Why can comedians get away with racism when everyone else cannot?
Comedians are one of the least liable kinds of people on this planet. They can get away with most comments actually. The main reason for this is because they aren't intended to be taken seriously, so they aren't. The only time that they're ever taken seriously is when they make a statement that is a blatant insult. I can't bring myself to type an example, but I think that you can guess what kind of comments comedians couldn't get away with. Well, usually, said comedians are taking advantage of what is called a double standard. They can be racist, but only to their own race. They also sometimes get away with slight racism towards other races, though this is rare.

"Racist" attitudes didn't exist in the 15th or 16th centuries. "Racism" as a concept did not exist until the 18th century at the earliest. Answer: We can teach our children better than ourselves that skin color should play no part in judging another human being, and in deciding whether they are "good enough" to hang around, marry, take on a job, etc. After all, the children are always the future, and whatever ideals, values, morals, and so on they learn will carry on to the future. So if they learn how bad racism is and why they shouldn't hold views as such, it can and will stop.

What year was racism at it worst?
well obviously it was pretty bad throughout history and there is no way to really tell a specific year considering noone is old enough to have lived through All periods of intense racism. It should also be pointed out that there has been racism in different areas of the world. There is no way to tell which country, ethnic group, or religous group has been shown racism in a worse way than the others. I think some common and reasonable answers for time periods-not a specific year- that were the the worst for racism would be:in between the revolutionary and civil war, the holocaust, jews throughout history, japanese internment after pearl harbor attack, and many countless other situations with high body counts due to human ignorance. :)
