How do you change a driver's side door handle on a astro van?

Take off the door panel from inside. Start at the inside door handle, their are 2 plastic covers over the 2 screws that hold the door handle (pry these off with a flat screwdriver), undo the 2 hex screws and slide forward or back (I think forward) to remove it. There is a another screw (phillips) to undo at the right side of the panel . You will remove this also. Then pull out on the panel, starting at the bottom. There are thirteen plastic clips holding it. Any plastic clips that are too damaged to reuse can be replaced with new parts from the dealer. If they charge you more than 25 cents each, you might try a different dealer. When you get to the top of the door panel, it lifts straight up to come off of the door. If the door panel hasn't been removed before, there will be a paper moisture barrier in place that you probably have to tear to get access to the door handle. You can fix it with tape later if you don't tear it up too much. There are two nuts that hold the handle in place. You will need a 10mm open end wrench for the top nut. For the bottom nut, you must remove a plastic grommet from the end of the door then use a socket wrench with extension to remove the nut. The bottom nut is easy to remove, the top nut is fairly difficult especially puttng the nut back on. Someone with long skinny fingers will have no problem. There is also a clip that holds the handle to the linkage. To remove this, you pry up on the tab that sticks out toward the handle, and push it in the opposite direction. Take a look at the one that came with the new door handle to see how it works. The linkage fits into a slot in the clip, and moving the clip gets the slot to a wider opening where the linkage can slip right out. This is the trickiest part to reinstall. It is recommended that the key lock linkage be moved out of the way before doing any of this work. This is done by removing the circlip attached to the keylock, this allows the linkage to move up out of the way. The job is so much easier with this linkage not in the way.The new handles coming out of Taiwan used to be of better quality than the genuine AC Delco product, but this is no longer the case. I have heard that if you keep the linkage well lubricated, the handle will not break. This is probably true, so try to lubricate all the pivot points with white grease while you have the door taken apart. When you are ready to install the new handle, decide which clip to use for the linkage (the old one or the new one, use whichever looks of better quality), and slide the clip out a bit so the end of the linkage can slip into the hole. Also make sure the new door handle has a rubber gasket on the back to go between it and the door(some do not have a gasket). If not, use the one off the old door handle. To put the handle in place, you may have to operate it so that it is in the position it would be in if you were actually opening the door, and hold it like that against the spring as you slip it into position. Then, before putting the two nuts back on, get the linkage attached correctly. Put the nuts on, and the plastic grommet and door panel back on, and you're done. This job is harder then it looks for a nonprofessional but it can be done with a little patience.B:You can try the above and pull your hair out or just do as I did!

The Best way to remove and replace the old handle is to remove the door latching system there are 3 star drive screws located in the jamb, before you pull those out remove the 4 connecting rods to the latch, this will save you hours of trying to get to the top 10mm nut that is impossible to replace once off, removing the latch gives you "full access" to the top nut!

What is included in the tow package of a 2006 Chevy Express?

A transmission cooler. This is something you can add to any vehicle yourself. Difficulty level - 2/10.

The dealer MAY install a hitch, but don't count on it. The wiring is already in place for the trailer wire harness whether you get the tow package or not. you just have to buy the "pigtail" and plug it in near the underbody spare tire.

How do you remove the stereo from a 2000 Chevy Express van?

To access the stereo compartment, you need to remove the trim in front of it. There is a large trim piece that covers the stereo, a/c controls, and wraps over the top of the steering wheel/instrument panel. Gently pull it away from the dash. It is held in with clips, not screws. It will pop free. When you remove it, you will see the screws that hold the stereo in place. You will need a wiring harness to match the van if you are installing a new aftermarket stereo. You will likely also need an install kit. They can be bought at most places that sell decent car stereos. (Best Buy, Circuit City, Sound Advice, etc.)

Why are so many pastors getting a divorce especially when they know who God is as you can't preach something and then live something else?

What's worse, staying married without love or being honest and getting a divorce? Our concept of the purpose of marriage has changed: we no longer think people who don't love each other should stay married just because. People used to stay married even when they hated each other. We're just getting more honest about it is all. One reason is they don't preach it either!

Yet if one looks at what the Bible says Moses allowed divorce because of 'hardness of heart' - the Israelites were just plain stubborn. Jesus, who was certainly present in the beginning to bless the first marriage said 'in the beginning it was not so,' meaning that even though Moses allowed divorce this was not God's original intention. Nothing could be clearer.

On the other hand there are great stresses on a pastor's marriage, especially if the church he pastors doesn't appreciate the need for a pastor and his wife to be allowed some occasional privacy. The devil in particular wants to scatter the flock and so targets church leaders especially.

Another reason may be that they fail to see the importance of their example, although this is taught in scripture. A loving marriage as God intended, is a beautiful picture of Christ and the church. Maybe some pastors give too much to their church and have nothing left emotionally for their wife. They also may not see that everything they preach, including (I hope) the importance of repentance also applies to the pastor at times. God can indeed make all things new, even a bad marriage, as he is the author of love.

Pastors, like many others today may be infected with the idea that divorce is an 'option' if things don't work out. This often then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy as the marriage is not worked on and cherished as it ought to be., quite apart from the fact that this idea is unbiblical.

If a 1987 RX-7 1.3 B rotary engine has been rebuilt why would it blow blue smoke on cold starts for a few seconds and then run fine?

This is actually to be expected to a certain extent with these cars, since they are designed to inject a small amount of oil into the combustion chamber to cool and lubricate the seals. When the engine is shut off the last bit of this injected oil does not get burned off, and just sits in the combustion chamber. It is then burned at startup along with freshly injected oil, giving a "double dose" for a second or two. I would be more concerned if, after sitting a while, the motor DIDN'T produce a little blue smoke. Now if it looks like you're fogging for mosquitoes, I'd say your rebuild wasn't a complete success, but as long as the smoking stops within a few seconds, I'd say it's OK. I totally agree with the above answer... I've owned 2 RX7's and the both blew blue smoke at start up. ZOOM ZOOM!!!!!!!!!!

Ditto. I own one with 63,000 miles on it and it does it too.

my 84 rx7 has 160,000 miles and does it aswell and she still runs stong

these motors, 12A and the 13B, have an oil metering pump that injects oil into the rotor housings every time you use the gas pedal. so the more that you pump the gas the more oil that is injected into the housings. its to help all the seals and apex seals to live in the harsh temps in a rotor motor.(long time rotary driver and racer) thanks

How is the idle adjusted on a Chevy 5.7 liter fuel injected engine?

There is no adjustment for the idle. It is controlled by the computer. If it is not idling properly, you probably have a bad Idle Air Control ("IAC Motor") or a bad Throttle position Sensor ("TPS Sensor") If it is turning the check engine light on, you should check to see what code it is setting in the computer.

How do you remove the window handle on a 1998 Chevy Express van?

Instructions for this puzzling step were provided with speakers shipped from Crutchfield. 1. Exert pressure around the hole where the handle goes through the panel. 2. If you press hard enough, you'll see a wire horse-shoe-shaped clip that looks like the Greek letter Omega. 3. Slip a strip of cloth [terry cloth or shop towel] under the clip and, with a see-saw motion [or inverted shoe shine motion, lift up against the open end of the clip - it works best if the cloth is in a "V" shape, the better to engage the open end of the clip and its bent-out "feet". 4. Be careful that you don't lose the clip when it finally releases into the strip of cloth!
