for the 2001 ram 1500 you just need to look under the center seat on each corner there is a bolt just remove those 4 bolts and lift the center seat and console out from truck.(seat and console are one piece)

you just need a "DIN Radio Removal Tool" it looks like a tiny metal u-shaped wicket, that inserts into the small indents and pops the unit. that you can get in any Walmart store it cost around $4.00 dlls. maybe you'll need two set if your car has a radio and CD player.

You have to remove the splash guard inside the wheel well to access the lamp 1. Turn the wheel to the outside to access the two screws towards the front of the wheel well. 2. You then need to remove two plastic plugs connecting the wheel well splash guard to a "body side" splash guard. Note that there are two screws that connect the splash guard to the bumper. These screws are accessible from the bottom of the bumper. You may want to jack up the vehicle to gain access to these screws. 3. Now note that I didn't remove the entire wheel well splash guard. By removing the screws at the front I was able to push the guard aside to access the bulb. 4. It was difficult to remove the wire harness cable from the bulb. The plastic clip that secures it in place is much like the one on the headlamp and it is located (at least mine was) towards the bottom of the vehicle. You have to release this plastic clip to disconnect the wire harness. 5. Disconnect the harness 6. Then I had to use a needle nose pliers to rotate the lamp counterclockwise to remove it from the socket. 7. Using the needle nose pliers I then inserted the new lamp, turning clockwise to secure it in place 8. Connect the wire harness 9. Re-connect the splash guard Good luck.

All V8 engines have the same firing order. 1,3,5,7 is the left bank, 2,4,6,8 is the right bank and the distributor rotates clockwise. 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2

Check timing/timing belt

There is an access panel inboard of the front right tire. It's oddly shaped but about 6in by 6in with two bolts holding it on. The filter is an "element only" type (Fram CH9972). The new filter (Fram did-don't know about others) has an excellent instruction sheet detailing how to drain the filter prior to removing it. You will need a 65mm oil filter wrench for the housing. It is actually very easy once you see what it takes to do the change.

Adding to this answer: I have a 2008 Highlander Hybrid Limited. V6 engine. I'm not sure what vehicle the above poster has, but I found my oil filter in a different place, just starboard of the car's center, coming off the engine block toward the hood latch. It's about four inches starboard (left as you face the vehicle). The filter is concealed by the exhaust manifold cover, but if you lean your head down by the battery and hit the filter with a flashlight, you can just see the top of it. Anyway, I had to wait for the manifold to cool off before I could safely get to the filter, about an hour. My Highlander had no filter cover, access door, and there was no way to approach the filter from below.

I also couldn't figure out how to remove it without a mess, so I stuffed the area below it, and the exhaust manifold, with rags, and they got SOAKED. It was only by dumb luck that I had left the pan to collect drained oil under the car, or else I would have had a stain on the garage floor.

Once I cleaned up the mess, getting the new filter on was pretty easy, but I did have to do it by feel.

Good luck! For the Limited Hybrid Highlander, it is easier to remove the plastic guard below the radiator to obtain access to the oil filter. This requires removing about 8 hex bolts and 2 plastic tension clasps. Now you will have all the accessibility you need for an easy removal and installation. For my 2008 Highlander Hybrid, (1) remove cool air intake duct seal -- 11 fasteners, (2) remove air cleaner cap sub-assembly (two screws and 4 clamps), (3) oil filter is below metal sheilds and oil canister is not visible, so you need to feel for it -- a oil drain path is provided when you loosen the oil canister.

Very bad gas mileage. And can prematurely plug your catylitic converters.

CYCLE IGNITION ON-LOCK 3 TIMES THEN ON.

SECURITY LED NEXT TO THE CLOCK SHOULD LIGHT, INDICATING READY TO PROGRAM.

PRESS THE KEY FOB "DOORS" BUTTON FOR A SECOND.

BOTH TURN INDICATORS SHOULD BLINK TO INDICATE ACCEPTANCE.

make sure you have a diagram, use a long box end wrench to torque the tensioner which is near the top. When you rotate the bolt head, it will relax the tensioner. Remove the belt and then replace around all components except the tensioner. Push on the tensioner wrench again to make room for the belt to go over tensioner.

how do you change a tail light bulb on a 2003 taurus? Just did it this morning on my 2002 Taurus SEL. Not as simple as it could or should be. First open the trunk lid and remove (unscrew) the black plastic nuts that hold the elastic webbing used to hold items tightly in the trunk (can be done by hand). Underneath that plastic nut holding the elastic webbing is one of the FIVE nuts that must be removed in order to pop out the tail light assembly. Remove that expanse of webbing from the screw stems and set it aside somewhere safe. Try to safely pull back the trunk upholstery fabric from the area of the tail light assembly(tail lights, backup lights, brake lights). You should now be able to see and get to the five nuts that hold on the assembly. The nuts are standard 7/16" with two located on the top, two on the bottom and the one that held the plastic webbing knob . Hold the tail light assembly securely from the outside as you remove all five nuts. There are some plastic guide that will help you when you slip it back into place from the outside. Now carefully pull the assembly straight out a few inches until you can reach the bulb wiring inside. You don't need to pull the assembly completely off the car. Each of the bulbs is held by its own harness and requires a simple 90 degree turn to get to the bulb. Replace the bulb(s) and check BEFORE you reassemble it! Then just reverse the removal steps to reassemble. Once you have invested this much time and effort into the process, I suggest you change all the bulbs at once ... too much work to have to do it again in a few weeks or months (or minutes). My 2000 GLS does the same thing. When I fill it it reads full for a few moments then goes to straight to empty. If I am going down the road I can shift into neutral shut the motor off and restart but the gauge does the exact same thing again. I was told it was the sending unit but have not fixed it yet. The guage works fine after some driving and the needle comes off full.

This Vehicle Should Have A 4.6 V8 Northstar 300 Horsepower Engine. They Installed These In This Year And Model. And Yes The Starter Is Under The Intake. It Isn`t That Easy To Do, Even For Those That Know How. If You Try To Do This Youself, Remember To Take Your Time. Lable Ignition Wires, Plus Other Connections. And Also These Two Things. (1) There Is A Ground Wire Beneath The Manifold That You Take One End Off To Raise Manifold ( be sure to reconnect this ) "2" Fuel Line Seals, Take You Time And Be Carful With This.On a scale This Is Around 8. If You Choose To Have It Done. Find A Good Reasonibly Priced Mechanic. Hope This Helps.
