If the windshield wipers work when pushing the lever down but not when they are turned on all the time, the problem could be in the wiper motor relay switch. There are two different relay switches for the windshield wipers, so that if the one fails a person can still clear the windshield manually.

How do you replace low beam headlight bulb on 2003 Acura TL?

Disconnect battery to prevent getting an accidental 25,000 volt shock from lamp socket. Remove the plastic cover which extends across the top of radiator beam from left fender to right fender after removing plastic retaining pins. Each lamp has a cover that unscrews after removing security torx screw. Each bulb has a socket called an igniter in the manual. Right bulb is easy to get at after removing filler neck bolt, washer fluid dipstick for window washer and flexing washer fluid neck out of the way towards center of engine. Tuck it under power steering hose to stay down. Remove the security screw and remove cover, turning CCW facing windshield. Remove lamp socket/igniter CCW facing front of vehicle. Spring clip holds lamp in. Observe that it has a hook on your left facing windshield, press down and out to pivot out of the way to remove lamp.

Reverse procedure to install new lamp.

Left side/drivers side requires small upright air deflector to be removed. It's held in place by small plastic pin on top and rubber grommet on bottom. Also you need to remove small 90 degree air cleaner input snout. This snout is held in by an o-ring, just wiggle and pull up to remove. This gives you access to lamp cover. Proceed as above to replace left lamp. I believe cover unscrew CW facing windshield. Do not touch lamp glass during process. Reconnect battery and reenter radio code.

Are there any issues with using regular gas vs premium gas in the Buick 3800 Supercharged engine?

Right. If it calls for Higher Octane, use it. :) Unfortunately yes. ...that is...if you FLOOR it... High boost, and load need a higher octane, so as not to "ping" which can cause damage over time.. good luck dave I have a 1996 Buick/Riviera _Supercharged Owners manual recommends using premium fuel, if supercharged. I put "regular gas" in by mistake & It wouldn't go over 55 MPH. Gil Raker

I haven't noticed any difference, at least as of yet. With the high price of gas now I am using regular in my 98 Riviera, and every once in a while I will fill it with Premium. I have been told by a friend who works at a Refinery, that in the winter, you can use the "winter gas" regular. They have to make it a higher octane, but they don't tell you that. It will not cause any ping. It has something to do with Government standards. However, he does recommend using the Premium in the summer as it is made with the lower octane, especially if you do notice it is pinging. This is a common misconception that ... However ... is simply not true. The compression of you engine determines what octane fuel you should run in the engine. Follow the recommendations in your owners manual. If it says to use 87 octane, then using a higher octane will not improve performance, MPG, or in any other way, help. If however your engine requires, 89 or 91 octane, then using a lower octane than recommended may cause pinging, and pinging can cause engine damage. The exception to this are some of the modern computer controlled engines of today. An engine requiring 91 octane may indeed be able to burn 87 octane but at a penalty in MPG & power. The reason for this is that the computer will readjust the fuel air mixture and the timing to compensate for the lower octane fuel. This will prevent pinging, but at a penalty. It is simple, burn what is recommended by the people who built the engine, no more and no less. Do not listen to people who tell you that high octane fuel will help performance or mileage in a engine designed for 87 octane. It is a myth that still persists today. Even some car guys who should know better believe this. A ll you are doing is wasting your hard earned money.

If the car recommends premium gas, you can get by using 87 octane, you will just lose a little performance and fuel economy. It's been proven though that your savings in gas costs when using the lower octane are greater than your savings when using the proper premium and paying more. Older cars didn't have the engine management to change the timing on the car to get rid of pinging (knock boxes), so it was bad on the engine. If the engine requires premium, use it. If it recommends it, use it if you want to.

How do you change the low beam headlight on your 2001 Mercedes ML320?

Just open the engine hood, and look behind either headlight that is out, and remove the cover behind the headlight, should probably be a turning cover, turn cover counter clockwise to remove, then un-plug connection for bulb, and remove light bulb. Light bulb will probably be held in by 2 metal spring clips, that are hooked in, just un-hook springs to remove bulb.

How do you change the fog lamp bulbs on a 2003 Acura TL?

Locate the hole in the bottom of the bumper that is situated in line with the inside corner of the foglight. You'll need a 10mm socket and an extension for your socket wrench (I actually ended up using 2-3" extensions). Unscrew the bolt inside and remove the bolt. Use a flat head screwdriver to help pry the fog light housing out of bumper. Easiest to wedge the screwdriver between the inside edge of the foglight and the bumper (i.e. the side away from the tires). Also, wedge your hand through the air dam and help push the foglight housing out. It should pop out fairly easily. Undo the connector to the bulb, unscrew the bulb from the housing (just a small turn), and reverse the process to put in the new bulb. Hope that helps.

How do you install a fuel pump on a 1998 acura 3 2 TL?

I am really not sure but I thought I had to this evening. I purchased a new fuel pump from advanced auto parts for $133.00 and the screen for an additional 18.00. I knew the fuel filter was completely clogged so I changed it, still nothing. The main relay assembly which is under the driver's side dash, left side wall, turned out to be the problem. Apparently as the fuel filter clogs the pump runs harder to keep the required fuel pressure. This also requires more current, without blowing the 10 amp fuse, it heats up the relay board, there was a cold solder joint on the number 2 relay which drives the pump. The overall repair turned out to be 18.50 for the filter, 2 hours of highly evolved 4 letter words, and an hour of reassembly of the undercarriage still not knowing how to drop the fuel tank, I summise there are hidden bolts that hold the fuel tank but I do not have a clue where they are located. I'm guessing somewhere between the front and back bumpers. Under the back seat, tried that, in the trunk - tried that. Maybe once I dropped the tank cover and the two straps I could have used a larger hammer. Or maybe a large Sumo wrestler to yank it down????? Good luck.
