As Obama's father was a Muslim, hopefully the U.S. will treat Arabs and Muslims with respect.

He is the first black president of the USA.

He maintains a high moral character and supports his wife's initiative of fighting obesity.

He has proven strong in areas where critics thought he would be weak (defense).

He has promoted "social justice" over the interests of Wall Street.

To the contrary, it wasn't only Jews who were persecuted, though they did constitute the majority. Gyspsies, gays, other minorities and political disidents were all targeted, imprisoned and executed during the years of the Holocaust. They were targeted because Hitlor needed someone to blame the problems of Geremny on and in the bible the caused so much troble the Hitlor knew the would be a easy target.

The 1920s was a time of tension in relations between whites and blacks and between Americans who practiced the traditional "moral code" and those who rejected them. The Great War exposed black American troops to a white society. When they returned from the war, they found their situation as second class citizens still part of American society. Race riots broke out in several major cities with the most costly being in Chicago where 38 people were killed before it was over. Marcus Garvey and W.E.B. DuBois preached "Black Nationalism" during the 20s. The KKK reached the height of its power during the decade, with a march in Washington, D.C. in 1924 that included many high ranking politicians. The KKK was a major power in the Democratic Party. The Congress also passed the most discriminatory immigration law to date during the 20s. People associated foreigners from central and eastern Europe as communists or anarchists.

Because that won't make people feel good. They will have low confidence in themselves and it will affect them for the rest of their lives.

People don't discriminate against Supernaturals because of the way they are born, they discriminate because they are a visible minority, which is the reason why people discriminate against any particular group.
If a group is large and present then people in general learn to live with them. Take men and women. They are two easily discernible groups, that do have their differences at times, but more often then not they learn to co-exist. Take the Chinese. When in china most foreigners learn to deal with them. When the Chinese exist in small ghettos in North America there has been (is) terrible discrimination.

I assume you are referring to the Science-Fiction opus by St.Exuperby dealing with the chance encounter between a French airman and the alien in some desert parts of North Africa (presumaby during WW-2) The Alien hails from Asteroid B-6l2 it is funny but 6-l2 is a popular spray-on pesticide, maybe M. St.Exuperby had a can of this stuff inhhis survival kit! The Alien is white. I don"t think the story in any way relates to racism but possibly tolerance and peace. I have long believed this was the remote progenitor or prototype of ( I Dream of Jeannie) which mroe sensibly had a female character-wpuldn"t that be more like what a downed airman would want? There are a number of similarities. I got the drift that M St.Exuperby might have been a (Homo) by making the alien character (and he was writing for a mixed audience) male instead of say an extraterrestrial Anastasia type- ah the Little missing Princess, that is more like it. I don"t6 like his metaphors, Hallmark card rhapsodies rather than Horsepower and say, Rato boost Onn! Now we are moving! To each his own, I thought the tale had Gay overtones, as do some comic strips (Top Cat, for one)

No not at all. Some people see the high rate of crime wellfare consumption drug use ect and see this as evidence that blacks are geneticly inferior. All of these are not genetic problems but cultural problems that were spawned by the current wellfare entitlement state. Progressive policies have ravaged the black family that had endured so much in the past. Wellfare needs to be reformed, a school voucher system must be put in place and we must brake the backs of big unions and community organizers. Then the black community would be lifted from poverty

No one should be discriminated against. However, if the disorder interferes with his/her ability to do the job as required its another story. You cannot expect an employer to sacrifice productivity, efficiency, and proficiency, just because an employee has a disorder. Its not fair to the company, other employees, and customers/clients. The employer should display some social responsibility by attempting to help the individual, however it also depends on the size and ability of the organization to provide such services.
