This noise may disappear when putting the transmission in neutral, and may only be heard when the transmission is in Drive. Although it may sound like the whole engine is falling apart, the cause is only a worn plastic coupler that connected the input shaft of the blower to the rotors. The holes in the coupler get worn "egg Shaped" and the backlash causes the noise. under the glove box is a 4 prong multi connector( white plastic ) behind the blower. onplug it ( Very tight quarters). The Part it plugs into can be removed with 2 screws 5.5mm socket. Pull it down and the resistor pack circuit board is soldered to it. Part is under $30

The transmission is not building up enough pressure to shift. Check your fluid and fill if needed. If fluid is fine change the trans. filter and the pressure modulator. If that does not fix it have the tourqe converter flushed.

If that does not fix it, you may need to have the transmission overhauled or have the transmission replaced

Another thing, check your linkages!!. there could be a lose linkage on the transmission, or it could be seased.

Start with basics. Check that it is getting good strong blue spark by removing a spark plug and installing a spark tester, follow manufacturer instructions. Check that it is getting fuel. If both of these are occurung you should locate a shop manual for the vehicle and fpllow the no start troubleshooting procedures.

This involves removing the dash panel, and is very complicated and time-consuming. 1. Using a flat screwdriver (or another appropriate tool) pry off wooden and black decorative plastic panels from the dash board. 2. Remove dash vents. 3. Unscrew all dash bolts (do not forget the two bolts facing downwards behind the steering wheel, on top of speedometer and tachometer, and the bolts behind each vent). 5. Remove panels. 6. Now you can unscrew 3 bolts holding the car radio. 7. Pull it out and disconnect the wires from the back.

You will need a flat, phillips and a trox screwdriver.

The starter motor is located between the transmission and the engine which engages the starter clutch with the flywheel, which rotates and starts the engine.

1. Open the trunk 2. If you have a convenience net, remove it. 3. remove the top plastic wingnut that the convenience net hooks to. 4. pull back trunk liner 5. remove the 2 plastic wing nuts found under the trunk liner 6. carefully pull the tail light assembly from the vehicle 7. squeeze the tab on the socket (turn signal lamp in the inboard socket) 8. turn socket counter-clockwise 9. pull out the socket 10. pull lamp straight out 11. push in new bulb 12. reverse steps to reinstall lamp assembly Note: replacing left and right turn signal bulbs takes about 5 minutes.

I have a '95 buick regal with a similar problem. I took it to the local dealer, who changed the crankshaft positioning sensor and one of the ignition modules and the problem was fixed. I researched it on the internet and found several other cases with the same sensor problem. You can in theory change it yourself, but it's not easy - I think I paid $200-250 for parts and labor.

I just did my Mom's 1991 Buick regal 3.8L. I removed the kick panel underneath the dash above the brake pedal. Follow the brake pedal arm up on the right side of the pedal. I used a mirror to spot the flasher unit. The flasher unit is held by a spring clip with the top of the unit pointing down. Just pull the flasher out of the clip and pull it down.

I assume you mean number 1 cylinder, which would be the front driver's side cylinder.

Should only be one bolt in the middle of the pulley that releases it.

Sounds like it has either:

Leaked all the oil out

or

HAs had serious failure durring start up, it is common for a pump failure to happen at start up when the oil is cold.
