When should you replace the timing belt on a 2001 Toyota Celica GT?
The vvtl and vvtli motors are chain driven. Chains are superior to belts in many ways including wear. I've heard of a lot of 7th gen celicas hitting the 200k mark with only changing the air filter and oil. I would say do it at 150k just to be on the safe side, Do the water pump while your in there. That way you know your good until at least 300k. At least on that portion of your motor.

Are you sure you have a 2.0 engine in your 2004 Optima? The 2.4 Liter 4 cylinder engine requires the cam belt be replaced at 60,000 miles except in a California certified car, which is replaced at 105,000 miles. WARNING: This is an "Interference" engine, and if the belt breaks severe engine damage will occur.
True that!!!! Yes, it's definutely a 2.4 I am replacing the timing belt at 82000 mi and there are teeth all over the place after removing the timing cover. OMG!!! Talk about timing!!! Change that belt at no later then 60000 mi OR have it done by the dealer or a good shop.

How do you check fuel injectors on 1993 vw fox?
Get a mechanics stethescope. Engine idling listen to each injector, you should hear them clicking as they operate. If you're having problems gat a can of JECTRON fuel injection cleaner or Techron fuel injection cleaner. Add to 1/2 tank of fuel. Don't waste your money on STP or other cleaners, they don't do the job IMHO.

How do you bypass a fuel accumulator on a 1988 volkswagen fox?
You don't! Vw's use a CIS fuel injection system (CIS stands for Continuous Injection System), the fuel accumulator holds the fuel pressure when the car is off, so it can start right up when you crank the engine again, since fuel is right there at the nozzle tip of the fuel injectors.
well if it has the same engine layout as my 1993 190e in the front of the engine there is a fan, and that fan has a clutch integrated into it, to engage when the engine starts to over heat, and they do wear out which means you can stop the fan with your hand while the engine is running. not recommended to try doing with your fingers.
Install a manual gauge to actually read oil pressure
Follow your manufacturer's recommendations. If you don't have them, check with the dealer. Most cars seem to need it at about 70,000 miles. A trusted mechanic could also check it for wear.
Don't be too hasty to replace the ignition. They VERY RARELY go bad. Check ALL the fuses first. Not just the ones under the dash. There might be some in the engine compartment. (I don't know whether or not there is any there, but double check anyway.) Analyze the cause of the problem before pulling anything apart. It will only save you work and expense in the end.
