Unauthorized copies of content may violate either copyright laws and/or licensing agreements governing the use of original content.

This may be an indication that Google is the fastest search engine.

Ping only measures the "distance" from your computer to another computer on the net. All your test shows is the Google server computers are much "closer" to your computer than the other server computers. It tells nothing of the server computer or search software speed. The search engines themselves tell you how long the search took, use that figure to compare.

AW 107 refers to the Articles of War number 107. It was under this authority that a service man was honorably discharged from the army/navy/etc during or after WW2. AW 107 authorized the the issue and wear of a lapel pin to be worn for up to 30 days on his uniform and then later on his civilian clothes signifying his honorable discharge. This pin later became known as the "ruptured duck." The pin was first issued in a metal version, but because of material shortages it was later issued in gilded plastic and a cloth version.

Answer I am looking at two Army Separation Documents WD/AGO Form 53-55. On each it has a remarks block. On each it has entry: "Time Lost Under AW 107: __ days". I think AW107 is Article of War covering Absence Without Official Leave.

I'm an electronics manufacturing engineer in the U.S. I make good money, but far from what top paid engineers get. I get more than most in my position, though. If it were not so cheap to send electronics offshore, I would make far more money. Because offshore is so cheap, what is built in the U.S. has to be low priced to compete. It can't be low priced if I'm the engineer assigned and my cost to the company is $300/hour. Even if my cost to the company is $50/hour, it's still not cheap to hire me compared to an offshore engineer. There would be no $40 DVD players if they were built in the US! It's pretty simple to determine the highest paid engineers: First, what do we pay most for? Or what cost the most? Those engineers who design and work on high cost projects are paid the most. It's not much different than a cook at a fast food restaurant compared to a 5 star restaurant. What products cost the most? Pharmaceuticals/chemical, petroleum/energy. Those are the fields paying well. As far as the highest paid engineer? Well, while it is field related, it is not so simple. The architect designing a single family home is not going to be in the same range as the one designing a sky-scraper. The engineers in charge of sending up billion dollar satellites are certainly well paid, but how many positions are available in such a field? So, the question needs to be narrowed down a bit. Which engineer makes the most money, more specifically, which field and finally, which specialty?
