i just had similar problem. i also thought rack and pinion, but it turned out to be just a suspension link loose. relativley cheap to replace at $40 each side. good luck!

check ball joints, If they get really worn they will rattle. jack up the front and place a hand on top and on bottom of your tire and try to move it back and forth.

You really need a manual for this one. The procedure differs for two wheel vs 4whl drive. Go to www.Team3s site there is a wealth of knowledge there. Bob Forest ang Eric Gross provide almost all of the info and you can get a comprehensive manual on CD there. you will need to take the whole assembly apart and then use a puller assuming you are wanting to replace the bearing. The hub may be able to be removed from the knuckle without removing everything else if you are good as it is pressed on. If you are trying to replacce a broken Stud you can do that without removing the hub but you need to do a little grinding on the knuckle to get the necessary clearance. If the knocking is when you hit a bump it could be your axle hitting the frame, or you need shorter swaybar links.Make sure your pinon angle is correct or you will were out your drive saft u-junts.

It's just another feature(s) for all those idiots who truly don't know how to drive a vehicle in other than ideal situations!! They'll give almost anyone a licence these days. Oh and let me guess, it's a Chevy!

Try your local auto parts stores (e.g: NAPA - Auto Zone - etc -etc) - if they cannot help you try an internet search engine and see if it may be availabele on-line.

Most likely your front brake rotors (or discs, if you prefer) are warped.

This usually occurs from being overheated - just resting your foot on the brake pedal while going down a long hill is enough to do this - then when you stop the heat is trapped inside the rotor at the points of contact with the brake pads and so they cool unevenly, creating stresses inside the rotor that cause it to bend.

This can be repaired by either replacing the rotors or having them machined back to true. (Machining can only be done once or twice though, as there is a minimum thickness determined by the designer before the rotor becomes unsafe to use.) It's usually best to replace brake pads at the same time as they will not be as effective if they have been overheated, and they will also have a pattern worn into them that may create adverse wear in the new rotor surface.

155 ft. lbs. for the upper control arm-to-frame bolts.

Into the power steering fluid reservoir. Please, if you're not sure where it goes stop by your local auto parts store and ask someone there to show you. They will be happy to help you at no charge.

check you frame or sub frame mounting.

If it is 4 wheel disc, then check the dust shield. If it is drum brakes then could be the rim/lip on the drums, if they weren't replaced. Or check to make sure a spring is not broken or shock/strut etc.

It depends if you want a bolt on kit or a custom kit, the largest bolt on kit is a 24" Full Throttle supension kit for a 99-04 F-250, F-350, and Excursion, you can fit any size tire underneath it. then you have the custom lift kits, the largest recorded on a street legal truck is a 52" lift with 54" boggers. I personally own an Excursion with the 24" lift kit, and I own an 01 dodge 1500 with 14" suspension lift with a custom 4 inch body, sitting on 49 iroks.

You should have someone pull off the hubs and check your bearings to see if they need to be replaced or just repacked

There is no adjustment on rack and pinion steering. If you're steering is sloppy or something I suggest you get an alignment and your front end checked.

The track control arm, also known as the pan-hard bar, is part of the rear end suspension and in most vehicles it is not adjustable. In a typical NASCAR vehicle (for an example) they use an adjustable one so to make adjustments on how the rear wheels track in relation to the front wheels.

It probably needs an alignment.

It means you have pressed the ECT button which changes the transmission shift pattern. Press it again to turn it off.
