How do you get rid of the smell of cigarette smoke on a stuffed toy?

Why would a 1986 Chevy suburban smell like gas while its running?
there are lots of possible causes:
1: Fuel Mixture too rich, an 86 should have a carburetor so you should be able to adjust the air/fuel mixture.
2: weak spark, causing incomplete combustion, not as likely as #1 but also possible. My '92 stinks of unburnt fuel when it's time to replace the plugs
3: Dead catalytic converter
4: fuel leak.
5: evap. emissions system problem.
CHeck the heater core and see if it's leaking
A burning or hot odor on a 2007 Ford Mustang could be coming from the transmission. There are several sensors in the transmission that could also be the culprit. A wire might be melting that is connected to one of the sensors.
Can you save fuel by pressing the clutch while running in fitth gear of four wheeler?
You can save fuel because the engine then goes back to idle. But by disconnecting the engine from the wheels (freewheeling) you don't have so much control over your car. You can also save fuel by turning off the engine and freewheeling down a hill, but if you have power brakes they won't have any power. Could be a problem.
I have sprayed the bathroom deoderizer "Oust" into the heater/air intake that's located in front of the windshield while the AC is on High and on Maxx cool, then switch to heater do same thing only on high heat and high fan speed. Let inside of car air out real well, drive and "voila" stink is gone. Most bathroom deoderizers 'mask' the odor, while oust kills the bacteria that makes the smell. Give it a spin! Be generous, I use about half a can to a car.
How do you get rid of mold smell from vents on a 2001 Dodge Intrepid?
Well, I read on another site that one of the likely causes of the smell is due to operating the AC with the air intake coming from outside. That lets dirty water and such into the system, which in turn becomes stagnant and smelly. So much in fact that its mistaken for body odor.
This makes sense to me so when I read the solution, I tried it and was very successful.
Turn on the AC to maximum, then make sure you set the intake to the outside setting. Then you choose a disinfectant/purifier/deodorizer of your choice, such as lysol, and you spray into the vents(it wasn't specific but I used half a can)on the outside of your vehicle near the wipers. After letting that run for a few minutes(15 or so),change the AC setting to recirculate the air inside your car, and spray(the other half) into the vents.
By the way, It worked great for me and I stopped using the outside are intake.

Why is there a Burning smell coming from my car?
check your engine oil if its low change it even if your car isn't due for a oil change. if your car is a standard make sure your not dogging your car out all the time or be sure your not burning your clutch out like most new stick drivers do. but just to make sure change all your fluids and use premium gas and use a fuel additive to help.
There are many reasons your check engine light could come on. If your motor died while driving you should check the rank shaft sensor module, alternator and catalytic converter.
Why does my 1999 Ford Expedition smell like antifreeze inside the car?

Running rich, check your jets, (carburetor) make sure your float is free.
If your car has a distributor:
You probably got water inside the distributor cap. It may help to remove the cap and dry it. If you see any green stuff in there, the cap and rotor have corroded. You should replace the cap and rotor. To prevent this happening again, you should also replace the distributor cap gasket.
How do you get rid of perfume smell?
I never tried this myself, but I would imagine that if you would scrub yourself with coffee beans, it would probably help. Coffee beans are known to be use das odor inhibitor, and sometimes in Europe you see a small bowl of them close to the perfumes section inside the stores, to brake that overpowered perfumed atmosphere for so many people spray them around. Another thing that might work is to rubb yourself with that stainless steel soap used in the kitchen, usually used to remove the onion smell from your hands when you are cooking.

How do you find out if your catalytic converter is bad?
your car may have a hard time picking up speed. also if possible crawl under the car and if the front(towards the motor)side of the catalytic converter is warmer than the back, it needs replacing
Usually there is a nasty smell like rotten eggs. Disconnect it on the side closest to the engine. If it runs better with the converter off then it is bad. You should replace it. according to the commission on keeping the air clean you are not SUPPOSED to replace the catalytic converter with a length of straight pipe at a fraction of the cost. Even though it could save a broke guy hundreds of dollars depending on his vehicle type you should not perform this action. Even if you're completely broke and will not have a way to work you should definitely not do this. But if by chance you do attempt this remember there is a back pressure line coming off of some catalytic converters. If you had one of these on yours and you attempted to replace it with a straight piece of piping you would need to plug that hole as it comes from the vehicle. Just so you know... not that you would or should do this as it is illegal.
What would cause an exhaust smell to appear in cabin?
Exhaust leak? Bad air pump?
It's not going to be an air pump. It's either an exhaust leak or a body hole. Look for wet or moldy spots in the carpeting or the trunk. It the exhaust loud? Common exhaust leaks are manifold-to-cat gaskets (donuts) and the top of the muffler. On my 1987 Taurus I had an exhaust pipe heat shield fall off - unfortunately my engine had a small oil leak that dripped right onto that pipe! Talk about stench... The odor was being pulled into the air intake for the heater.
