By looking the firing order you shows; I can see that if you change the number 1 for the number 3 and start from the number 1, you now have the correct firing order… in other words: just swap the wires 1 and 3. Saludos!

Timing on all Briggs & Stratton small engines is set at the factory and non-adjustable. It is determined by the placement of the armature (coil) and position of flywheel on crankshaft. It all depends on what year the truck is. If it is the older version with the round distributer cap, you need a timing light. Connect the timing light to the number 1 cylinder, which is the front one on the drivers side. next you have to put the computer in base timing mode. To do this you need to locate the timing connector, which is usually located

in the passenger side under the carpet ,below the hvac unit. Unplug the connector and start the engine, then shine the timing light on the timing marks and loosen the distributor and turn it unill the marks line up .Then tighten the distributor, and reconnect the connector. If it has the flat cap , the timing is set with a scanner .

On the 1.8 DOHC GSi model the cam shaft timing sprockets have little marks along the edge of them. The two marks MUST be lined up closest to each other. The marks are very small and you may want to use your fingernail to find them. On the 1.6 SOHC model, the camshaft timing sprocket has the same type mark, but it must be at the 9 O'clock position. It should be EXACTLY on the top plan of the cylinderhead mating surface with the valve cover. On all Storm engines, the lower crankshaft timing sprocket has a small notch. That MUST be at the 12 O'clock position. It will line up with a small little triangle on the oil pump housing.

For the 4.6 liter V8 engine in a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis :

This is not an easy job. The belt runs around the passenger side engine mount. Now would also be a good time to change the water pump since it is also buried behind the covers. It's actually standard procedure at Toyota repair shops to do this. To change the belt, you need to disconnect the battery, remove all the belts that run the alternator, a/c, etc. Then put a jack under the engine and remove the passenger side engine mount. You will have to jack up the engine an inch or two to get at the 4 bolts that hold the crank pulley in place. The plastic covers come off next if there is nothing else in the way. This gives you access to the belt. Move the idler pulley out of the way (you will have to loosen the bolt a bit then tighten again when it's out of the way) and you can remove the belt. If you're going to replace the water pump, do it now (scrape off all of the old gasket or you'll have leaks). Make sure you do not move the cam or crank pulleys or they will get out of alignment and you'll have an even bigger mess on your hands. Put on your new belt, loosen the idler pulley bolt and it should spring out and put the belt under tension. The rest is simply reassembling everything else in the opposite order it came off. I didn't write all the little details, but this will give you a pretty good idea of what you're in for. It's almost an all day job, so make sure to give yourself a lot of time to tackle this.

i know they are hard to isatallthere are no spark plug in this car. Tjere called bolt-head plugs which each take 1 hour to isntal abd they must take takr the anterlator off and i remommend to take to a shhop because it will take about 4 to install them beceause the enhine must cone out and take to s ashop

The firing order of the Ford 7.0L 427 FE V8 is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 Rotor turns counterclockwise. However Ford did not make nor install the 427 in any 1995 Ford vehicle. This engine has not been produced since 1976. Ford did install a 7.5 liter V8 in the 1995 and that engine uses the same firing order as the 7.0L 427 engine.

This requires a set of special cam hold-down tools for holding the cams in place and the cam sprockets while removing the sprocket bolts. The procedure is quite extensive. Done one side, turn the engine 360 degrees, then do the other side, so that the left side cams will have the flats facing up while the right side cams have the flats facing down. Good luck!

each engine is different but give it to a mechanic and let him set it to somewhere around 32 - 34deg total timing. This will take the vacuum of the engine into play as well. If you don't want to spend the money take the vacuum off the carb and set to 4-6 deg on your timing cover. This will be pretty close to the same setting. If you have difficulty starting turn counter clockwise just a hair and you should be ok.

have her towed to a dealer. My husband tried to install the head and timing belt but there just isn't enough room to manouver. We ended up having it towed and repaired at the dealer. it might cost you an 1hour or less of labour

Firing order for a 6.5 CI single cylinder engine is In this order .. Cyl # 1 first .. than Cyl # 1 and than Cyl #1 I will let you guess what comes next ....
