Where is the PCV in a 1999 Chrysler Town Country?
I have a 97 Town and country LXI FWD with a 6 cylinder engine. If you are standing at the front of the vehicle looking at the engine, the PCV valve is on the left side of the engine under the intake runners. There is a long hose that runs all the way under the intake runners and then connects into the intake on the right side (there is an elbow right where it connects in).

Where exactly is the PCV valve on a 2000 Honda Civic EX?
Answer: It is on the back side of the engine, just above the oil filter. A rubber hose leads from it up through the intake manifold. You can see it when you remove the oil filter. You can not see it from above the engine, you must look up from below after the oil filter is removed.
Positive crankcase ventilation?
Also known as PCV, and commonly associated with a PCV Valve. What is it? A method the engine on your car uses to ensure there is no excessive pressure build-up in your crank case (By allowing it to vent when needed); And also (More important for pollution control) - Redirects that vented gas back into the air-intake system to be burned off as combustion during normal engine operation. The PCV Valve is just a little (usually plastic) one-way vent tube. It allows the engine to release pressure, but does not allow the engine to "Pull" or "Inhale" for lack of a better word, through the same valve. If the engine could not vent excess gas, it would cause all kinds of problems, from stalling to moisture-contaminted oil. If one were to remove the PCV valve, the excess gas would be released into the open air, more causing pollution. The engine it self will continue to run without the PCV valve installed, but there are some down-stream issues with this; Namely the ability for moisture and other pollutants & particulates to re-enter the engine's crank case and mess things up.
How do you get the oil out of an 88 Harley which has filled up the crankcase?
a twin cam 88 incher should not have that problem since the oil tank, (pan) is mounted under the tranny, but if it gets oil in the dry sump, run the engine at idle , the scavenge portion of the oil pump will lift it out, some will go back in the tank, some will go into the crankcase breather and spew out the air filter. Clean the breather out, change the oil remaining in the pan, put on a filter and don't store your bike lying down on the floor and that won't happen
Hello, I presume that you are talking about a 1988 harley and not an 88 inch? If the oil gets into the crankcase, most of it will scavenge back to the oil tank when the motor turns over. If you have a fresh battery, remove the spark plugs, put bike in neutral and if possible place a catch pan under the crank case vent (CCV). Look into the oil bag and note the oil level. Crank the motor for 30 seconds or so while looking for oil returning into the bag. Let starter cool for a couple minutes and repeat this process. You can do it the quick way, by starting the bike but if you do, be sure to have your bike out in the dirt somewhere or something under it because some oil will be pushed out of the (CCV) tube after starting the motor. This looks bad and if not prepared makes a mess for a short time. This should only take a few minutes. Be sure to look into the oil bag shortly after startup to insure oil is coming back up into the bag as you don't want to run the bag dry. After the CCV stops spewing and the crank cases have cleared (you will know this as the oil level in the bag is constant and the CCV is no longer spewing oil) you may top the bag up and go for a ride!
Where is the PCV valve on a 1992 Ford Thunderbird sport 5.0L 302?
The most common place for a PCV valve is on the valve cover.
On a 2001 Toyota Rav4 2.0L specifically where is the PCV valve located?
If you pull off the front of the air cleaner as to change the filter, you can see it coming in at an angle on the left, back side of the valve cover. You will have to disconnect the two 10mm bolts holding the back of the air cleaner down, prop up the left side, and you can get a 7/8" boxed end wrench in to loosen it.
How do you change PCV valve for 93 dodge Dakota?
Pull it out of the valve cover, twist it out of the hose from the intake. Reverse steps to reinstall.

Where is the PCV valve in a 01 Kia Optima 2.5L located?
On the intake manifold near the firewall. AutoZone part number PCV1171. It is all steel construction, about 2 inches long, and screws into the manifold. The rubber hose that slips onto it needs to be changed as well if it is less than "like new".
The function of a sensor is to read or "sense" something and send a signal to the computer. The crankshaft sensor, for example, senses when the crankshaft gets to a certain point, and keeps the engine firing in time.
Where is the PCV valve on a 2001 Camaro with a V6 3800 engine?
I had a 96 with a 3.8 and i believe it was on the left side of the engine, right into the valve cover. I do remember that it stuck out and had a 90 degree elbow on it. I suggest buying it, if you haven't, and trying to match the part up with something on that side of the engine. I hope that i have helped a little. On a 2001 V6 3800 series engine, the PCV valve is situated underneath a two-bolt cover located on the left (passenger) side of the engine (right next to the "3800 series" stamp!). In other words, it's right on top of the engine, easily accessible, and you'll use a 10mm socket for the bolts. Make sure the engine has cooled before you do the change (at least an hour after driving). If you still have trouble finding it, the cover is shaped somewhat like this <> and has "PCV" stamped in small print. The part costs under $4. This poster is correct, however, there is a gasket and this PCV Valve is under spring tension so slowly loosen the bolts, if your engine is like mine, the gasket material will have bonded, and it will require you to pry apart the cover from the plenum. Most importantly, lube the PCV when you fit it back into the spring, and make sure the O ring does not fall into the intake. There is an O ring at the bottom of the PCV valve, just simply remove with small needlenose pliers. Question : I am also trying to replace the PCV valve - but on a 98 Camaro 3.8 - I removed the two bolts on the top of the valve cover next to the 3800 series stamp on the engine. There is a spring inside there. The guy at AutoZone told me that was not the correct place. I put the small cover back on. After reading these comments I guess I was right. I am just concerned about the O ring, is that something that can easily fall inside? Also the new PCV valve didn't come with a new O ring, should it of?
In a 1986 full size Ford Bronco where is the PCV valve located?
By the carburetor its a round metal looking thing and it has vacuum hoses running into it
if it's fuel injected it's on the passenger side valve cover in the back under the corner of the intake manifold

Where is the PCV valve on a 2003 trailblazer?
There is no typical PCV valve in these trucks. There is a ventilation tube that is connected to the bottom of the Resonator box that sits on top of the motor. Says "Vortec 4200" on it. When you take the box off to clean the throttle body - yes clean it if you want to correct idle or stumbling when AC is on - you must ensure that it is reconnected along with the fuel Pressure switch vacuum tube.
What is the function of crankcase heater?
Crankcase or "head bolt" heaters are so nice for a vehicle in very cold areas. The way they work is usually to replace a "freeze out plug" with a small electrical heating element (sized for the specific vehicle.) The lower portion of the engine is kept warm enough to allow easier starting since the coolant & oil are at a temperature where the parts of the engine can move fluids around more efficiently. If you install one, route the wires so they will not be effected by heat or moving parts. When I have installed "head bolt" or "in-line" heaters I usually connect them to an external timer, as the electrical heaters use a considerable amount of power, and the engine will be just as warm when you go to start them. Depending on the temperature, 4 hrs. is usually sufficient, experiment with the time and temperatures. NOTE: If you do use a timer make sure the timer is capable of the heater's wattage. Please remember to unplug your vehicle before driving away. :-)

Where is the PCV valve on a 2002 Pontiac Bonnevelle?
This answer is false there IS a PCV on a 2002 Bonneville. It is located on the Intake manifold on the left hand side. There is a sensor mounted on top of it. You need to disconnect the sensor first, then twist the sensor to the left and pull it off. It has an o ring underneath be sure to not loose this, and the PCV valve is now in plain view. Pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers. It also has an o ring wrapped around it. This should come out with the valve to be reused. =) there is not one even though the books call for a fram 299 pcv valve so dont worry bout it

in the trans should have a vacuume line hooked to it
Could a broken PVC elbow or vacuum line cause the crank position sensor to go out?
No it wouldn't, but jump starting the car or over heating the engine would crap out the sensor.
I'm in the process of changing my crank position sensor now, but my original broke in my engine block ... so I need to drill a hole so I can pull it out without pushing it in my block. :(
Where is the pcv valve on a 1987 Lincoln Town Car?
This is a fun one. At the back of the intake manifold there is about a 6" gap between the manifold and the firewall. The PCV is back there at the base of the manifold, which is about 10" down.
