When was John Proctor accused of witchcraft?
So Mary went to the court and tell the judges that the girls are hoax. Then, the girls pretended as if Mary bewitched them with her powers. The judges were about to sentence Mary and she could not take it anymore. She accused Proctor for forcing her to sign books with her blood at night and that she saw Proctor with the Devil. Proctor was angry and he said he did work with the Devil. There he was sentenced and therefore accused of witchcraft.
Did the amount of witches caught rise when shakespeare wrote Macbeth?
No. There had been an increase in witchhunting in Scotland around 1590, fifteen years before Macbeth was written. King James himself wrote a book about witchcraft in 1597. But although there were periodic trials of witches, which were unusual enough to make the news big time, there was no widespread increase or witchhunt mania. Such a thing did not occur in England until the Witchfinder General turned up in 1643 or so.
Witches have been around since man first became spiritual/religious. Modern day witches or pagans follow the same basic belief system that was first observed thousands of years ago. So witches have always been here (even before Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims, etc.).

What is the meaning of wizard?
There is no clear etymology for wizard, however, it typically refers to a male magician (one who can perform "real" magic, not just stage magic). It may come from an old English word meaning "wise", much like the old term Magus (also meaning wise) became magician, but there's no good evidence either way.
What are the factors in the Decline of witchcraft persecution?
In modern times a general movement toward religious tolerance has de-stigmatized the practice of the Craft. However, there is still a long way to go before complete religious freedom is universal.
What were people's reaction to the September 11 attack?
their reaction was sheer terror. imagine if you were just driving to work on a lovely fall morning, and all of a sudden, you heard a huge sound like a gun shot. or if you were in the building, and all of a sudden the building started to sway. I was in school and the principal of my school came onto the system and said, "I have some terrible news. the twin towers in new york city have just colapsed and thousands of people died. they burst into flames, and within a few hours, fell down." my best friend who lived all the way in malasia heard about it on the news. the whole world heard about it, even all of the elemantary schools did. I hope this helped you.
What ritual oils do you use to anoint?
Well, this depends upon what one is "anointing"! As a Witch one can anoint oneself, candles, the Altar, the Tools of the Art, idols ("statuary"), etc. However, certain oils are not suited for use on the skin due to the cuastic nature of the Essential Oils involved [eg. cinnamon eo and rue eo]. Of course, many religions employ ritual oils, such as Catholocism: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/07421b.htm.
With candles one can go further than merely using a single ritual oil during a spell or a rite--you can use as many as you feel appropriate! For instance, you may use more than one oil-based potion on a phallic candle for a love spell; altar candles (as opposed to the focal candle(s) of a spell) may be anointed with a separate manifestation oil for use in a spell to attract something to you; or rituals can employ oils on various candles dealing with the sabbat, deities invoked, etc.!
Instead of asking what others' use for ritual purposes, I would strongly recommend that you formulate your own oils! Some books that I strongly recommend on the subject follow (with some classic texts in herbal magick)
Now, when you begin choose a high quality base oil (such as sweet almond oil); then hit the books and break out some paper with which to record your notes and ideas! But, to begin, start blending fragrences simply--start with what you know or are familiar with, then expand upon those and create more complex formulas. But, please keep a notebook with which to record your impressions about whata new Essential Oil smells like to you. That being said, most of my formulas are either culled from ingredients that are dedicated to various deities that are germane to what I am working for; or, I will just blend a few ingredients based upon my own personal associations. Two examples will clarify my point:
I once developed a potion called Milk and Honey when I was looking for a job (feeling relatively stone-walled at the time), and blended the following ingredients for the listed purposes:
Ostara Oil
As you can see, I am a lot less formal with Sabbat Oils, than I am with oil-based potions! Although, that is not to say that I have not formulated an incense or a ritual oil with herbs and oils dedicated to deities that are stauunchly associated with that respective Sabbat. For example, Vervain Essential Oil may be employed in a ritual oil for the Vernal Equinox, because the root of this plant were worn by the Priests of Venus--a goddess not originally of love (as is sometimes thought), but of vegetation and the season of Spring.
Another tip: please familiarize yourself with the botanical names of herbs, becauise many go by similar "common names" [eg. benzoin and styrax are often confused, as is verbena and vervain].
The word from French is spelled hors d'oeuvres(appetizers).
The English pronunciation is (aw-durvz). It is from the French, and it means "outside the meal."
Astronomy is not linked with witchcraft. Astonomy is not the same thing as astrology. Astronomy is the science of studying the universe outside our own planet, including stars, other planets, nebulae, black holes and many other phenomena. It is not prohibited by any religion. Astrology, on the other hand, is a form of divination, which some religions are against and others use. Here is a rundown of witchcraft: there was a mushroom that works like LSD that would grow in crops and people would get strange symptoms and they believed that these were caused by witchcraft.
Magick does not come in colours... there is no such thing as "black" or "white".. only the intent behind it, which could be positive or negative (healing spells could also be viewed as negative as they "attack" the source of the problem - a quandry if you viewed things as black or whitte ;p)
How do you know if you're an alcoholic?
Alcoholism can sneak up on a person very easily. Some people are actually allergic to alcohol and they may get cranky, aggressive or depressed. If you need alcohol to have fun. If you can't go to a party without drinking alcohol and still have fun. If you can't go without a drink for a week or more then you are heading in that direction. If alcoholism runs in the family then be careful! It ran in my family and I seldom drink nor does my brother. It comes down to a choice!-If you are not already drinking alcoholically. A description of Alcoholism from a renowned Dr. specializing in the Treatment of Alcoholism basically described Alcoholism as. A allergy of the body which once alcohol is consumed a craving beyond mental control to continue drinking develops. Coupled with a mental obsession that drives the alcoholic back to drink with a series of lies that the alcoholic believes to be true. Example- I'm only going to have a couple, It will be different this time, and I can quite if I want to. Trust me it is not a choice of a sane and sound mind.
Here are Alcoholics Anonymous's (AA's) twelve questions to help you answer that. You'll find comments and more information at the link below.
1 - Have you ever decided to stop drinking for a week or so, but only lasted for a couple of days?
2 - Do you wish people would mind their own business about your drinking-- stop telling you what to do?
3 - Have you ever switched from one kind of drink to another in the hope that this would keep you from getting drunk?
4 - Have you had to have an eye-opener upon awakening during the past year?
Do you need a drink to get started, or to stop shaking?
5 - Do you envy people who can drink without getting into trouble?
6 - Have you had problems connected with drinking during the past year?
7 - Has your drinking caused trouble at home?
8 - Do you ever try to get "extra" drinks at a party because you do not get enough?
9 - Do you tell yourself you can stop drinking any time you want to, even though you keep getting drunk when you don't mean to?
10 - Have you missed days of work or school because of drinking?
11 - Do you have "blackouts"?
12 - Have you ever felt that your life would be better if you did not drink?
Are there real witches and wizards schools out there?
NO there is not witches and wizards school. That stuff is all made up
people may think that its real but its just really in your mind
Actually,A while back I heard about a witchcraft school in Canada, but I think it has since shut down due to a lack of students. Im not entirely sure what the name was. Mostly, witches learn in groups called Covens. They are like private schools, but with no tuition and a small, small class.
Where did the Chesapeake colonies get their financing?

What can you do to prove to people that you are not simple and that you are educated?
Prove nothing to no-one Achieve excellence for your sake not anyone else's. Keep others' perecption in mind but never a goal. (remember Rudyard Kipling's "IF") Consider the possibility that you are downplaying your intelligence. Conisder the possiblity that you are mixing with people beyond your league. Consider the possibilty of being in hostile territory. Bottom line: Be yourself but get challenged by a soul mate so you can push your limits. Love yourself, no matter what. Never let anyone put you down. The logistics for the above are: Select people who love you without conditions. If you do not yet have them in your life, wait, they are sure to come around. Until they do, love yourself unconditionally. Never whip yourself. But challenge it: learn something new everyday: a new word, a new tool, a new website...etc. If you can tolerate being with those who think you are simple or if you are obligated to stay with them, so be it. Write down the events that trigger such perception. Since it maybe painful, do not look at what you record immediately. After one day, look at what you wrote: did you really act too naively? If not, what could you have done differently. If there is something you could have done differently, what stopped you from doing that other thing? Keep doing this. Eventually, an internal sensor will develop that will enable you to select the options that better suit your abilities and help you be seen as you truly are. Take this process very slowly: not expecting immediate results.
Also A simple way to not appear "simple" is to use proper grammar and spelling.
