remove the alternator. piece of cake then.
remove the alternator first.
You can remove the coil pack and bracket which is fastened by 2bolts/2nuts. This is the thing that the spark plugs wires plug into when the other side goes on the actual spark plugs. Once this is removed it is a breeze, a mechanic mirror helps and a knuckle or U-joint is almost mandatory. It seems like alot of wiring but everything only plugs where it belongs as far as the electrical connectors you remove goes, getting the nuts that are below was done as i stood on the passenger side, a friend will make it much more easy. Let me know if you need more details.

How do you change the spark plugs on a 2000 Lincoln Continental?
To change the spark plugs on a 2000 Kia Sephia, at least in a 1.8L version, first disconnect the battery, then, remove the black plastic cover on top of the motor. There should be 6 Phillips-head screws holding it down. After removing the plastic cover, you will see two rubber covers for the spark plug wires on each side, and two gel-looking insuated tubs attached to more wires in the middle. To remove two of the spark plugs, you must carefully pull the rubber covers upward. They clip onto the spark plugs so you will need to use careful force to pull them out. Once you have them pulled out, you can look in and see the plug. It requires a 5/8 spark plug socket with an adapter to reach in. Make sure you push the socket on hard enough so that it clips onto the spark plug, other wise it will fall over and you wont be able to get it out without a LOT more work. Finish that plug by plugging the rubber covered spark plug wire back onto the spark plug, covering the hole. You can do the same thing for the plug on the opposite side.
For the two in the middle, you need to first unbolt and remove the insulated boxes that cover the spark plug holes (you can unplug the white connectors but make sure you plug them back in when you are done). Then all you have to do is do the same thing you did with the two outer ones to replace the plugs. Perform this one plug at a time, and make sure you cover the holes with a cloth or paper towel if you leave them open for any period of time. When you finish, make sure all the wires are connected, then reconnect the battery.

How do you change the spark plugs on a 01 infiniti qx4?
Not as straight forward an operation as you might hope. First, locate the coil packs. The Infiniti has a small coil mounted on top of each spark plug. This is why you will not see any heavy gauge spark plug wires running from a coil or distributor to the obvious location of the spark plug. The coil packs are bolted down to the block with a 10mm bolt. In many cases other itesm, (air filter assembly, brackets loaded with stuff) must be removed even to see the coil packs. Be very careful with the coils as they are expensive to replace ($50+ each). The coil pack will reach down into the engine 8-10" to where the spark plug actually sits. You will need a long socket adapter to reach in and actually remove the spark plug. To change all 6 plugs, plan to spend about three hours if you have never done this before.

How do you change the spark plugs in a 95 Buick Roadmaster?
Jack up the front of the car off the ground, support with jack stands. Find your socket extensions and universal socket joint and access the plugs throught the wheel well. EZ. First off, start by drinking a six pack or two. You will want to be nice and numb when you scratch and cut up your hands getting down to them! You will find some of the plug wires have their own heat sheilds on the boot. It is important you replace these if you replace the wires or pull them off when removing the wires. The fact the plug wires need the heat sheilds will give you an idea of how tight it is in there.
Actually replacing the plugs on the roadmaster is much simpler than in my wife's previous Astro Van. One plug on the Astro took 2 1/2 hours!!!
My 96 Roadmaster Limited Wagon took me about 3 hours, sober, to replace the plugs and left my hands pretty chewed up!!
Just hope and pray you don't need new wires. They are located somewhere under the waterpump. More idiot engineering from our pals in Detroit!!!
Good Luck

How do you change the spark plugs on a 2001 Mazda tribute and what gaskets etc are required?
If you have a v6 engine, you'll need a size 8 socket. First remove the three screws that hold the black cover on top being careful to not drop them. Next, you'll see the first 3 plugs with wires attached to them. These are the distributors for each plug. unplug them by squeezing the ends of the caps and pulling them off straight to the side. You will now loosen the distributor caps with the number 8 socket w/ extension and pull off the cap. You will find the spark plug under them which requires the small spark plug socket and extension. Do this one at a time with the engine cooled down otherwise it makes it difficult to unloosen them. Reverse the process to install them. Finally you'll have to undo some of the top manifold and some of the hoses to find the other 3 towards the middle of the engine closest to the firewall. You shouldn't need any gaskets as long as you are careful when pulling the top plastic manifold off. Be organized and remember where all the screws go when reinstalling the manifold and vacuum hoses back to the original areas. I did mine and took only about 15 minutes. Good luck!
How do you change the spark plugs in a 2003 Cadillac CTS V6?

How do you change spark plugs on a 1988 Honda CRX?
Pull the wires out of the top of the motor, they have a long plastic boot on the end of the wire. Using a spark plug socket and a long extension you will be able to remove the spark plugs. Check the gap on your new plugs and I like to use a section of hose that fits on the top of the spark plug to to thread the plug back in. That way you reduce the chance of cross threading. Once you get them started you can tighten them down. I usually replace the wires when I replace the plugs. I would suggest replacing the plugs/wires one at a time to reduce the risk of mixing the wires up.
How do you change the spark plugs on a 1998 350 clubwagon V10?
theres a cover hiding everythign that needs to be pulled off first. the fuel injectors might need to be turn a tad to work in there. each individual plug has a coil on top of it. you have to unblolt them and pull it out. it will have a rubber boot and a spring inside that might break off, but pull it all off. then unscrew the plug and repeat the process.
word to the wise : a mechanic told me if you disturb the coils they will cause the engine to miss fire so your better off waiting to change the plugs until the cylinder misfires, but all that need to be changed is the rubber boots and springs if it does miss
How do you change the spark plugs on a 2.5L 4-cylinder 2001 outback?
get under the car and do it from there. you will have to put socket in first then the extension, then the rachet. that is the only way i did it. I just got done. On the left side (standing at the front facing the back) remove all of the air intake stuff, 4 bolts. On the right side, remove the washer fluid tank, 2 bolts and 2 connectors. Took me about 25 minutes including new plug wires.
It sounds like the fly wheel is warped and may need to be machined to have a smooth even surface. Similar to cutting or resurfacing brake rotors or drums when brakes pulse or vibrate when applied.
I am a used car dealer and sell tons of vw's. I have had several beetles that dont register speed, fuel or rpms correctly. the only way I have found to make it close without taking it to the shop is remove the glass covering the spedo cluster and pull off the red needls and place them at zero. not sure how close to correct it is but I do think it is close.
How can you increase the top speed of a 2002 Ford F-150 with a 4.2 liter engine?
first off. its a 4.6 liter. pop into your local performance shop and pick up a super chip designed for the truck. one of the most popular in my area for gas engines is the brand Bully Dog. i use one myself, and for a gas engine its gives pretty good response. also shows your instant MPG or consumption. Transmission temp. and a few other nice perks. has multiple settings for different increases and also has a fuel saver option for the lazy days. in my books that's the best way to go. anything else voids warrenties and has the ability to disable the trucks. the governor has a safety tag built in. when pulled and not dummied the truck wont start. better off to keep it simple. and pik up a chip. also bully dog is a heads up display system so u can set it while cruising and u don't have to park and play around with a bulky set tool.
