oil in the water, you may have a blown head or intake gasket or cracked block or heads. Check the oil and see if it is the Mustard color". If it looks milky then you will need to do some major repair work.
Fan switch, fan power, fan.
The coolant system is made up of many parts, I'll list the important ones first:
1) Thermostat
2) Water Pump
3) Radiator and Cap(s)
4) Hoses/Coolant Lines
5) Ports within the engine block for coolant flow
T-Stats, purchased from local auto shops, and sometimes even dealers, are not necessarily good right out of the box. In other words, in my experience, only 3 out of 5 T-Stats are NOT defective. My first guess, try another T-Stat as the first one you bought is defective.
Verify that the radiator and coolant lines are not leaking.
Finally, if the T-Stat is opening and there are no leaks, you need a NEW Water Pump.
How do you bypass a heater core on a 2001 Ford F-150?
You would have to find the inlet and outlet hoses and put a fitting between them and hose clamp them together.
Where is the heater control valve on a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis?
The best way to find the location of a part on your car is to go to Autozone.com
Once there, create an account, add your car to "my vehicles." In search key in part you are looking for, to the left of the part you should see "View Job Diagram." Click on and a repair guide image showing location of part will come up. The diagram will show the climate control system for heater related parts such as the Blend Door Actuator, Heater Core, Heater Hose Clamps, Heater Motor Resistor, Heater Control Vavle, and Blower Motor.
Does the heater work when the coolant level goes below minimum level?
The heater is dependent on the coolant flowing through the heater core. If the coolant is low then there will not be any heat.
Heater on 1986 Corvette blows cold air?
Check coolant level in radiator Check to see if it is "airbound" Remove heater hose to see if there is fluid running through it Bad thermostat
Where is the heater blowing cold air on 2006 Chevrolet equinox?
A common cause is a broken temperature door in the dash.
Very big repair job.
See CHEVY EQUINOX and PONTIAC TORRENT no heat below...

Heat blend door. Yes a VERY expensive repair and it is becoming quite the popular problem in 2006 equinox but Chevrolet will not do anything about it.

websites I have found where people have complained about the air blend door. First off the Chevrolet dealer wants you to come in and pay ($85 at our dealership) to get the problem "diagnosed" (even though I told him what the problem was) then the cost to fix it ranges from just over $1,000 to $1,500 because they basically have to remove the entire dash to get to the air blend door only to replace it with another inferior product.
Whats wrong on a mercury mountaineer with duel controls when the heater only blows cold air?
Mercury Mountaineers have a "blend" door in the heater box. It is probably malfunctioning. You can find more info by searching for Ford + "blend door" or "no Heat"
Why would a car heater quit working and car over heat?
Most likely:
1-Insufficient amount of coolant (anti-freeze.).
2-Insufficient coolant flow (bad water pump or drive belt.)
Could be a vacuum leak "defrost" is the default position of the system Check vacuum lines and motors under the dash
The heater in your car is not working properly?
I have a 97 Buick Lesbre thermostat control temp blink every time I start my car and also blow cold air out what could be the problem?
I changed the thermostat twice and believe me its not easy...... I even check them in hot water before installing the second one and they both openned okay..... I still have the same condition..... I replaced the radiator cap...... I bled the water valves on both the upper hose fitting and heater hose.... The radiator fans both work, but seem to come at a very high guage temperature.....just short of the gauge red over heat zone...... The temperature gauge will remain steady at the first quarter mark for a few miles. Then the temperature will zoom to the gauge Red zone....
No indications of Coolant getting into the engine oil...... The exhaust does not have excessive vapor.
I have also noticed the reservoir tank will back fill to to almost over flowing...... This leads me to believe why the heater become cold intermittently (no hot water in heater hose).......
The water pump works....
The upper radiator hose gets real stiff as it feels it is under extreme pressure....
When the engine is cool and radiator cap is off, squeezing the upper radiator hose cause the coolant to move up and down at the fill port.....
Could the temperature sensor or circuitry that tells the radiator fans when to come on be intermittent or defective?
I have a 1099 Olds Silloette Van instead of the 2000 Chevy..... Same engine

Why does heater work only when your car is idle?
I am going to assume that you are pondering why the heater only maintains heat while the engine is running. The answer is quite simple. The engine uses a combination of anti-freeze and water to help keep it cool. The water is circulated by a water pump. The hot water moves through the heater core, which is a small radiator. The blower draws air through the fins of the heater core and heat is pulled from it. The water pump is usually belt driven, and the engine must be on in order for the coolant to circulate.
Can a Sony Ericsson c510 play mp4 videos?
i own a c510 as well.. according to a website http://www.mymobiles.com/phones/sony-ericsson/c510 says that this model is able to play MP4 video and music. but i don't understand why c510 cannot play certain mp4 videos
It sounds like your vacuum controls are stuck on the defroster I had that happen and I sprayed a lubricant into the vacuum lines and it cleared up
Is there a portable car heater to defrost windows and keep interior warm?
yes there are one's that plug into your cigerette lighter at any wal mart or car store, but they do any o.k job at best
Why 2002 Chevy Venture blows out cold air when stopped?
If you are referring to the temperature of the air coming from the heater, the most likely cause is low coolant in the cooling system. If that is the case, coolant is not flowing through the heater core when at idle, or stopped.
Easiest fix is to check the coolant level (engine cool) at the radiator cap. Make sure it is absolutely full. Once that is done, also check the level at the overflow tank. Make sure it is at least half full at all times. This helps to keep the coolant level "topped off" so that there is no air in the system.
Good Luck, Greg
Why your heater in 98 Lincoln mark viii only blow cold air 1?

Heater on Oldsmobile silhouette works but just doesn't get hot enough what would cause this?
might be a simple fix as adding antifreeze. sometimes when ur radiator is low enough it wont let the heat heat as much or at all.
I would check your anti-freeze level first and if its good i would proceed to changing your water pump & thermostat considering if I'm not mistaking its a 60k maintenance job and if that still fails it might be your heater core which is time consuming and expensive to change. (i have a little bit of knowledge towards this but I would check with a professional because I'm not one)
Check coolant level
could be a few reasons, check out your suspension rods, the tie rod ends, or maybe see if your tires are balanced
