios serial number and/or security code, there. IF NOT: You will need to retrieve the radio SERIAL NUMBER. On SOME radios you can do this by holding down both the number 1 and the number 6 buttons simultaneously as you turn the radio on. If you have one of those radios, the serial number will appear in the tuning window when you turn it on. IF NOT: You will need to loosen the radio and slide it far enough out of the dashboard in order to read the serial number off the plate that is affixed either on the back, or the bottom, of the radio case. When you have gotten the serial number - either call the Honda Customer Service 800 number, or stop by your local Honda dealer and give them the serial number and they should be able to give you the anti-theft security code for your radio. WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE WHERE YOU WON"T FORGET IT! This will happen every time the battery is disconnected or goes dead.
