Your 2006 Honda CRV steering wheel vibrates when brakes are applied at a speed of 40 miles and above?

Rotors do not warp as many people think.Brake Torque Variation and Disc Thickness Variation are the cause of the issue.

Brake Torque Variation (BTV) is a variation of torque across the face of the rotor causing the rotor to slip and catch as brake pads pinch the rotor. The differences in torque across the rotor may be caused by an inconsistent rotor finish or the metallurgy of the rotor.BTV can be caused by uneven deposits of friction material. This might not cause a pulsation in the pedal, but it will cause the vehicle to judder or vibrate.

Disc Thickness Variation (DTV). This measurement is the result of measuring the thickness of the rotor surface at multiple spots around the rotor. Subtract the thickest part from the thinnest, and you will have a measurement for DTV.

As the thickness variations of the rotor pass through the caliper, the piston moves in and out. This action generates pulsations in the brake pedal that can be felt by the driver.

Very small amounts of DTV can create a significant problem. Today, new vehicles are typically built with a thickness variation of less than 0.00078". Thickness variations in excess of 15 microns (0.00059") can easily generate driver complaints. DTV specifications are significantly lower than runout specifications which typically are .002". This is due to the fact that a caliper can "float" or move back and fourth without forcing the piston back into the bore.

So what causes BTV and DTV? The answer is not distortion caused by overheating. Heat does play a role as it increases wear on the rotor that causes a "warped" feeling.

This is "BBAASPENCER" here in TN and I would like to give you another answer. Actually, the correct way GM list in their service manual is to take off the engine dog bones, put gear in neutral, attach a pulling strap to the engine and hoist and roll it until you gain access. That is the same procedure for many SUV/Van GM front wheel drives. If the first procedure listed here works for you, I'm okay with that. I just wanted to give you another option.

How do you change sparkplugs on a Malibu?

On my 1999 Malibu 4 cyl the spark system in integrated into the engine cover. What I did... With the hood up and facing the engine. There is a wiring harnes connetor which plugs in to the rigth hand side. 1- Pull out the orange colored positive connector latch. 2- Pull of the black connector (make sure you push the plastic lock)

This is thge tricky part.. The cover must be removed straight up! ANy side force will break the watertight boots which connect the plugs themselves to the spark/emgine cover.

A- There are 4 bolts in the top of the cover holding it on. REmove these bolts (they are about 3 inches long) B- Move the fuel lines and anything else that might prevent you from lifting the cover straight up. I can't stress this enough. I broke mine the first time.

It comes of hard bu keep at it with slow steady force. You can wiggle it a little but not much. It will enevtually come off.

Once you remove the spark dist cover assembly you will see the plugs and have a good understyanding of what I'm talking about.

Make sure you blow out the holes and surrounding area before you remove the plugs to keep dirt out.

I usually loosen all the plugs and then use a short (6 inch) piece of 3/16 rubber hose to lift out the plugs. Push the end of the hose over the end of the spark plug. The plug goes fits snuggly into the hose and lift it out. Work sgood for re-installation as well.

How do you replace sparkplugs on Buick rendezvous?

After successfully removing the engine cover, remove the 10mm bolt that holds down the ignition coil remove it (continue this for all 6 cylinders as this engine is COP or Coil on Plug) , then using a blow gun or air gun blow any debris from inside the spark plug tube, using a 5/8" spark plug socket and a 4=6" extension remove the spark plugs. Be sure to check the gap on your new plugs (.044) then re-install the plugs, ignition coils, 10mm hold down bolts, and then the engine cover. Good Luck!

Where are the child seat anchor points on a vauxhall corsa?

People do not need to be serious gardeners to take advantage of the conveniences that garden sheds provide. Instead of keeping all the gardening tools in the garage or a basement, these sheds provide convenient storage for all kinds of gardening equipment. It’s handy to have a garden shed that houses the lawn mower, rakes, shovels, plant food, and other tools close to where the tools will be used. Instead of having to keep them in the garage that may not have an access door to the backyard, a garden shed provides almost instant access to gardening implements.

Keeping yard tools inside a shed is a good way to keep the tools in good shape. When they are inside a garden shed, rain and snow cannot rust them, and people and pets are not in danger of being injured from stepping on a rake or tripping over a shovel. Parents with children can also keep the fertilizers and herbicides out of harm’s way for their children. Most sheds come with keyed locks so even valuable garden tools will be safe in the yard.

Garden sheds are typically made from metal or siding made from composite materials, like cellulose and cement. Both types of sheds can be painted or decorated to match a backyard. Some sheds are made from plastic materials engineered to resist UV rays and temperature swings. Some municipalities require a building permit for sheds that measure over a certain size. Sheds typically have wide doors to make putting large items inside them easy. Almost all sheds are manufactured with floors, although exceptions exist.

Besides being useful for storing gardening tools, the sheds can be good places to store just about anything. Out of season clothing can be stored in garden sheds or seldom used kitchenware can be placed in a shed, freeing up cabinet space in the kitchen. Sheds can be wired and turned into hobby shops, or even be used as a playhouse for children. Once the children outgrow the playhouse, the shed can be used for extra storage.

How do you store the 2006 Honda Odyssey Magic Seat in the storage area between the front and second row?

Once you push the front seats well forward and remove the Lazy Susan, you can fold the spare seat "sideways" until it lies flat. Then you can slip it into the Lazy Susan void and put the lid back on. It's fiddly but if I can do it........... Bob Canada

What would be the cause for a Buick Rendezvous 2002 air compressor to work but doesn't have air coming out the vents?

Possibly could be the cabin air filters. I don't think that would restrict air flow 100% however. Previous Answer->This problem would be best handled by a repair shop. This could be very costly to replace parts, just because a friend had the same problem, does not mean it will be the same solution. My 2002 CX does the same - little to no air flow out the vents on heat or cool. Mechanic can't find anything wrong, not a cabin air filter problem either. Check all the complaints on CarFax - Buick doesn't admit any wrong or manufacturing problem.

How do you replace spark plugs on a 2005 Buick Rendezvous?

Raise and support the front end of the vehicle. Rear plugs are accessible from underneath the vehicle by reaching up through the area where the exhaust pipe runs. CAUTION - make sure vehicle exhaust is cool enough to touch before starting due to very limited access (automobile designers have long skinny arms and nimble double jointed fingers!). Take plugs, anti-sieze, dielectric grease, spark plug socket, various length extensions, swivel and drive under the vehicle, get comfortable, be patient and you can get it done. I did this on my 3.4 L vehicle and I presume the same procedure would apply to the larger engine.

Other answers on the internet suggested removing the upper engine mounts (dogbone mounts) and rocking the engine forward but this will not provide adequate access on this model

Why does brake light comes on while driving in your 1996 Saturn sc2?

Possibly the worst answer ever, sorry but that's not even close. Brake light can come on for 3 reasons in most cars: 1. low brake fluid (may only be noticable around corners and accel/decel) and if fluid is low have your brake pads checked before topping it off to avoid a spill later, 2. parking brake on (or faulty switch/wiring that thinks its on), 3. a difference in pressure between two sides of the line which is almost always cause by a leak somewhere in the system

Answerusually it is because the altenatoring is not giving off enough amps (Faulty) so it starts to shutoff paower to unnessary items one at a time until it completely fails.

These are usually mounted in between the outlets for the vents on the edge of the dashboard. You will have look closely to see it/them, because they are no larger than about a 1/4" square. It/they will have a tiny grill covering them.

In additiona - the outside temperature sensor is located in front of the radiator support. It looks like a little horn.
