Sounds like the motors are not getting power. So try checking the fuses, then the wire and then the switch itself.

If you press the brake down and the light comes on, a brake light is out. If it is on with your lights on, it means a tail light is out. The warning references are on page 47 (89 celica) manual...

There is a switch on the shifter or trans that turns on the lights when the vehicle is placed in reverse, it is out of adjustment or faulty. And don't forget the bulbs or fuses as a cause.

If there's no cap, you have to use the reservior & let radiator draw it in.

if it is the 3s-ge (2.0) or the 5s-fe (2.2) then it is a non-interference engine. I don't know about the 1.8 liter engine though.

It may be a lubrication issue or a broken lock spring. Try: WD-40 spray (w/wand on nozzle) stick wand into lock and spray. also: try pushing down on hatch when turning 9if it can be turned. You may have to have lock drilled out and replaced. Can you access trunk through back seats? If you can, you can unscrew the bolts on lock mechanism. good luck!

Connected to the exhaust of the Celica with one in front of the catalytic converter and one behind it. There are two.

Replace the fan relay (in fuse box under the hood)... it is locked in the on position

4 WIER STEERING Let's make that 4 wheel steering, some Honda Preludes have this feature.

Normally under the steeringwheel, above the lever to open the hood. what year is your Celica?

If it is front wheel drive it is probably the from motor mount check that.. if not check all the basics first. Spark plugs fuel filter etc.

Engine management issue....get it to a garage for diagnosis. Is most likely fuel mixture, exhaust sensors or airflow meter. They usually run fast when cold but engine management should alter the mixture to give it less fuel as it gets hotter.

It is an in-line 4cyl. like any other transverse (fwd) car.

Use your test light to make sure there is power coming through the fuse and through the switch. If so, there's a broken connection somewhere. Also check the ground at the taillight sockets. A bad ground can drive you absolutely buggers.

You should check the cv joints on your drive line. When they start to go bad they'll start clicking when you turn.

The Number One spark plug-- which is the one in front nearest the fan. Make sure to remove and plug any vacuum lines leading to the distributor before setting timing, and set with a warmed-up engine. When you finish, the vacuum line with suction on it at idle goes on the vacuum port nearest the distributor cap.

I'm having same issue on same year Celica GTS convertible. I give up so having a technician look at tomorrow. Can let you know what he finds, please do the same.

First, you must go into the trunk of the car and remove the left side panel beside the antenna. this chould expose the antenna motor and electrical housing. Disconnect the 2 plugs and remove the antenna. Instalation is the same but in reverse ;) <3
