How do you open the front hood of a fiero if both cables aren't working?
Your cables may just be broke, but more likely, if your Fiero has been in a front end collision your hood may have been pushed back toward the windshield. There are two safety locking "pins" one on each side near the windshield that will keep the hood from being pulled up(why thy chose to do this on a hood that couldn't "fly open" I will never know). If you think this is the case with your Fiero you can pull up the headlight covers with the help of a friend(It's not connected to the headlight assembly but is spring loaded), to gain access to some of the hood hinge nuts(just to the inside of the light assembly). There is very little room to work but loosening these may give you enough slack to slide the hood forward and release the tension on the latch or to disengage the hood from the safety pins. Haveing a friend push down on the hood where the latch is while you pull the release cable may also help. Hope this helps.
What should a 4cylinder 1.6Litre 2000 tracker rpm be at a 65mph?
I forget what it's called off hand but if you look on the drivers side of your gear shifter you'll see a little button, if your engine seems to be racing too high start the car then push that button ( I believe it's called an over drive button) if it's on the wrong setting a O/D light shows up in the bottom right of the instrument panel and the engine races way to high. Very easy to hit by accident when putting the car into a different gear. You want that O/D light to be off.
How much hp does a gti 1.8t have?
Depends which version!
The 1.8T was supplied on the Golf GTI as either a 150BHP or a 180BHP you can tell these appart from the badging. If the I in GTI is red then it is the 150BHP version. The 180BHP version is the Aniversary edition and has a different bodykit all together.
Boosted96GSX's Response:
Not all of the above is true... The badging is a bad way of telling what power you will get. It is dependent by the year of the car. 2000-2001 had 150hp motors while anything past that had the 180hp motors. Boost was turned up to about 11.6psi from 8.7psi and a slightly different turbo was used.
if its injection then the best way is to remove the fuel line at the engine and add a longer pipe to it so it clears the car catch it with wotever you are going to use turn the ignition on (not starting position) and let the pump do the work of draining the car.

Need to no if it is missing Or misfiring.First i will say that the coil is bad.No that there are 4 signals that come from computor so you could have a wire tha is broke. There is battery voltage & ground at the coil to.But you just have one code.So it could just be the transistor in the coil.Needs coil first.

How do you replace VW Golf Cabin Air Filter?
Open the bonnet and you will see a rubber seal running accross the bulk head (Close and parallel to the windscrean) On the passenger side (Right hand drive car) there is a plastic cover with 4 screws holding it in place right behind the rubber seal. Pull the rubber seal up, remove the 4 screws and pull the plastic pannel off. You will see the old cabin air filter behind it. You need to use a flat bladed screwdriver to release the plastic cover holding the air filter in place. Swap the filter for a new one and reverse the process. (Note this is for a Mk 4 golf)

How many quarts of oil do you need for a 2 liter Volkswagen?
This is quite a task, First of all get your new heater core, you don't to wait a week for new one to show up after you have removed the old one because by then you may have forgotten where everything goes during reassembly. Step 1: disconnected Battery 2) Remove the entire dash, the only thing that stays is the steering column and wiring harness 3) Disconnect hoses and unbolt heater housing, if I recall correctly some of the bolts/nuts are in the engine compartment 4) Remove heater core cover from housing, pull out old heater core and wash out the heater housing 5) Reassemble
Good luck you can expect this to take at least 8 hours
