first of all if there is one on it u will take it off at the carb first unclip it or take the pin out holding it onto the carb then squeeze the tabs on each side of the plastic part going through the bracket on the engine just behind the carb then there will be a bolt where it bolts into the transmission on the drivers side remove the bolt ,pull the housing of the cable out keep pulling until the wire inside of the transmission is up so you can see it , then gently clamp a set of needle nose vise grips onto the wire to hold it up it will have a sort of bend on the top of the wire tilt the cable side ways and take off the wire. to install tilt the new cable sideways the same way and work back on the wire . NOTE : make sure the end of the cable is sitting same direction of wire once installed!! put housing back into transmission and put bolt back in . pull on opposite end of cable to make sure it is moving freely (should go back on its own)then reinstall the other end into the bracket on the motor and reattatch to carb. hope this helps

remove the scres around the fuel filler neck and remove the bolts holding the bed on the frame. There are only like 6 or 10 depending on model year i think. Lift off with a friend and do it that way, its way easier :)

right front, left rear of intake manifold. most engines are equipped with correct stamped steel brackets for this purpose.

NO it will not even come close to fitting.

The engine will smother down as if running out of fuel. When the fuel pump went out on my pickup, is just randomly quit. It worked fine one day, and when I went out to start it again, it would not start.

Yes it does it is under the distributor cap.

All V8 Chevrolet's firing order is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2. 1,3,5,7 is on the left bank and 2,4,6,8 is on the right bank. The distributor turns clockwise.

Check that you have fire at the sparkplug...can do this by holding sparkplug wire with screwdrive placed into holder and held close to motor block or remove plug and lay on block with good ground. No amount of gas or starter fluid will ignite if you don't have spark...............

a 350 will produce around 250 hp, and a 305 about 200 hp

1-8-4-3-6-5--7-2 clockwise on cap.

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 and the distriburetor rotates clockwise, drivers side plug #'s starting closest to the radiator 1,3,5,7 and passenger side starting closest to the radiator 2,4,6,8

Try to move the diaphragm on the EGR valve, it should move semi-easily but if it is hard as rock try pushing harder on it to free it up. My 91 k1500 305 had this same problem and that is what I did to solve it. Once the diaphragm moves freely remove the negative battery cable to reset the computer. Drive the car at highway speeds and see if the check engine light comes back on.

Yes, it will run ok, but if you ever have to pass an emissions test or if you're ever pulled over and someone looks under the vehicle who cares about such things it could end up being a big fine. That isn't recommended.

According to Edelbrock, the 2701 Performer EPS is designed for use with square bore carburetors (for those who don't know the difference between a square bore and a spread bore: A square bore has primaries and secondaries that are the same size; a spread bore has small primaries and large secondaries -- like a quadrajet).

Edelbrock recommends a 600 CFM performer carburetor for use with the 2701 intake manifold.

Edelbrock recommended part numbers are: 1405 with manual choke; or 1406 with electric choke and calibrated slightly leaner than the 1405 for daily driving & fuel economy.

You can also use Holley carburetors as well (vacuum secondary or double pumper in the size of your choice).

10w30 in hot climate 5w30 in cold climate same with all Chevy small blocks.

Sounds like the coolant sensor is unplugged....or possibly a bad sensor. Check to make sure it's plugged in...replace if needed.

Generally, the upper heater hose leads to the water pump.

The heads will fit the block, but the vortec intake manifold will not bolt to the old style

heads.

when you hammer on it it takes a sec for the gas to run on in the carb, it shouldn't be much of a hesitation but there could be a little, another thing would be to check your advance spark, it may be getting weak or gone out
